What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
In the absence of that information, I will generalize, tending toward Premiere Elements 11....
a. Right click the Expert workspace Timeline video, select Fade from the pop up menu and then the wanted Fade Audio or Video command.
b. In version 11, you could click on Applied Effects/Applied Effects Palette/Opacity Panel and the shortcut Fades there.
c. You could keyframe the Opacity property in the Applied Effects Palette/Opacity or via the video track content rubberband at the Timeline Level.
Please supply more information for fading in out your video and audio track contents.

the way I do it, or what I think you're trying to do, is go to the last frame you want to fade out, in your case the last frame, go to edit and select 'create still image' or something to that effect, and in the raw footage bank a 5second still image should apear of that frame. then click and drag it, go to the transition section and select the type of fade out you wish to use. I'm so annoyed. I spent my only phone support call to Apple trying to figure out how to get a home made video clip onto my Video iPod and they have no idea unless you are a Mac user. I have successfully put DVDs on the iPod using DVD Decrypter and Nero Recode but if you want to export a small clip, from Adobe Preimere for example, it seems impossible. Can anyone help???? I have exported a clip from Premiere and it says it's a Quicktime file but when I open the file in Quicktime Pro and "export to iPod" it will be rejected after dragging it to the iPod Library. There are programs to help you complete this task if you are a Mac user but I can't find any solution for PC. Any suggestions? I just want to be able to take a segment of video I made on a minidv camcorder and put it on the iPod. I know how to capture and edit it using Premiere but how do I save/export the clip in a file format that Quicktime and/or the iPod will recognize?

Hello.
Fast forwarding and rewinding video on the 6230i is not possible as far as I remember with experience with several Series 40 phones. The proprietary Nokia OS runs a multimedia player incapable of doing this feature. I also have never heard of a certain compatible Java-based media player application which can do this. Maybe the architecture of Series 40 does not support advanced software features allowing this. However if you really want to watch using your phone, you cannot be able to fast forward or rewind.

im moving slowely forward in speeding up making presentations by using the new discovered smart tricks or functions.
So you understand my level of expertise:
This step by step production methode im using now give's me controle without the (full) knowledge of all the (smart)functions in this program.and slowely learning the way arround.
starting a project: a mix of photo's and avi's, starting with manual time line filling with the selected files then the timesaving "Standard crosover on all selected".
second: placing a header with the titel at the front and a ending a the end. (cut al the wrong or bad pieces and extend some photo viewingtime if needed.)
And then adding subtitels/tekst and use some other crosovers to highlight the change of subject or stills to movie.
And at last: placing the background music on "soundtrack": after some fiddeling around ive choose to cut the musictrack between the avi's instead of let the music play all the time and adjust the volume down to zero when a avi is playing.
this have two advantages:
1) the songs can be streched by by cut and jumping to the end of the avi soundtrack. (no loss of music through fading out and still let it play so need less musicsongs.)
2) And the rightclick fade function with the standaard fadingtime => "fade out" and "fade in" is easly to use because of the end track avi and begin track music timeline. (And if needed lowering the fading slope/ extend the fading time by moving the "points" on the audio line)
But; its a lot of work and after the first run through the presentation(or watching on TV) and there is a adjustment needed (fadingtime, volume-changes) you have to adjust every bit of the soundtrack. (keeping the volume "feeling" the same is the difficult part.)
I will read about the Smart Mix function and test it on a other project. see of its fits my kind of using and expertise. (every automatic (smart) function needs understanding of its purpes and limitations and there are a lot of them in premiere
What is in your opinion the most effective way of adjusting volume of audio parts across the hole project so its merged in to one audio/soundlevel?
(and offcourse in the hole way of building the presentation.)

Try forcing iPhoto to load the Library on the External Hard drive by launching it while holding down the Option key. Choose the Library on the External HD, and quit iPhoto, see if iMovie can see the Library with the iPhoto Videos contained inside.

How Adobe Premier Pro's linked video clips are ID in Bridge?

I just finished a FEATURE-FILM in HD comprised of 40 + different Adobe Premier Projects;
Obviously, at the end you end up with many video clips associated to manyAdobe Premier Projects (i.e.; one video clip could be being used by 17 Adobe Premier Projects), and some video clips are associated to none.
So this is the thing: I need to delete 5,000 + useless-not associated video clips, however, to make sure that I am not breaking any link, I need to know that they are, or they are not associated with any of my Adobe Premier Projects.
How does Bridge indicate that a video clip is or is not associated (linked) to an Adobe Premier Project?

How can I record a QuickTime video clip of in-game action?

I've seen video reviews of games from time to time that show actual video clips of a game being played. The ability to record video clips of a game would come in very handy for me, because I'm experiencing a bug in the graphics of Call of Duty 2 that I would like to record and send as a file to Aspyr. However, I'm not sure how to record a movie of the game. (A screenshot is not sufficient.)
Can anyone give me an idea of what software to use to do this? Or do I just have to film my computer screen using my digital camcorder?

It's easy to use, with a lot of customization available. Keynote is unable to do this. Use video or sound editing software to fade out and cut the sound track.
iMovie and audacity are examples of software you can use, or Google for others.

How can I delete a .mpg video clip that has been "processing" for weeks?

Weeks ago I loaded a 380mb .mpg video clip using Express Loader that is still "processing". I want to delete it but cannot because the software produces an error message notifying me that I can't delete it until processing is complete. Obviously the "processing" is stuck. How to extend audio from a video clip over an adjacent still image

I'm in iMovie 11. My project looks like this: video A, transition, still image B, transition, video C. I want the sound from video C to start playing while still image B is on the screen. I tried following the iMovie 11 help instructions for extending a video clip's audio. I click on video C and open the precision editor. From there I can grab video C and move it back so that it overlaps with the still image, but all that happens is the still image still shows up, without sound, and video clip C starts in the middle. The help instructions seem to indicate that I should be able to drag only the audio and make that overlap the still image, but it's not happening. Either the video and audio move together, or nothing moves.
When I try detatching video C from its audio, I just end up with a big mess because later the audio and video don't synch up.
What am I doing wrong?

I am having the same challenge... any tips here would help me out in a big way. I recorded my boss tdoing a training session and now I would like to have the powerpoint slides change as necessary - but I want the audio to remain. I would love to just get the slides to change rather than back to full before bringing up the next slide. Jim, if you come up with anything, let me know. I have VC2 pro.

My question is, could I use OneDrive as an FTP server for this option? If so, how is the settings?

I don't think this is possible. The only options are via the one drive app software or by syncing a folder.

How to enable cookies to watch video clips??

I was sent a link to a website to watch video clips (educational training).
On the registration page it tells me I will need to "enable cookies" in order
to watch the video clips-please adjust your browser settings. It tells me what I have to do but not how.
I've gone to quicktime preferences and everything seems like it's on the correct settings.
Any clues?

There is some confusion here.
Firstly you cannot run Safari 4.0.4 with the operating system you show, 10.4.10, you need to update to 10.4.11 AND install the latest Security updates.
Secondly, when you open Safari Preferences you get the following icons:
General, Appearance, Bookmarks, Tabs, RSS, Autofill, Security, Advanced.
In the small Preferences window, top right-hand corner, do you see a small oval 'button'?
Try clicking on that.
