Hello, someone just gave me their old iMac G5 with isight. I am completely new to the mac world, but this computer seems pretty cool. So I want to use it, but it only has 250 gb on the hard drive (I need more space than that, otherwise I'd just leave it alone). It's the 20" 2GHz version, with 2 gb of ram, and that's all I really know since it's used and I dont have all the information for it :/ I'm not too tech savvy, so obviously I'd have to bring it in to be installed, but I would like to buy the hard drive online if possible, since I'm guessing it'll probably be cheaper. Can anyone give me some information on what I need to buy (I want something with 500 gb or more). I've googled it, but I'm not sure what the results mean to be honest. What type of internal Hard Drive do I need for 2015 Macbook Pro 13"

I want to replace the 256 GB hard drive that came with my 2015 MBP w/ Retina with something much larger like a 1 TB hard drive. Is there a specific type of hard drive I need?
Solid State Hard drives seem to be a ton of money for a 1 TB Drive. is there anything in the 100-300$ range that will have more gigs of space and be an improvement to the hard drive currently in the 2015 Macbook Pro w/ Retina?

You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.

My macbook pro stopped working and I took it to Apple store to find out what was wrong with it. I have been told that the hard disk i snot working anymore.
Since I cannot afford to pay Apple's fees, I was told that I can order it online and pput the disk myself.
Can anyone please tell me what do I need to focus on when buying a hard disk and what would be the best hard disk for my macbook pro.

7200 rpm HDDs will give you extra performance. They are not very expensive

Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)

is it your your router's name?
are you by any chance connected to another wifi router then your own because the other one was open and not password protected?

One way is to remove all apps and then reinstall a few at a time while watching the "Other" memory indicator, but this will cause a loss of any data the apps are storing, like files, high scores, settings, etc.
I don't know of an 'electronic' way of find this out.
