How do i find my earlier question about firefox?

posed a question and can't find it back. The question was: installed ff 4, and everytime after opening the computer I get an update notification regarding ff 4. However - the update fails to connect with the mozilla server. Keeps on trying eternally. Happens every day anew.

  • How do I find my earlier questions about PSE organiser?

    I have asked a couple of questions about Pse13 ,one specifically deleting duplicates from organiser. If no one answers the question and I do not receive an email, what can I do but keep asking? I paid good money for this new version but there is no chat support and they just refer you to the forums. If no one answers the question then I might as well go back to Pacasa.
    Any comments from Adobe?
    Col.

    Hi,
    This is a user to user forum so we are just users like yourself - Adobe staff do sometimes visit and add comments.
    To se your own questions, log in to the forum and click on the down arrow next to your avatar on the top row. From the drop down, select Activities and Inbox and that should bring up a list of the questions you asked.
    It can be worthwhile bookmarking the page so that you can quickly go to it later.
    Hope that helps.

      3. Then choose iTunes Store;

      5. Now choose iTunes Store Security and answer the bullet questions, then click
          Continue;
      6. Sign in with your Apple ID and press Continue;
      7. Under Contact Options fill out the information and advise iTunes that you would
          like your security/challenge questions reset;
      8. Click Send/Continue.
    You should get a response within 24 hours by email.
    In the event you are unsuccessful then contact AppleCare - Contacting Apple for support and service.
    Another user had success doing the following:
    I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
          tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
          "done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
          Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
          should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
          selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
          should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
    Good Luck friends!

  • My earlier question re Firefox

    I have not used this site before and its late in New Zealand.... i don't know the correct way to add to my earlier question about no admin rights to update F Fox.  I have had a look at other replies on the site and found the reason, it is because "allow user to administrate this computer" is dimmed and disabled. Nothing i do can enable it. I am able to undo the lock and i click on my account but nothing activates the key i need to be able to administer this computer so this is actually my question.. how do i overcome this important problem?

    Back again, on the Leopard this time and has been interesting dvelopments. Things seem sorted for now at least. I had downloaded the update to FF before but went through all that "haven't got the rights" stuff, i fiddled around with access rights,gave up, turned off, next morning found i now had ability to do update. I don't know what fixed it. Then didn't use computer, tired of the problems,then yesterday it flashed up that an update was waiting so i tried to download and ran into repeat of the no rights issue.
    Strangely it seemed there was sometimes 2 Firefoxes, one would open with home page but other kept opening with Mozilla telling me i was running 3.6.28 and would never open with home page.Sometimes there were 2 icons, sometimes one.
    The file Info told me i had 3.6.28 but About Firefox told me i had version 3.6.24.
    This morning there was a question mark in the dock which said Firefox when put cursor on it, i had trashed a Firefox icon last night.   Anyway i recalled the trashed one back again and started to look at both and trashed the question mark, clicked on the remaining FF icon and it opened with my home page and all details show i have the updated version.   So i don't know. The test will be when i empty trash and see if it will dump one FF but leave the other one.
    Your answers were extremely helpful as to teaching me things so i will have them printed for future reference.
    On a different point it took nearly 10 minutes from clicking the link in the email to get signed in to Apple and to be able to write a reply to you, this can't be right? The 10.4 machine ( all eMacs PowerPC) does it much more quickly and yet it is slowish.
    The previous owner has installed Microsoft Messenger, Entourage, Power Point, Excel amd MS Word for me, the only other addition is iPhoto which i wanted. Has the computer got too much on it? And which would be the best MS programmes to keep. I don't use them but would like a programme that can open documents that the Mac can't.
    Thank you for everything and especially for your patience.

  • How do I find settings or security in Firefox 5? There is not a place that is on the top to click on! It went away when I changed my firefox to 5.0

    I am not sure what you call the top. A toolbar I guess. Anyway it is not there now that I have Firefox 5.0 with information like Settings, security or privacy so I can change bookmarks or cache etc. HOW DO I FIND IT?
    thank you

    Orange Firefox button>Options>Options>Security, Privacy etc.
    If the Firefox button isn't showing - right click on a toolbar space and uncheck the Menu Bar, this will reveal the Firefox button and you can toggle from one to the other.
    Or, in the Menu Bar>Tools>Options.

  • I uninstalled firefox due to incompatabilty issues with my work program. I need to reinstall 5.0 or earlier as our program will not work with 6.0. How do I find an earlier version 4 or 5. Thank you.

    Slow running program, uninstalled Firefox, I believe 3.1. My work program will only work with 4 or 5 for now. Where can I find an earlier version to download?

    In some cases, the incompatibility is due to the new HTML5 parser in Firefox 4. You could disable that and test whether the bank site works again.
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''html5''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''html5.parser.enable''' to toggle it to false (it should turn bold).
    Then reload the bank page and see whether it works.
    And if you need it, here's the process to roll back:
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
    Close Firefox 4.
    You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
    Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
    Note: I haven't actually tried this myself!
