you go to icloud.com and press find ipod touch and then you press wipe out ipod touch and then you set up your ipod touch to an icloud or pc back up and then that pass code will be off

I have a Mac OS X Version 10.7.5. Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo; Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Computer is running very slow. I cleared downloads and reset Safari, emptied trash, etc. How can I find out how much space I have left on my hard drive?

I am thinking of moving my OS and all applications to a SSD to free up space on my MBP.
My question is how do I find out how much space OSX and installed applications are taking up on my HDD so I know how big the SSD needs to be? Also, what is the best way to move these files across to the new SSD once installed?

If you do command-click or right click on your hard drive and select get info, it will tell you how full the HD is.

I replaced my internal drive with a SSD for performance reasons a few months ago. There are a number of ways to move your files over to the new SSD. I am a fan of the clean install, which might take a bit more time and effort but results in a very fast and trouble free mac. An easy way to do this if you are replacing your internal drive is to put the old drive in an external drive enclosure. Then you install the new SSD and install mavericks on it. In my case I used Diskmaker X to make a Mavericks installer (DiskMaker X (formerly Lion DiskMaker) . You may find that it's less expensive to go somewhere (such as ebay) and purchase a replacement rather than going through Apple to get yours repaired or replaced.
The iPad 1 isn't affected by the Activation Lock issue that many people run into when buying a secondhand device as it cannot run iOS 7.
It will probably be around $250 to repair/replace the iPad through Apple, and if you're willing to spend that amount, you may as well spend a bit more and get a newer device.

On the button that has your Apple ID it should state your account balance under your Apple ID.
