This, of course, presumes that your iPad is powered and has access to the Internet and that you previously enabled the "Find my..." function.

In addition to the link Paulcb sent to you, you can find the model of your iPad on the back of the iPad at the bottom in the small print and it will start with an A.
If it doesn't have any camera on the front then it will be and iPad 1.

  • How do I find my Device ID?

How do I find my Device iD on a MacbookAir? I DO have my serial number but I believe the Device ID is different, isn't it?
A device is showing up in my router that has a Device ID that I do not recognize.
Whereas my Ipad mini shows up as an Ipad and apple TV shows up as Apple TV, my Macbook Air MIGHT be  showing as a 12 digit string, but I would like to confirm that is is MY string!.
    Anyone?........

It may be showing your MAC (media access control) address. To find it on your MacBook Air, click the apple on the left of the menu bar, about this mac, more info, system report, then on the left side, network and wi-fi.

De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.

Recently, Apple make people difficult to get Genius Bar appointments.  Change the format and very frustrating.
Looked into communities help, some gentleman call Frank suggested, if you the computer has IOS Device, you can Genius Bar appointment directly.  I don't know how to get the IOS Device.  If you anyone have idea regard this, it is great help to me.
    Thanks.  Looking forward reply.

iPhone, iPod touch or iPad are iOS devices, if you want one, you have to buy one. You can also make an appointment online. It's not too difficult; just select your product, select what issue you're having, and select "Take in for service" or "Visit the Genius Bar." If you don't see one of those, then go back and select a different issue. Get started at http://apple.com/retail/geniusbar.

  • How can I find a device I can't see?

    Hi Guys,
I bought a cheap little digital video camera ($50 - I can't afford an expensive one). It doesn't support Mac so I have to come to you for help.
I made some videos and uploaded them to iPhoto. There were some I didn't like so I deleted them, but I accidentally deleted the ones I wanted to keep. Since I had selected the option to keep the originals, they are still on the SD card on the video camera, but I can't import them because the camera doesn't show up as a device in iPhoto or Finder.
When I take the SD card out of the camera and them put it back in, it does appear as a device in iPhoto, but no photos or videos appear (I think that's because I'd already imported them?).
I tried putting the USB cable in a different slot, and taking the batteries out of the camera & replacing them, but I can't figure out how to make the device appear. Is it possible? Why can't I see the deleted videos in iPhoto?
    Thanks,
    Lizzy

Have you looked in the Trash in iPhoto? To make it more difficult to delete photos by accident, iPhoto keeps a separate Trash, shown in the iPhoto window, and doesn't delete photos until you explicitly tell iPhoto to empty the trash. So it's possible the photos are still there. Take a look in the Trash and see; if they're there, just drag them back to Photos or click on the photo, go to the Photos menu, and select select the photo, and then choose Restore to Photo Library.
    Good luck.

  • How can I find a device by its name on iCloud?

I need some help! I'm trying to find my wife's iPad using iCloud. Neither of our accounts are signed in to it right now, so how can I search for it by device name?

If the device is not connected to WiFi, you can't find it. If it is, go to your iCloud.com account on a computer or use the Find My iPhone app on any iOS device and log in and look for it.
You have to be signed in to find your own devices.

  • How do I find the device for my iPad 2? When I found the app, it stated that it worked with iPhone, iPod, and iPad2.

I downloaded the iPad2 app for Firefox, have gone into my MacBook, opened it up, set the preference, and then it wanted the numbers for the device. Where do I find the numbers?
Then I found no iPad2 listed. The information on the App Store stated that it definitely was available for iPad2, but no luck syncing it.
I do have the bluetooth up and running, but will that serve to sync? Should I go ahead and run a normal sync.

Whow what a shame, I thought this iPad was going to be terrific.  Guess I'll get out my trusty Cannon from now on, lots less hassle.
    Thank you for the reply!

  • HT1420 How do I find what devices are registered with iTunes currently?

Hi!  I received an alert that some of my apps are not registered with my newer computer.  How do I determine what is authorised and registered, and what's not?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Tied in what way. If you are referring to authorised computers, there isn't a way to see a list. If you are referring to computers and devices associated with your account, you can see a list in your iTunes account settings on your computer.

  • HT5085 how can i find my device

please help me find my iPod touch

Unless you had Find My iPod enabled on it then there isn't any way to locate it. If you did have it enabled then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPod disabled on it.
If you think that it was stolen then you should report it to the police. You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

  • Synching- How do I find the Device button?

I have upgraded iTunes, after it told me to. There is no device button on show when I plug in my iPhone 5. I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes. I use Windows 8. The Apple help doesn't help- I've hidden the sidebar. Can anyone help, please?

Try Andrei Cerbu's post here or see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, forcing a driver update.
Also, turn on the side bar with CTRL+S...
