How do I filter to only search for UK websites?
In Explorer, you can go to >Search Tools > Any country, then a drop down allows you to specify any country or just the UK. I waste so much time being directed to US sites but I can't find how to filter in Firefox.

I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extreme (2 TB drive plugged into the USB port). I see the drive on my laptop and I can add and delete files no problem. How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptop's hard drive? How did you move the music to the external drive? What exactly is on the drive? The entire iTunes folder or only music? If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier. Hi, I have iPad 2, when I buy it it has old iOS. Then I update it now it has 5.1.1 iOS and modern firmware 4.12.01. After update my wifi is not working. Only searching for wifi. 3G working well. But wifi olso worked with old iOS. So what can do ? Pls

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Search by message state. To find all flagged, unread messages from people in your VIP list, type “flag unread vip.” You can also search for other message attributes, such as “attachment.”

I have just recieved the Iphone 4s and have updated it etc, i have just started to use the SIRI app which is great but when i want to search for say business etc it says it can only search for these based in the US. Im in the UK and have found this a little frustrating not being able to search for things locally.
Is there a setting i have to change or update.
Can anyone help??Apple haven't yet signed agreements with yell.com and similar local information services here in the UK or in europe. The rumor is that in the UK and others, will get it sometime towards the beginning of the year.

I am trying to follow the Help Documentation item "Using the Filter HUD to Search for Referenced Master" (not sure if there is a way to post a URL to this) and I am not seeing what it is telling me to do.
I am going to Edit > Find and it is telling me to "Click the Filter HUD button beside the search field in the Browser". Is this referring to a browser in the Aperture UI or is this in the Filter HUD display? I am not finding this.
Also, it saying that in the Filter HUD I should "choose File Status from the Add Filter pop-up menu, and select the 'File Status' checkbox." and I am not seeing this either. Does anyone know where this is at?
Lastly, I see that there is a command called File > Locate Referenced Files and when I run this I get a "No Referenced Files in the /current/ selection. I have realized that I don't quite understand whether I am running this search for a specific Project and/or whether I have to make a specific selection in the left hand pane when I run a FILTER HUD or whether this automatically defaults to search the whole database. Does it matter what I have selected in the current Browser View when I run either of these commands?

1. Just copy and paste the URL from the on-line User Manual. Very helpful. Are you on this page?

The instructions specify ONE of the following. Your question indicates to me that you are trying to do both.
3. The User Manual has used the wrong term here. It should say "Choose 'File Status' from the 'Add RULE' pop-up menu."
4. The command -- like all commands? -- works on the currently selected Images. On the same page in the User Manual it says:
You can select a group of images in the Browser and Aperture can show a list of the referenced images within the selection, including information about where the masters are located. {Emphasis mine.}
5. The Aperture workspace is highly configurable. I don't know what you mean by "the left-hand pane". Of what?
6. Yes. Of course it matters. At some point in the 80's when the GUI became standard computers standardized on the "Noun→Verb" syntax: Select object(s), select command(s).

Have just upgraded to version 4 and when I go to Goggle search for a website it shows me a list but will not open any. If I use the bookmarks all of the websites open perfectly. I've closed Firefox down and opened again and a message says "how embarassing" and tells me to restore or start a new session. Have tried both but still will not let me open any websites on the google search page.

You can do this using a meta refresh but the problem is you have to add it to the html file for the page very time you publish changes.
A better way is to create a splash page and upload it to the server outside of the folder produced by iWeb. Example HERE.
The meta refresh is added to the head section of the html file...

I'm working in Illustrator CS 5, but this question really applies to any Adobe product:
How do I get the Help search to limit results to items related to the actual program I'm using, and to the subject I enter in the search bar?
For example, if I type "join" in the search bar and select Illustrator from the dropdown menu, and check "Adobe Reference Only" the first 6 items I get are about javascript and SQL programming. This happens for any help search I do. I assume there's a way to get useful results from the Help search and I'm just missing it.

OK I own the 1st generation Ipod touch and granted I bought it used and its pretty old, but the Wifi doesnt work at all. When I click on the checkmark box it turns on and it looks like its trying to find a connection, but it only tries for one second (literally) and then stops trying to look for a connection. It wont bring up any connection to choose from no matter where I go, it wont find one connection. Please help me this thing is driving me insane. I was told it could be a bad IP address, and that there is a way to get a new one. But How? I already reset it and restored it and nothing seems to fix it. So now I dont know what to do with it now.

I am now faced with this particular scenario, I've got the SQL to search through a field to find text within the field, but I have to know what it is before it can look for it.
What I have to do is this:
Search through a field, for a pattern, and I won't know what the data is I am looking for. Can this be done in SQL?
For instance, Here is my SQL this far, I was helped allot in order to get to this point.

When you execute the above SQL, you have to pass in a value. What I really need is to alter the above SQL, to make it search for a pattern that exist's within the text of the field itself.
Like for instance, lets say the pattern I am looking for is this" xx-xxxxx-xxxx" and it's somewhere in a field.
I need to alter this SQL to take this pattern and search through all the schemas and tables to look for this pattern match.
Can be done?When you use something dynamically within a function or procedure, roles do not apply and privileges must be granted directly. So, you need to grant select on dba_tab_cols directly. If you want to do pattern matching then you should use regular expressions. The following example grants the proper privileges and uses regexp_instr to find all values containing the pattern xxx-xxxx-xxxx, where /S is used for any non-space character. I limited the tables in order to save time and output for the test, but you can eliminate that where clause.
