I have a lot of these because I use IMAP for my mail but there's no point in keeping these messages as they were deleted from the server a long time ago.

I am not sure what a Smart Mailbox would have to offer with respect to this?
However, the problem is likely not that the message has been deleted from the server, but that Mail 2.0 has problems with some IMAP servers at displaying some messages.
I am hopeful, but cannot assure anyone, that a fix is being worked on for this, and perhaps will be available sometime in the future.
If you were to access with a different version of Mail, such as 1.3.11, or another mail client, you might access these messages. Therefore, I would not be quick to try and eliminate them.

All messages sent but still says 'sending'

Hi everybody,
I'm facing an annoying issue with one Message/iMessage conversation I have on my iPhone... So here is the deal. I have sent a few iMessages to a person but some of them have been sent as SMS text messages, probably because of bad network. Anyway, all of them have been read (that is what the read receipts account) and yet the line on the top of the screen says 'Sending...' ! But there is nothing to send anymore!
I've already tried quitting the app and turning my phone off/on and since I would like to keep that conversation, I'm not really keen on deleating it... Does any of you know how to solve this?

Never mind, I solved the issue myself! Thought perhaps sharing would help others that would be have facing the same thing... So here is what I did: I deleted the messages that had been sent as SMS text messages (which were indeed sent and recieved) but my iPhone did not seem to agree with that...
Everything is fine and sent now .

When I look at some emails on my phone, I can see from the title that I don't need to read the email so I delete it without opening it. When I go to my Macbook Pro and open mail, the number of unread messages in my Trash shows next to the name. It drives me nuts. Can I just set a rule to mark all messages sent to trash as read? If that isn't possible, I'd take just making the number not show beside the Trash folder.

Just in the case that I actually do need to go back to them for some reason. I have some OCD tendencies which is also why the number beside the folder drives me nuts.

There is no built in way to do this in iOS. If this trick doesn't work for you, then it can't be done.

Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist (it may take some time to count the tracks that are to be dropped). Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist.
Optional: It depends a bit on why things aren't where iTunes expects to find them but if they are in sensible Artist & Album folders in some common location then my FindTracks script should be able to reconnect them to iTunes. FindTracks uses some fuzzy matching routines and searches for multiple potential locations. For more details see this thread. Once you have repaired the tracks that can be found you can drag the contents of the Lost playlist into Found which will update things.
Or, you can simply delete all the tracks in the Lost playlist with Ctrl-A to select them and then Shift-Delete to delete.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your question. All images are in your Library and only those you specifically select from that Library would be in an Album. What platform are you using? Revel Mac, Elements, web browser, etc?

Click on the inbox then Edit>Select All (if you are using Mail, if not you'll have to tell us which mail program you use) repeat in other mailboxes as needed.

While you can delete multiple messages within a conversation thread (tap and hold a message bubble, then click more; you'll see it), there's no way to delete more than one conversation thread at once. You have to slide each thread and then tap delete.
