How do I find out my keychain password? Need more info fast about this

My computer started to get really slow, so I looked what I could do to make it faster again. After searching I found that the safari content was high and that I should delete it to make it less laggy and slow. Long story short I ended up deleting my saved passwords on safari...Looking into more info, I found out that I needed to get to Keychain Access. I got to Keychain access, found all the passwords.
My question..
•How do I get them out of Keychain?
•If I end up needing my password for Keychain, how do I find that out? I have the like start up CD, but I dont remember ever making a password.
•And if I do retreive my Keychain Password some how, will that delete everything stored in Keychain? I would have just tried it, but its a lot of passwords I CAN NOT lose...
Please help :/
Thanks!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • HT1349 how do you find out your keychain password?

I do not know how to find my keychain password and we recently moved and I can not find my software that came with my computer.

You may be somewhat limited without the OS X Installation CD, but please check out this Apple Support article for help. Another Apple Support article would be this one.. Finally, this Tech-FAQ article may help as well.

Well, that depends on how your settings are.  But since you don't have your administrator password, you can't make changes anyway.  In the future when you reset the password and regain access you can find these settings in >system preferences>security and privacy general tab.
Someone has told me I should be shutting it down when I'm not using it.
No, that is not necessary at all.  Putting it to sleep is just fine when it is not in use.  Restarting it once a month is ok to clear out the caches, but everytime you are not using it-that is not necessary.

If you can't remember your password or security answers and don't have access to the email address (you didn't have a rescue email address on the account ?) then you can try contacting Support in your country and seeing if you can get the password reset and access to the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (they should also be able to reset the security questions)
If you can then update the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to.

    - If the backup has a password (called encrypted backup) then you either have to remember password or correctly guess the passcode or set up the iPod as new.

I created a password using iChain whilst on a website where I have an account. For some reason, I needed to change the password and it seems that the website can only be accessed using the original chain password. I do not have a record of it and it is not in my iChain password list. Can I find what historical passwords were used?

  • How do I find out my server password?

I just bought my third Mac, this one is a new Macbook Pro. I already have a white 2007 Macbook, and a 2009 iMac. With buying this one, I figured I'd start using file sharing, which I haven't done before. But, with that, I ran into a few problems: my main one was that when I tried to connect to the servers that my three computers were on, I was asked for usernames and passwords, none of which were the usernames or passwords that I use when logging onto the computers themselves.
I should start by explaining that when I got my first Macbook, my brother set it up for me (I was twelve), as well as the iMac, so I have no idea what the setup was like. With this new one, I was there for the setup myself. So, when prompted for the username and password, I just figured it was wanting the password that I used when I logged in, but that didn't work. I tried to connect to the server as a guest, too, but it still didn't work.
My new Macbook runs Mountain Lion, whereas both of my older Macs run Mac OS X 10.6.8. Like I stated before, I wasn't there for the setup of the first two (and I guarantee that my brother won't remember any passwords if there were any) Macs, but on the setup of my Pro, I never made a server username and password. So, I'm not sure what to do at all. I'd really like to take advantage of the file sharing abilities.
For each computer, it gives me a different username (and even on my new one, it gives me a username that isn't the username I use to login). I've tried every password I've ever used (and even all of my brother's passwords), but nothing has worked. Please help! Thank you.
If it helps, I have all the original packaging to each computer.

Ask your email ISP for that information. Usually it's your email account password. If you have forgotten it, then you may be out of luck.
