How do I Exporting rules, signatures and mailboxes

I am trying to import my rules, signatures and mailboxes from Apple Mail program into Gmail. How do we do this?

xfa.host.appType will return HTML 5 if rendered as HTML, you can test that value and enable the appropriate signature type

How can I create a signature and then use it to sign a document in e mail?

Not sure I understand the question correctly.
Open Mail and click on Preferences under the Mail menu. Click on the Signatures icon in the toolbar. You can set up your signatures there.
But if you are talking about adding a written signature, then you cannot do that within Mail. You would need to scan in an image of your written signature then manually add it to a signature you create in mail as a graphic image. That seems to work.

  • Once made a selection in photoshop how do you export in Illustrator and use it with a cutting plotte

once made a selection in photoshop how do you export in Illustrator and use it with a cutting plotter?

Plotters require continuous paths. Convert the selection to a path and clean it up suitably. Copy&paste it to Illustrator and use it as a clipping mask on your artwork or whatever. You may also need to create a duplicate layer/ separate PDF file file. Talk to the people doing the plotting.

  • How do I export a file and keep the aspect ratio intact?

I'm exporting an edited scene from an external hard drive to a macbook but the video on the laptop is anamorphic (squished) compared to the original file on the hard drive.  How do I export the file and keep the aspect ratio intact?

Please give the exact specs of your project. If the material is anamorphic, aspect ratio display is a function of the playback device. What is it?

  • How do I export or archive Mail mailboxes?

I used to be able to archive Mail email boxes and they'd have the name of the mail box and would be clearly an archive = I just tried to do so [running Lion] and what comes up is "com.apple.Mail.Backup" = with the icon of the 'old' Apple Backup program.  So, if I go to export [archive, backup or whatever] Mailbox 1 and then go to 2, then it won't have the right name and might get overwritten.
What do I do???  I need to archive or back up a whole bunch of emails and am concerned about losing them etc.

I don't know what was happening but yesterday I went back and did the Export/Archive function and it ended up doing just as I expected, exporting the mailbox as an mbox format =finally!!!  Not sure why it went haywire but all is fine now.

  • How do you export logic projects, and into soundcloud without ruining any quality?

I export a song, and it lost alot of volume. I found a way around that by adding adaptive limiter to the entire mix. It helped alot. Now I post it to soundcloud and then some of the instruments quality degrade. And when i play it in iTUNES or even the finder window, it is how i want it to sound. When I hear it on soundcloud, its quality and volume degrades. Is there a way around this???
    please help! Thanks!

Just to clarify before I make any suggestions is that what most DAWs call exporting isn't called exporting in Logic, it's called Bounce. If you use the export command in Logic it will give you seperate WAV files for each track and .midi files for any midi tracks you have in your project. The Bounce command is right below the export command in the file menu, though.
The settings you choose when bouncing really depends on your preferences and how big of a file you care to have. If you have no mastering or mixing left to do you should choose PCM saved as WAV or AIFF (I'm honestly not sure of the pros and cons of the two), but you can bounce the project as more than one file format at once so you don't really have to choose only one.
If you bounce to an MP3 go ahead and choose the highest settings which I believe is 320CBR (320 constant bitrate). You can also bounce as AAC, which I prefer because Apple Lossless results in a fairly small file (compared to WAV) while maintaining good quality. You can also manage the file's metadata from this menu so your ID3 tags are good to go.
Like I said it's really up to your preferences and what you are going to use the file for.

  • How can I export a video and keep the date?

When I export the video and import it again, it changes the date to the date of today. It doesn't happen with the photos, only with videos.
I changed the dates of a lot of videos and then re-imported them again, I realised I lost all my work of editing.
    Thanks,

You can only modify the File Created date with a 3rd party application after you export it to the Desktop.  Video files do not have EXIF field that image files do so can't be modified by iPhoto or Photos.  What I do is rename the file with the date created and a brief description like:  2005-01-08-LaHanbraSpain.mov
You can do that with one of the Automator/Applescripits that léonie has posted in the User Tips section:Photos for Mac
Photos for Mac: Batch Change the Descriptions
Then export the original out with the option File Name = Title

  • Outlook 2013 - How do I utilize both Signatures and Stationery? Help!

This is a bit of a weird one to describe as I've never really used stationery in Outlook so here goes.
Employees utilize BOTH the signature and stationery. A standard block of (formatted) text is used in the signature and the stationery calls on an image hosted on our website. In Outlook 2003, this is handled beautifully. The signature comes first and the
stationery (the image on the website) is appended to the end of the e-mail. This is a image strip is about 180x720.
What gives? I've never seen stationery used this way so I'm a bit lost. Maybe there's a better way of handling this altogether?

    Hi Adrian,
It’s quite easy, you can customize signature in Microsoft Outlook using the stationery and make it more attractive.
Via using the “Signature” feature in a Outlook
    new message, users can add
stationery factors on it like fonts, font's color, images, links etc.

  • How to export Account settings and mailboxes

I am migrating to a new computer.
Now I need to trasfer some of the Mail.app data from the old mac, including:
    --the mail account settings
--For POP3 accounts, i need to transfer the msgs for those inboxes because the received mails do not have a copy on the servers.
--the Sent box in Mail.app. It seems this is a "global" container for all outgoing msgs, regardless IMAP or POP3 accounts. And I assume all the msgs therein are stored locally.
These are everything I need to transfer. And not with other user data. So i guess the Migration Assistant wont help.
Email clients normally have Export/Import functions but i cant find them with Mail.app.
So how should I do the transfer as specified above? Thanks folks.

If you don't want to use Migration Assistant, you could just copy the files to an external HD and then copy them into the exact same locations on the new machine. You can find the emails here:
Users -> Library -> Mail -> there are several folders you want to copy: Mailboxes, all POP-yourname (if more than one).
As for account settings: what I've done is simply take a screenshot of every window in accounts, named it, and then have a copy to look at if I need to set it up again.
Address Book: If you will highlight one entry, then "select all", and then choose export under file menu, you can export the entire Address book and import the entries into the new one.

  • How can I change Output Method and Mailbox# programmatically (without GUI)?

We have several iR5075s and about 300 workplaces. For security reasons we only allow "Store" output method. So every user has access to some printers and for every printer they need to reconfigure printing preferences.
For convenience we'd like to do the following automatically (via Group Policy or scripts):
    1) Change "Output Method" to "Store".
    2) Set the correct mailbox number.
The problem is that the related settings seem to be stored in registry as a binary blob (HKCU\Printers\Connections\<printer name>\DevMode). I've been searching for a while but I couldn't find anything that would explain what's what in that blob.
    Any clues?
    Or maybe there's another way?
P.S. I'm familiar with scripting, regular expressions, etc. Acquiring the necessary parameters (such as mailbox#) is not a problem at all. I only need to know where and what I should change (in registry or elsewhere).
[Edit] Update: Actually it seems the settings are stored in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider\<user sid>\Printers\Connections\,,<server name>,<printer name>\RemotePrinterCache. It's also a binary blob though.
Eventually I'll reverse engineer it enough for my goals. I just don't understand why it must be so complicated...

But I'm not sure how useful you'll find it. I wrote it as a temporary solution (we're now migrating to UniFlow) and it's anything but universal. At best, I guess, you'll be able to salvage some of my code while writing your own.

  • How can I get my bookmarks and mailboxes off my old iBook G4 that crashed?

My OS crashed. I reinstalled it, but still could not access anything. I took the computer to a repair person. He created a new account and retrieved everything I had on my desktop, but not my mailboxes or bookmarks. He said there is a way to do that, but it would be very expensive for me to have him do it. He said I could come here and find out. So here I am.
I can get online and to the desktop of this new account, but that's all. How can I get that stuff? I need it very badly.......
It was an iBook G4 14" with 10.4.11.
    Thanks!

  • How to create new storage group and mailbox database on exchange 2007 CCR

    Hi, Our Environment:
    Exchange 2007 SP3 CCR.
Now I want to create a new storage group with edb file and log files on the new drive.
    My plan is as below:
Once we have new drive ready on both active node and passive node,
1): Create new storage group with log files for this new storage group on other new drive from Active Node.
2): Create new mailbox database under this newly created storage group with the DB file on the new drive from active node.
    My question is:
1): Do I need to perform above steps from active node only? or Do I need to do it from both active node and passive node?
2): How many storage groups can we create on one Exchange 2007 Enterprise server, we already have 25 SGs in place.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Here are my answers you can refer to:
    1. We can just create new storage group on the active node. And it’ll be replicated to the passive node.
We can use the following command in EMS to verify the new Storage Group is being replicated to the passive node:
    Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus "Second Storage Group" | Select SummaryCopyStatus,CCRTargetNode
    http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2007/08/how-to-create-new-storage-group-in-ccr.html
    2. For Exchange 2007 enterprise version, we can have up to 50 storage groups:
