How do I find out if my camera is compatible with iphoto?

I don't really know much about cameras or iphoto so I need to find out if my camera is compatible with iphoto. It's a panasonic that is a few years old. Where do I go to find this out?

Here's a non-complete list
http://www.appleclub.com.hk/iphoto/compatibility/camera.html
which mentions no Panasonics at all. However, I'm in the process of buying one because even if the camera won't directly connect with iPhoto, I can use a USB card reader - which I actually prefer - to load the pics into iPhoto.
Two things to try:
1. Connect your Camera to your Mac and switch the camera on. Does iPhoto Launch? Does the Camera show up as a disk on the desktop?
2. Take the card from the camera and pop it into a Card reader attached to your Mac. Does it show on the desktop as a disk?
IF your Mac can see the Camera Card in either scenario, you can use it with iPhoto.

They sometimes have that information on the label. Otherwise, it's trial and error. The model you have is a Late 2009 13" MacBook. It came with a special version of 10.6.1 pre-installed.

F-Secure's Flashback removal tool - http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/trojan-downloader_osx_flashback_k.shtml - supposedly also works on OSX 10.5 and earlier.

How do I find out this info so I can get iPhoto? To be honest I'm not even sure what type of Mac I have and don't know how to find out what kind it is
I'd also like to make address labels and don't know where to find that either

You would make address lables with the Contacts app.
If you don't have the user name and password used to set up the machine then you need to purchase the apps for yourself.

  • How do I find out if I'm wireless compatible?

I received a reconditioned iBook G4 for Christmas in 2004. I'm getting frustrated with all the time I'm spending at my desk so I'm thinking about going wireless. But how do I find out if my laptop has a wireless card in it? I still have AppleCare. Could I take it to an Apple store and find out? Also, I have Vonage phone service. Would that be compatible with wireless access? Thanks!
    -Rod Abbott

In my owners manual it says that it is wireless ready, but also talks about purchasing an AirPort Extreme card. I just wanted to know if there is a card already in the laptop without opening it up myself.
Probably, the simpliest way to find out if your iBook has the AirPort Extreme card in it, is to use "About this Mac" from the Apple menu, and then select "More info..." to run the System Profiler.
I don't have a wireless router at all. I have a cable modem going to a vonage router then to my computer. There are vonage-enabled wireless routers on the market, but Apple doesn't have one.
In order for Vonage to work, you must have an existing high-speed Internet connection...thus the cable modem. Checking the Vonage site, I see that they provide either a Motorola VT242 or D-Link VTA device. Which do you have?

  • How can I find out what phone number is associated with my internet service?

It is not on a bill.  I can not find information regarding a Verizon account number.  Need to know what or how to find out the phone number associated with this account.

It will be on your bill.  Everything from VZW has a phone number associated with it. That is how your device dials in and connects with VZW, even through you as a user never needs to.
If you post your VZW device perhaps we can find the steps for you to look up the VZW number directly on the device through some of the support documentation.

  • HT1212 How can I find out if someone gets onto iTunes with my iPod

I lost my iPod how can I recover it if someone resets it.
    Find iPhone is on it
    It is registered with apple
    It is password protected
But none of this will work if someone just resets it!

"I lost my iPod how can I recover it if someone resets it."
    You cannot.
"But none of this will work if someone just resets it!"
    Correct.

  • I received a message to update plug-ins so tried following directions, only to find out my computer is not compatible with the update. How to delete ?

I have an older iMac operating on Mac OSx 10.4. When I attempted to down-load some plug-in updates, they would not accept it because my computer is to old and doesn't have the necessary capability. When I try to remove the message, nothing works, and every time I boot the computer with Firefox, it keeps reloading. Please tell me how to delete this plug-in reminder. Thank you.

You can inspect and modify some prefs on the about:config page to suppress the plugin reminder.
*set the plugins.hide_infobar_for_missing_plugin pref to true
*set the plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin pref to true
*set the plugins.update.url pref to an empty string

If there is a problem with the security of your Facebook account, you should check with Facebook on whether they can trace the access to a particular device. This isn't something you can determine on your own.

  • How do i find out if my vehicle is compadible with a viper alarm?

    i have a bmw 330ix

    Hi blknmyld!
This is straight from the Viper Support page here:
Will a Viper system be compatible with my car?
Yes, most Viper systems are designed to universally interface with any vehicle that employs a 12 volt electrical system, including cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, motor homes, SUVs, etc. However, some Viper systems (like the 3901V, 3902V and 3903V CANBUS OEM Upgrade systems) are vehicle specific. Please see those pages for more information.
Your  BMW should be fine if you're interested in installing a Viper system in it!

  • How can I find out if my iphone has been synced to another computer? (Backup/Sync Privacy)

So it would seem easy for someone (lets just say a girlfriend for example) to plug my iPhone into her computer while I am staying the night and backup to iTunes.  I have my settings to "require a passcode immediately", however there was one day there was access to my passcode at her place while I was not there. So my question is three-fold:
    - How can I find out if my iphone has synced with another computer/iTunes (possible history in the iPhone)?
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
One reason I ask this is because earlier this year her phone was backed up to my iTunes on accident.  I did not know it was there until months later, but was able to access it with software.
    Thanks!

You don't.  Nothing gets stored on the iPhone about what computers the device has been backed up to.
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
Yes, it's called a passcode lock.
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
No.  You might consider changing your Apple ID password to be on the safe side, though, as well as your security questions.

  • How do i find out what is behind names like"artist - track1"

    hi guys,
i'm new to itunes and i'm using it since a week or so, its simply amazing. the bad side is that i recognized that almost 20% of my music has no id3tags. So itunes list them with names like "artist - track4 - album" and so on. but in my explorer view there are still named, so how can i find out which specific file is meant with "artist - track4 - album"??? i mean, is there any way to get a information about the place where the file was before itunes imported and regrouped it in its library??? in the moment i've about 100 tracks wich are named "artist - track4 - album" for example.
    thx and greetz
    André

i mean, is there any way to get a information about the place where the file was before itunes imported and regrouped it in its library???
Nope. Short of playing it and recognizing the song, that is.
This is why it's a good idea to make sure everything is tagged before letting iTunes reorganize it all.
You can do a Get Info on a track in iTunes and look at the first tab to see what file it's referring to (next to Location:). But that may not be useful.
