How do i find music on iphone that is not from the cloud

The list of songs on my iphone is endless, but most of that music is still in the cloud.   Is there a way to get the phone to display only the music that is actually physically downloaded onto my phone already?  TIA

It sounds like she may be using a different account then the one that was used to purchase 10.8
If you cannot locate the purchase, contact the iTunes Store so they can help you figure out which account it's attached to.

  • How do I re-download a song that i hid from the cloud?

    So here's the story:
My wife downloaded some songs from the store directly to her iphone 5, and while they played on our pc just fine, they wouldnt play on her phone. To try and remedy this, I deleted the songs from itunes library, sync'd her phone to remove them from her phones library, then re-downloaded direct to her phone. This worked, except for one, and here's why:
For this one song, I selected "hide from the cloud" when deleting, not knowing the trouble it would cause. When I went to re-download, it doesnt show up in the previous purchases tab. In itunes, it says all purchased songs have been downloaded. When I go to that song in the store to re-buy, it says it has been purchased, and will not let me re-download from there, nor will it let me re-buy it.
This seems like an obvious and substantial glitch in the design. How do I remedy this situation?

You will need to unhide it first : hiding and unhiding.
If you want to do it directly on the phone then on iOS 6 unhiding doesn't work properly - you should be able to see what is hidden and re-download them from that 'hidden' screen, but you can't unhide them so that they re-show in the Purchased tab.

  • I downloaded IOS8.1 and Itunes 12.01.26, now i can not add any music to my iphone that isn't in the cloud.

I've restarted everything, resigned in and out of everything and re downloaded iTunes,  ITunes won't see any music that is currently on my iPhone 5c  and it will not let me put any music on my IPhone that isn't in the cloud.

Are you trying to sync with a different computer?
The iphone will sync with one computer.  Syncing to another will erase the current content.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception is itunes purchases.  File>Transfer Purchases

I have older version of itunes on Windows Vista, when i check for updates it states it cannot connect to itunes update server even though i am connected to the internet, i have an iphone that has songs in the cloud and i want to add them to my library?

Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

  • How do I recover deleted notes from the cloud?

How do I recover deleted notes from the cloud?

Please note that these instructions (suggestions) have not yet been confirmed to work. I have however provided similar instructions for recovering contacts, calendars etc, which have.
The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs.
Recovering your notes is quite time consuming, you may wish not to save all your notes to save some time, if they are not of importance.
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Open the 'Notes' app, and open your first note (assuming your deleted notes have now been restored).
Select the share option at the foot of the screen (rectangle with arrow) and choose mail.
Send the email to yourself (If they won't send, save them to draft)
Repeat steps 7 & 8, until you have copied all the notes you wish to save to email.
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and make sure 'Notes' syncing is enabled.
Open the 'Notes' app, check that iCloud notes have reverted to how they were before starting the restore.
Open the 'Mail' app and open the first email you sent yourself and copy the text you want in the note.
Open the 'Notes' app and create a new note in the iCloud, paste the text you copied.
Go to iCloud.com on a computer and check that the note has synced to iCloud.
Repeat steps 12, 13 & 14 until you have recovered all your notes.
May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.

How do I get music onto my iPhone without having to download it from the Cloud? My iPhone gives the error "sync will resume when "computer" is available" on the final step of synching. The computer says "waiting for changes to be applied" but the phone doesn't have the two little sync arrows anymore. Seems it will stay like that for hours if I don't cancel it. I've tried syncing the songs with the cord & without the cord; using only purchased music or only a few songs. I've restarted both devices & both are updated with the latest software. My phone says it hasn't synced in 5 months, even though I've tried. WiFi is working. I've tried checking and unchecking the box in iTunes. I've turned Windows Firewall on/off. Ran the diagnostics in iTunes. Nothing seems to work. Help!

    Hello Megurine Lockhart,
I would recommend re syncing the music to the phone from iTunes by unchecking the sync music checkbox in iTunes, sync, then re check it and sync again.
For reference this is what I mean:
    Syncing music
Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
Select your your iPod in the Devices section on the left side of the iTunes window.
In the main iTunes browser window, select Music.
Select the option to Sync Music. You may also select "Include Music videos" if you would like to sync Music videos to a device.
From: iTunes: Syncing media content to iPod
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1351
The article references an iPod but its the same for an iPhone.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • HT5085 I bought music on my iPhone and cannot download from the cloud to my macbook pro.

I have done this in the past with no problem. My computer is a Macbook Pro and is activated for my itunes account. I manually search or the songs Ive bought on my iphone and can see it says purchased but its grey and not clickable. I dont understand why I cannot download them from the cloud into my computer.

What you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage
Or if you want music that you buy on your phone to automatically download on your phone then you can use automatic downloads : Store tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) - that will only apply to new purchases made after you turn it 'on'

  • How do you delete songs on iTune that are NOT on the library?

I got a new computer few days ago, and I downloaded iTune on my new computer today.
I want to delete all my songs that are in my iPod Touch now, and want to buy other songs.
I don't have any songs in my library at the moment, since there's no song in my new computer now.
So I want to delete songs, but since I don't have any of those songs in the library, I can't delete them. (I can't delete them since they are not on the library.)
Are there any ways I can delete songs that are NOT on the library?

You don't want to keep the songs that are on your iPod touch, in your library?
You can keep them in your library and not put them on the touch.
Then you can purchase other songs and put those on the touch.

  • Where do you find your license key for software that I get from the cloud?

I am trying to upload some presets for lr 5 and I can't without the license key. Before when you bought tangible product this key would be on the back. However since I got it from the cloud, i don't know where to find it. Any help

You mean, LR is asking for it's own licence # when you try to upload some presets?
    It sounds strange to me...
Open LR, then from the software preferences, go to the "Presets" tab and click on the "Show Lightroom Presets folder...".
Copy and paste your preset there and restart LR... it should be do it.
    Alessandro.

  • Iphone 5s wont restore from the cloud

I just purchased an iphone 5s and am trying to restore from the cloud. I think my contacts are fine but i only get about half of my photos... Why? Please help...

Your Mac would need to be running OS X 10.7.5 or higher, and you had iPhoto '11 9.2.2 or higher or Aperture 3.2.3 or higher in order to see your photo stream.  If you went to System Preferences>iCloud, signed into your account and checked Photos, you would be able to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days (older photos are no longer in iCloud).
I guess I don't know why you would get a message that there isn't enough room to back up your phone if you were restoring a backup.  As a long shot, you could try restoring the backup again using the approach posted by ezjules here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589 (open the camera roll after the phone restarts during the backup and keep it open until the backup completes).  It seems to have worked for some people.  Otherwise, you can call Apple support for free if your phone is less than 90 days old: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/.  You'll need your serial number to set up the call, which you can find in Settings>General>About.

  • Can't open any apps on my mac book pro that i downloaded from the cloud

can't open any apps in i-tunes on my mac book pro that i downloaded from the cloud

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • How to recover deleated notes from the cloud and the ipad?

I have deleated some Notes files from the cloud. How can i reover them?

Do you have an iTunes backup on your computer?  Do you have an iCloud backup you can restore from that was made prior to deleting things?
Without a backup of some kind, somewhere, there is no way to recover them.

  • Syncing music but still have to download from the cloud?

I have purchased and downloaded music to my macbook.  After syncing my computer and iphone via usb, the songs show up on my phone as in the cloud.  Is there anyway to add/sync these songs to my iphone without having to download from the cloud?  I have very spotty Wi-Fi (songs can't download) and I don't want to use cellular data.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • How do I find music and movies that didn't copy over after restoring Ipod?

I restored my ipod and all of my movies and music didn't copy back over. (Most did.) How do I find the ones that didn't?  When I check Itunes it showed them in the cloud before and now they are not even showing up in Itunes.  What are we doing wrong?

    Hello Cindy,
It sounds like not all your purchases transferred to your computer before your restored your iPod touch.  I found an article with some steps to download your past iTunes purchases.  I recommend following the steps in the section titled "Apps, Books, Music, Movies, or TV shows on a computer" in the following article:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.
