How do I find IP address of Network WiFi Camera?

I bought a wireless network camera to provide remote viewing of a part of my property. I set it up quickly using my AEBS and had no problem viewing the video on my local network (10.0.1.X addresses).
I'd like to use the camera on the internet. I access the net via a WiFi "hotspot" that covers my house/property. It seems if I could only figure out what IP address my ISP assigns to my netcam, I could assign it to my dynamic dns provider and all would be well -- but I can't figure out how to do this.
Any suggestions?
I've set up the camera to log in, and then pinged from xxx.xxx.xxx.10 to 140 on my ISP address pool, but can't get my webcam webserver to show up.
Thanks

Thanks. You've given me a better synopsis than what I've found browsing the web. But on my camera I can configure it with the login creditials for my PPPoE service, so I just assumed it would authenticate with the remote wireless access point and get an IP like my computer does.
The camera is a TRENDnet TV-IP200W, which has a built in web server, as you say. It also has accomodation for the dynamic DNS service in the system configuration page on the camera "system" page. But, as I say, after I set all that up, I can't ever get back to the camera to tell if it really took or not.
I resort to plugging into the Ethernet port and the default IP address which gets me right in...I can reset the camera IP to something other than the default and get to it using my ethernet or local wireless -- so it seems to get the word on DHCP assignment.
Regarding port forwarding. Not sure how to deal with this. If I had an idea how to make my AEBS act as a bridge or remote base for the WiFi, things would go more smoothly, but I've not figured that one out in a couple of years.
This leaves me with a camera on a 10.0.1.X network needing to pass images/video to a network with a 66.84.90.XXX address scheme. The overlapping part being either my imac, the camera, or my AEBS if I could work that magic.
Appreciate your brain cell application thus far.

  • How do i find a wi-fi network for my iphone

how do i find a wi-fi network for my iphone?  Message keeps coming up "incorrect wi-fi password (do not know this password) Enter the password for "R7443"?
Seems to me the wi-fi is working as i can get on internet and get email - but i have no idea what password they are looking for.

Where are you looking for a wi-fi network for your iPhone? Home , office, friends?
The owner of wi-fi R7443 has the password. Ask them for it if you know them. If you don't know them or know who owns wi-fi R7443 then you have no reason to use it.
Most people have their own wi-fi network at their home and use it for their laptops and phones.

  • How do i find who is using my wifi?

I had a day this month where almost 28gb was used of my download and can't epxlain it, how do i find out who uses my wifi?

You cannot see that readily from your Mac, but you should be able to tell by logging into your wifi router.  It likely uses a web page for administration, and from that, you should be able to find a list of all connected devices.  To see actual activity, you may need to access or enable logging, if your router supports it.
Check your router's manual for how to access those sorts of admin features.

  • How do I find out my ISP Network Login ID, is it a...

    Hello,
Can anyone guide me to how I can find my ISP network log-in Id and password.
I am being loaned a company laptop and router which they will configure for me.
I have been asked for the above information.

BT usually tell you to use the name on the account ie: [email protected]
You don't need a password but some routers insist on one, in which case BT is usually used.
Here's the answer from the BT help section.
BT Broadband helpdesks cannot provide support for equipment you have purchased from other suppliers.
If you are having problems with equipment purchased from another supplier, please consult the manual or user guide supplied with the equipment or contact the vendor for advice.
Hints on configuring a non-BT router
You need to ensure that your router is configured to work on ADSL lines in the UK. Within your router's settings you will need to input a telephone number or VPI/VCI standard. In both cases you should check that this is set to 0,38. Most ADSL routers supplied for sale in the UK will be pre-set to this.
You also require your BT Broadband username. This is made up of [email protected] where 'your' equals your first name and 'name' equals your surname, e.g. [email protected] BT Broadband does not require that you enter a password to connect, but some routers won't connect to the Internet without a password. If this is the case, enter the word BT.

How do I find previous, or old, email addresses that are using an iPod to send /receive mail?

Is there a way to find my Apple ID Name if I can't remember it?
Yes. Visit My Apple ID and click "Find out." See How to find your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
Otherwise I really do not understand your question. Anyone who knows the password associated with an email address can setup a device/log in on webmail and send and receive email for that account.

  • How do I find IP address of camera?

I'm trying to find the IP address of a Panasonic webcam (BL-C131) that's on my network. While setting it up at one point, I apparently managed to change it's address, and now the camera doesn't appear on the network. I have its MAC address from a label on the camera itself. Can I somehow use that to locate the IP address? I've tried using Network Utility and IP Scanner, and neither show this camera. I've done the search with it connected to my router, as well as directly to the ethernet port on my PB. What am I missing? Thanks for your help.

Do you know the subnet the camera is in? Knowing this will help but you can still get around without it.
If you know the subnet (e.g. 192.168.0.x/255.255.255.0) then:
    1) connect the camera directly to your Mac's ethernet port.
    2) Use System Preferences -> Network to configure your ethernet port with an address in the same network (e.g. 192.168.0.1)
    3) Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and run: ping 192.168.0.255
The address you ping is the broadcast address of the network, so adjust if you're not using 192.168.0.x.
What should happen is you get a reply from each device on the network. Since you only have two devices (the Mac and the camera) it should be pretty easy to work out the camera's address.
If you don't know the subnet, you can also try pinging 255.255.255.255
This is the universal broadcast address, but not everything will respond to it.
Finally, if that doesn't work you can try a tcpdump to identify traffic on the network, but it'll take a little decoding. If you configure your ethernet port as 192.168.0.1 then the following command in Terminal.app will show any traffic from any other device on the network:
    sudo tcpump -i en0 not host 192.168.0.1
You should be able to see broadcast traffic such as ARP from the camera, from which you can determine its IP address.

  • How to create another email address for my Wife?

I might be over thinking this but how do I create another email address for my wife? I can't find where to do that? I found the alias email but not just a regular email. Please help someone:)
    Thanks so much,
    Scott

    Hello Scott.
If this is in reference to creating a .Mac email only account for your wife, you don't so this via the Mail program. This is done via webmail access for your .Mac account preferences.
An .Mac account alias is free but an alias address cannot be accessed as a separate account because an alias isn't an account.
A .Mac email only account cost $10 per year and can be accessed as separate account.

  • How do I find out what my network key aka wpa key?

I'm trying to connect my Dell laptop via Wifi at home and the connection is asking for the Network Key aka WEP/WPA key? Any clue on how to get that? Airport Utility Security settings?

If this is in your own home then wire a computer to the wireless router, logon to the router using the router username and password, go to the wireless settings and take a look at the key.
If this is on a Apple Airport type router then you use the Airport utility program on your notebook that is Wired to the Airport to get the key. You can downlaod the Airport utility for Windows from the Apple website. If you wire the notebook to the airport you should be able to get online and download it.
P.S. How much you want to bet there won't be a reply to this.
