How do I export versions to a memory stick

Hi
I said that I would do a wedding for a friend, although know I wish I had not and just stuck to Landscape photography.
He is going to require the adjusted version, "i believe" so, all I want to do is export adjusted versions, possibly masters to a DVD or Memory stick but I can find nothing that actually tells you how to do this.
I hope someone can explain how to do this as I cannot afford to make a mistake.
Thanks

Will he be able to use a memory stick formatted for  Mac, OS X Extended.
He will not be able to read a stick formatted for Mac. Use the filesystem that the stick will come preformatted with. That will usually be a file system that both mac and Windows systems can write to.
Just avoid long filenames with ethnic characters, when you are naming the files.
The memory stick will be better than a CD/DVD.
To elaborate on Frank's answer:
Insert the USB stick:
Select the images you want to export in the Browser .
Use File > Export > Versions
Select your USB stick in the file chooser.
For the highest quality use "Jpeg > Original size" (or" tiff > Original size")
Select a naming scheme in the export dialog.
Export.
If you want to write several USB sticks, you may want to export to a folder on your Desktop and copy this folder to each stick using the Finder.

  • Export from itunes onto memory stick

I have been trying to export my music in MP3 form from iTunes onto a memory stick for use in my car. I can't figure out how to do this. There is lots of information about transferring music to another Apple product, but not a memory stick. I'd appreciate any help.

If the songs are not already in MP3, create MP3 versions using the document 1550 that Niel references.
Insert the memory stick in your computer and open it so it looks like a folder. Then highlight the songs in iTunes and drag them to the folder. This will cause the songs to be copied to the memory stick.
If you happen to be running iTunes in full screen mode, make it smaller so that you can see the folder and you will know what you are doing.

  • How to delete locked files on flash memory stick

Several files on my memory stick have somehow become locked and cannot be deleted. When I unlock them in their Info window and then close the window, they revert to locked status. How can I delete these files?
    iBook   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

When I unlock them in their Info window and then close the window, they revert to locked status.
This suggests that the items have the schg flag set; it is possible to turn the flag off, but if there's little or nothing else you want on the drive, you're better off by copying the remaining items if any to your hard disk and then reformatting the flash drive in the Disk Utility, which is in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder. If you still want to clear the flag, follow the instructions for your version of Mac OS X on this page.

  • How can I transfer a podcast to memory stick?

I have several Podcasts in iTunes that I would like to keep ( I need to move them I am very short of memory) They are too 'big' to burn to disc, so I would like to put them onto a memory stick/flash drive. I have tried drag and drop, but that does not work!
    Any ideas?

I use an older iTunes version and I can move podcasts about as files.  It may be you are having problems copying to the memory stick.  I find I cannot drag from iTunes to a sub-folder on a FAT formatted drive, I have to copy it to the top level of the drive, then move it to a sub-folder, or do it all in Finder.

  • Exporting playlists to ext. memory stick? Please help.

Anyone know if it is possible to transfer/export playlists from itunes to an external memory stick?
I am hopping there is an easier way to export the playlist as a whole rather that manually dragging and dropping individual tracks using finder?
Can anyone help us on this one?

Thanks for your advice Jolly but I have tried to export and drag the playlist into the memory stick using finder and only the .txt file is transferred. Must I be doing this incorrectly?
no. i may have misinterpreted your intention. i thought you wanted to put the playlist on another computer. you can import the resulting .txt file in iTunes on another computer, however, the actual tunes would have to be present in the other machine's library for the playlist to work.
It seems to work if I select multiple files from the playlist then drag to memory stick.
    yes.
I hope there is a simpler way.
there ain't. you could burn the playlist as an mp3 CD which can be imported on another machine ...

  • How I can download my pictures from memory stick pro duo to my mac?

I purchase my first iMac a couple months ago and bassically everything is new for me.
I want to start dowloading pictures and videos to my iPhoto but I notice that my video camera memory card fits in the reader I purchase iVI to be able to transfer all my videos to my mac and honestly really hard and lots of steps but now from my sony camera, the memory stick pro duo doesn't fit in the reader so I purchase a Tangus adapter and the memory card fits in it but when I connecterd to the USB port noting happend, do I have the right adater? Which is the best way to do all the downloading video and picture process easier...
My question is: How can I start downloading all my pictures from my memory stick pro duo?

Have you tried connecting your camera directly to the iMac using the correct cable? If you provide more information about the camera you are using we can provide recommendations on which cable to use if you don't already have one.
If the Tangus adapter is working then you should be able to open a Finder menu and see the memory card listed in the left column under the 'Devices' section. If you click on it the files should show up. If you launch the iPhoto application it should see the memory stick and give you the opportunity to load the images. Depending on how your preferences are set, iPhoto will automatically launch whenever you connect the camera or a memory stick that has photos on it.
In order to find out whether your iMac sees the Tangus adapter pull down the Apple menu and select 'About this Mac...' When the new window opens click on the 'More Info...' button, then click on the 'System Report...' button. A new window will open listing all of the attributes for your system. Click on the 'USB' section in the Hardware column located on the left side of the window. This will display the USB device tree which includes all of the USB devices connected internally and externally to your iMac. Do you see an entry for your Tangus adapter? You can click on each device to obtain more detailed information if you aren't sure which device is which. If the Tangus adapter isn't visible then the adapter may be bad. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter to a different USB port, then press the command-R keys to refresh the USB device tree. If the adapter appears then you may have had a bad connection or a problem with the port. If it still doesn't appear then test the adapter on another computer or take it back to the place of purchase to exchange the adapter.

  • How do I troubleshoot downloading from my memory stick to my IPad first generation?, How do I troubleshoot downloading from my memory stick to my IPad first generation?, How do I troubleshoot downloading from my memory stick to my IPad first generation?

I am traveling abroad and very frustrated!  I have the adaptors to Download my photos from a memory stick but nothing happens!  It worked once before but now I am wondering if it was because I used a card reader. Help!  I wants to see my photos!!

If the photos on the SD card are coming directly from a camera then they should be recognised. If you added the photos to the card yourself then the card needs to have a DCIM directory off its root, with the photos underneath it with filenames of exactly 8 characters (no spaces) plus their file extension.
You could try closing the Photos app completely and see if it then works after you re-open it. From the home screen (i.e. not with the Photos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • How can I import pics from a memory stick?

I am trying to import my pictures from a flash drive or memory stick and it keeps telling me that it's not supported. This is my first mac by the way...

Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Try to import the photos from the memory stick.
If that fails make a temporary, duplicate copy of your library and apply the three fixes in order as necessary.
    Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your HD/User/Home()/ Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your HD/User/Home()/Library /Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #3
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • HT1338 how do i import photos from camera or memory stick?

How do i best imort photos from memory stick?

Plug your USB flash drive into your USB port. Your device will appear in the Finder with your images. If your camera takes an SD card, you can insert the SD card into the SDSX slot of your Macmini. In iPhoto, under preferences, you can choose to have the application automatically import images, if you desire.

  • If i insert a memory stick, how do i view?

If I insert a memory stick, how do I view it? and how do I eject.

I believe by memory stick you mean USB flash drive / thumb drive, correct?
To view it, open Finder, and in the left-hand pane it should appear, below the rest of your folders, devices, and networked computers. You can open it just like you would the other folders in that pane.
To eject it, right click on the icon that appears representing the memory stick on the desktop, and click "eject." Alternatively, you can go into Finder, right click on it, and click "eject" (I believe you can do this).
Do NOT just unplug it. It is not good for your computer or the flashdrive.

  • My memory stick, transcend 4gb is now unreadable by my mac book pro

how can I recover files from my memory stick for free.

You will need to find out if the problem is with the memory stick or with the computer. Simplest way to do this is to connect the memory stick to another Mac computer. If it reads, save the files on that computer and troubleshoot your computer. If it does not, then the problem is with the memory stick. If that is the case you will have much greater problems recovering your files.
    Best of luck.
