How do I find and erase any spy software uploaded on to my iphone 4?

How do I find and erase any spy software that has been uploaded on to my iphone 4 without my knowledge ?

There is no such thing as spy software that can be installed without user knowledge unless you hacked (jailbroke) your phone which makes it extremely unsecure. Otherwise, no "spy software."

  • Why do I have 200 GB of "backup" on my main hard drive?  Any how can I find and erase them?

    I have a MBP that was recently subjected to some liquid damage and taken in for repair.  While it was being repaired, I purchased a second MBP.  My newest MBP is now my personal laptop, and I'm converting the old one over to a work laptop.  In that process, I've upgraded to Lion, and now I'm trying to free up as much hard drive space as possible.  I have already deleted all of the music, photos and videos from the hard drive.  However, when I go to see how much free space I have left, it shows that I have over 200 GB of "backups" on my main hard drive.
    I have never created any backups on this drive.  I only used an external HD to do Time Machine backups.  How can I locate these backups and delete them in order to free up the hard drive space?

    When you open FINDER, is there a folder titled 'backups?  If not, have to tried 'search' or 'spotlight' to locate 'backups?  By any chance is your disc partitioned?
    You state that you have deleted all music, photos and videos from this drive.  The graphic that you included in your query shows that these are still on the disc.
    The simplest way of achieving your desired result is to open Disk Utility and erase all user data.  However that does not tell us what 'backups' is.  Pure speculation on my part, but if the disc is partitioned, maybe that is how it is represented on the graphic.
    Click on the HDD on your desk top using Command 'I' and see if available space correlates with the the above graphic.  If not this suggest a software issue.
    If it does, you have to locate 'backups'.  As alluded to previously, try SEARCH and SPOTLIGHT.  200GB is hard to hide.  Another technique is to open finder and press COMMAND 'J'.  Click on 'size' and 'calculate all sizes'.  If one of those files is over 200 GB, you have located your culprit.
    Better yet wait for someone who knows exactly what the problem is and will give a simple answer.  I admit I'm grasping at straws here, but maybe I've at least given a bit of a starting point.  Good luck.
    Ciao.

  • How do I find and erase duplicated thumbnails in Aperture?

    I currently use Aperture 3.  Prior to using Aperture 3 I was using Iphoto and Iphoto unfortunately managed to duplicate photos by creating thumbnails 2 and even 3 or 4 times over.  This happened a couple of years ago and thus I cannot revert to a prior library.  For the past few years I was hoping apple would come up with a solution to this glitch.  Perhaps a simple software update, an app, etc.  Nothing yet.
    Anyways, is there a way to find and delete these duplicated thumbnails in a time effective fashion?  I have around 38,000 photos to sort through.  I have used Duplicate Annihilator and it does not recognize the duplicated thumbnails as duplicates.  I think this is due to their much smaller size.  Also, what is the proper way of deleting the thumbnail duplicate?  Do I delete it using just the "Delete Version" option orr do I delete the "Delete Master Image and All Versions" because I am not sure what is deemed appropriate and safe.
    Finally, would it be easier to just purchase a cheap PC and have the programs available on a PC sort out this issue?  It has been a long time and I have yet to discover that apple has found a suitable solution to this issue.

    Ernie,
    I really appreciate the response.  I followed your directions and here is the info requested: 38,578 versions and 38,323 masters.
    I expect around 14,000 true master copies and the remaining masters to be duplicate thumbnails.  I arrived at this number and the conclusion that there are many duplicate thumbnails based on the customer service of Duplicate Annihilator.  After sending Brattoo (Duplicate Annihilator) some sample duplicates they responded with:
    thank you for your email and sample images. You have a case of thumbnails here.
    Thumbnails are low resolution photos used internally by iPhoto to speed up performance when growing the photos. However, sometimes when importing older libraries into new ones or when upgrading iPhoto those internal low resolution photos are imported as regular photos and all of a sudden your iPhoto Library is flooded with low resolution photos.
    Locating thumbnail images in Aperture can be achieved using standard Aperture features. Use the Aperture search box as shown in this screenshot:
    I searched out and found around 24,000 photos to be fit the size of internal low resolution photos aka thumbnails.  Then I sorted the entire photo library by file name then size and I could see what I believe is the original master version photos (average size around 1.5 mbs or so) and then following each of what I think are the original master photos is a number of duplicates photos (average size around 40kbs).  Roughly one to two small size duplicates of the original master version photo.
    Therefore, I am assuming in order to get rid of duplicates I need to eliminate these small version thumbnail sized images.  I guess I will be forced to go through the whole library of 38,000 photos manually deleting each of the thumbnail duplicates.

  • HT4859 How do I find and access the photos that are bumped from my iphone to the icloud?

    The photos on my iphone keep disappearing, I think because of the storage limits on the phone.  My understanding was they were being stored "on the cloud," but I can't figure out how to find them.  I have it installed on my iphone 4 and on my PC.  Please tell me they aren't gone forever!  Thanks.

    Re-sync your device to iTunes and uncheck Sync under Photos.

    Not necessarily. I'd suggest downloading and installing the "combo" update. That's a combination (thus the clever name) of all the updates to Leopard since it was first released, so installing it should fix anything that's gone wrong since then, such as with one of the normal "point" updates. Info and download available at: http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate Be sure to do a +Repair Permissions+ via Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder) afterwards.

  • How to find and replace any string between " "

    Hi everyone,
    Here my sample
    String szTest;
    szTest = "Yellow banana";
    szTest = "Blue monkey";
    szTest = "Red mango";
    szTest is only needed when it's in testing progress. Now I want to put all of that in the /*comment*/ so the released program won't run those code any more (but still keep szTest so I can use it for future develop testing).
    So Here what I want after using the Find and Replace Box:
    //String szTest; //Manual
    /*szTest = "Yellow banana";*/ //use find and replace
    /*szTest = "Blue monkey";*/ //use find and replace
    /*szTest = "Red mango";*/ //use find and replace
    I think I can do this with Regular expressions or Wildcards. But I don't know how to find and replace any string between " and ".
    Find: szTest = " ??Any string?? ";
    Replace with: /*szTest = " ??Any string?? ";*/
    Thanks for reading.

    Hi Nathan.j.Smith,
    Based on your issue, I suggest you can try the Joel's suggestion check your issue again. In addition, I find a MSDN document about how to use the Regex.Replace Method to match a regular expression pattern with a specified replacement string,
    maybe you will get some useful message.
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/xwewhkd1(v=vs.110).aspx
    If the above suggestion still could not provide you, could you please tell me what language you use to create the program for finding and replace any string using regular expression so that we will find the correct programming develop forum to support this
    issue?

    Hi,
    I agree with Dave. We can try using
    chkdsk utility to check the file system and file system metadata of a volume for logical and physical errors.
    Regarding
    chkdsk, the following article can be referred to for more information.

  • How do I find and delete phantom email messages?

    The icon says I have five new messages (up from one a few weeks ago), but I can't find them in any of the folders (I have looked on both phone and computer). I have also changed my settings to erase deleted messages in 24 hours, but the phantom messages still seem to exist. How do I find and delete them.

    Under the file tab in iTunes, select Display Duplicates. From there you can delete them as well.

  • How do I find and download my pictures and movies that were saved in icloud and itunes library?

    How do I find and download my pictures that were saved to itunes and icloud in my itunes match? I think that I lost my pictures and I really do need them.

    Your pictures are not saved in iTunes Match; that is a music service. If you restore your device from a backup saved in iCloud, you will get pictures back, but any pictures taken since the backup will be lost, so you will want to import those to your computer first.

  • How do I find and save the background music file of my Flash site?

    I see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz.  When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as .\flash\sound\muz.wav  I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file.  I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found.  Does anyone know how I can find and save this file?  Can the symbol somehow be exported and the sound file be extracted that way?

    I copied and pasted the symbol into an empty .fla file.  This new .fla file is just 1 frame.  Can you tell me what you mean by "spreading" it along the timeline?  When I tried exporting it to a .wav file (as just 1 frame in timeline), I only hear a fraction of a fraction of the first note of the music in the generated .wav file.  The music is heard fine in its entirety when previewing the .fla file (F12).
    By the way, in the symbol's properties, there is an option to "Export for ActionScript" and an option to "Export for runtime sharing".  Do you think any of these would work?

  • How can I check and change the size of photo or doc in iPhone or any other app

    How can I check and change the size of photo or doc in iPhone or any other app

    You would need software form a third party to have this option.  The free software that comes with the 8600 doesn't have an option for that. Vuescan is the only software I could find that says it works with your pritner and has a descreen option.  You have to purchase it, but it will give you more advanced options than the software that came with the printer.

  • How do I find and download a tune by its title?

    I want to make a list of my music. How do I find and download tunes by their title?

    Can you provide some more detail of what you want to achieve?  There are ways to:
    print a listing of everything in your iTunes library
    export data form your library in a form that can be brought into a spreadsheet (Excel) or database (Access amongst others) for further manipulation
    find songs in the iTunes Store based on what's already in your library
    search your library for specific songs
    search the iTunes Store (or other online retail sources) for specific songs
    Knowing which (if any) of these you want to do would help to provide guidance.
