How do I extract a portion out of a picture?

how do I extract a portion out of a picture? I need to be able to cut out cows in a field and place them on the moon instead.

Hello Halle,
You can extract the audio form a movie clip by selecting the clip that you want the audio from then go to the drop down menu Modify > Detach Audio and then you will see the audio in green and then can move it to where you want it to be. Take a look at the article below for more information how to extract the audio from a video clip. Let me know if this helps

  • How do i extract supporting documents out of PLM for Process?

    We need a process to extract the supporting documents out of PLM for process in order for us to save them out on the sharepoint for the users who do not have access to the application.
    Thanks!

    I can retrieve documents from iCloud.com on my iMc at work that is running OS X 10.4.11. I do it all the time.
    Log into iCloud.com and the iWorks icon. In the next window you can click on Pages, Keynote or Numbers at the top. When you click on Pages - all of your Pages files will appear in the browser window. Tap on any of the documents and you can download them to the Mac.
    You can do the same thing in the Keynote and Numbers sections of your iCloud account - you do not need to be running Lion or Mountain Lion in order to do this using a browser on the Mac. You may get a "unsupported browser" warning depending on what browser you use (Safari is the best choice for this) but it will work anyway, just ignore the message.
    BTW ... The documents should be on your iPad in the Pages, Keynotes and Number apps anyway. If they are, you can use file sharing to get them into iTunes and from there yoy can save them to your desktop on the Mac.
    When I copy and paste this from a Google search, this does not show up as a valid link in blue type, but you can tap or click on the "iOS: About File Sharing" heading and it should open the kb article anyway.

  • How to extract the signal out from the waveform by my designated power level?

    Dear all,
         How can  I extract the signal from the waveform accroding to the power level? I read the Trigger&Gate.vi, but this vi extract signal according to the duration time. I want to extract signal according to power level.
         As shown in the following figures, the signal I want to process is between 130000 to 140000, if I zoom in, I can see the the useful signal is between 135400 to 138200. The question is how to extract the signal in the zone?
        I tried the sub_NoiseEst_And_Chop_Shell.vi in the Packet_based_link example too, but this subvi seemed to be a little slow. Can anybody give me better advice? Thanks in advance!
    Solved!

    I was working on something similar but haven't had time to fully develop it.
    My idea was to use an envelope detector (low pass filter) and then use an energy detection VI on the envelope.

  • How do I extract album art from an existing MP3 file?

    I have a folder of MP3s that all came from a rare out-of-print album. The album is so rare, I can't find an image of it anywhere on Google in any countries. I lost the cover artwork for the album, but it's embedded in the MP3 file because it pops up when I play the song or in the preview window. Fine good-resolution picture, too.
    How do I extract the image so I have a separate image file again?

  • I have two pdf docs that I used Acrobat to convert to word docs.  How do I extract one page from one doc to insert into the other doc?

    I have two pdf docs that I converted to Word Docs using Acrobat Pro.  How do I extract one page from the first doc and insert it into the second doc?  When I "select all" it grabs the entire document.  I need to take pages out, put other pages in, and edit some of the text.

    HI djlarp,
    Try triple-clicking in the text that you want to select--it can sometimes be tricky to select text in a converted document. If that doesn't work, it could be that the PDF document was created from a scanned document, and OCR wasn't enabled when you converted the document. (However, OCR is enabled by default when you convert via the ExportPDF website.)
    If you're unable to select text by triple-clicking, let us know. I would be happy to take a closer look at your files.

  • How do I save a portion of a song to my Itunes library?

    how do I save a portion of a song to my Itunes library?

    First put the whole song into the library.  Right-click it, Get Info, go to the Options tab and set the Start and Stop times to include just the portion you want.  OK out.  Now right-click again and choose Create XXX version (where XXX is your preferred format).  This will cause iTunes to create a new file with just the desired portion.
    When you are done, you can either keep or delete the original (full-length) file.

  • How can I extract multine data using a regex? ... driving me nuts!!

    Hi everyone,
    I have a file which I'm interested in extracting information from. Here is a snippet:
    CGCNNNNGTAGTC
    TAGTCNN
    ... my goal is to create a regex which extracts out everything beyond the N (on the first line), along with anything on the next line which is not N.
    As a result, my desired outcome is "GTAGTCTAGTC"
    What I've worked on sofar (for my regex) is:
    Pattern p = Pattern.compile("(N[ATGC].*)\\r\\n[ATGC].*N", Pattern.MULTILINE);I've worked on it for sometime now, and am very interested in advice as-to how I can extract my desired information.
    Thanks once again,

  • How can I  extract non-cumulative cube data to another cubes ?

    Dear Expert,
             I copied inventory cube 0ic_c03 to  a new cube : ZIC_C03  , then I loaded the data of 0ic_c03 to the new cube ZIC_C03 .
    the loading was sucessful, but  the result of  report of the ZIC_C03 was not correct. After looking into the problem, I found out
    the new cube can successfully extract data related with "Goods movement" & "Revaluation", yet the extract of "Open Balance" does not seems to work.
             I have read through Note:375098, in which I could not find (InfoObject 0RECORDTP) in my start routine as mentioned in the solution

  • How do I get a date out of this: 14:35:42.0868394-08:00  ???

    I am receiving an XML document from a person who generates it via a .Net page. This is supposed to be a date/time object.  In his .Net code he uses the object just fine.  I have asked that he translate it to something more standards like {ts '2012-03-01 15:59:45'} but he won't and said I should just figure it out... Nice, huh?
    Does anyone have any idea how I can get a date out of this value:
    14:35:42.0868394-08:00 ???
    I know that the last part (-08:00) refers to Pacific Standard Time.  I am pretty sure that the 14:35:42 represents 2:35:42  PM.  If that is correct, the 0868394 must represent 3/1/2012 (the day I ran the report).
    Please help.

    -08:00 may indeed refer to the time zone. However, if you're expecting the date-time, then he is shortchanging you. What he has sent you is just the time in hours, minutes and seconds, with the seconds expressed in 7 decimal places.
    You could just ignore the decimal places, and extract the time as follows
    <cfset datetime_string = "14:35:42.0868394-08:00">
    <cfset the_time            = listgetat(datetime_string, 1, ".")>
    <cfoutput>#the_time#</cfoutput>

  • How can I extract ? Please help me.........

    First of all, I am very new user to XML and also Java. If my question is nonsense, forgive me, please.
    I would like to test that the string in the node are equal with some string that I want to search. I use DOM API.
    The following code are ok for the node is directly included text CDATA. The program gives the true value. In the following simple code, I tried to search the string "ACTI".
    for example; the node, <LABEL>Problem in Activity</LABEL> , I got "true".
    But I would like to match also the node ,
    <SLOT label="slot" kind="a/o" role="occurs in" class_constraint="Activity" >
    There is also "Activity" string value in class_constraint.
    So how can I extract and match that string data?
    Help me please!
    case Node.CDATA_SECTION_NODE:
    System.out.println(node.getNodeValue());
    if (node.getNodeValue() != null) {
         String aa = (node.getNodeValue().toUpperCase());
         if ( (aa.indexOf("ACTI") >= 0))
         System.out.println("true");
         else
         System.out.println("false");
    <CONCEPT>
    <LABEL>Problem in Activity</LABEL>
    <SLOTS>
    <SLOT label="slot" kind="a/o" role="occurs in" class_constraint="Activity" >
    </SLOT>
    </SLOTS>
    </CONCEPT>

    Thank you very much for your help.
    I do appreciate your reply.
    As I gave my code example in my first post, I parse the XML document and I checked each node whether it is CDATA Node or Document Node, Element Node, and so on.. I used CASE statement.
    If it is CDATA node, I compare Node value and the string I want to search.
    At that time, I faced the problem that you solved already, I didn't know how to compare in attribute node.
    With your suggestion, I can compare now.
    But the problem now is that... when I extract element by tag name, it cannot test node by node.
    So, how can I combine these two code?
    Actually, what I am going to do is that if node is not match (in anywhere) with the string what I want to search starting from parent node to all child nodes, I want to delete that node starting from parent node and it's childs. And I want to create a new XML document by deleating unmatched nodes.
    For example, in the following XML, I would like to delete the second <CONCEPT> node while I search for "Acti" string. There is no "Acti" in the second.
    <CONCEPT>
    <LABEL>Problem in Activity</LABEL>
    <SLOTS>
    <SLOT label="slot" kind="a/o" role="occurs in" class_constraint="Design" >
    <SUB_L label="" def="" role_name="" class_const="Activity" />
    </SLOT>
    <SLOT label="slot" kind="a/o" role="occurs in" class_constraint="Const" >
    <SUB_L class_const="Activity" />
    </SLOT>
    </SLOTS>
    </CONCEPT>
    <CONCEPT>
    <LABEL>Problem in REQ</LABEL>
    <SLOTS>
    <SLOT label="slot" kind="a/o" role="occurs in" class_constraint="Req" >
    <SUB_L class_const="Change" />
    </SLOT>
    </SLOTS>
    </CONCEPT>

  • How can I extract images from Numbers?

    Sounds a bit stupid but how do you extract images from Apples 'Numbers 3' on a Mac?  I have a client that sends images in XLS files, that normally in Word I would Alt Click and 'save as...'
    I was trying to stop using Word but this simple little feature will make all the difference.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Wayne,
    Thank you for your response.  Sadly if you do this it copies in to the MACs clipboard as a snap shot of the image at the dimensions in Numbers.
    Eg.
    An image I've extracted from the document via Excel saved out at it's original dimensions 1024 x 300px, even though it was placed, then scaled down to 300px wide on the sheet.
    Same image copied then pasted in to an image editor (as I couldn't paste into finder) was only 300px wide.
    The feature I need is to be able to save out the original image placed in the Numbers sheet.
    Anyone with ideas on this?

  • How do I extract a CLEAN version of this image ?

    This is a stock photo. (www.BobTaylorProductions.com/psinfo)
    Using Photshop (and I'm really a nubie here) how do I extract a really clean (and by that I mean with VERY clear edges) copy of this.
    I'm taking it into SWISH and trying to make the white background transparent, but I keep getting fuzzy edge artifacts around the CD's .
    How do I make them sharp in Photoshop first or how do I create a nice clean transparent background so that the edges of the CD's are sharp?
    Please be sensitive to the fact that I'm just learning Photoshop

    Bob, which tool are you using to make your selection? For the smaller of the two CDs, it looks like you just need to go to Select>Modify>Contract, then enter in the necessary number of pixels to make the selection smaller (to get rid of the white outer circle around the CD). Also, be sure that you haven't specified any amount of Feathering for the selection. That should keep the selection edges nice and crisp.
