  • How do I find out the firmware version of my WD Black2?

Dumb question, maybe. How can I find out what firmware version I'm currently on? Need to know this to figure out if I need to update. Thanks

Oops, my mistake, that's the device driver in the OS. I should never post before my second cup of tea. Download and install WDC Lifeguard. Start it, right-mouse click on the drive in question, select Properties, and the firmware version will magically appear. http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?level1=6&lang=en

  • How can I find out which DLL version is on the end-user's computer?

I'm working on an installer program and I was wondering how I can find out what version of a DLL is on the end-user's computer, furthermore I would also like to find out if the file is locked in memory. Is there a way to do this? I figured natively there wouldn't be but does anyone know of a C++ wrapper or so?

I'm not aware of any way of seeing the list. Have you had other computer's in the past and/or updated the OS on your current computers without first deauthorising them ? Deauthorising all (which you can only do once every 12 months) won't remove any content from those computers, it just means that you won't be able to use the account's content on a particular computer until you've reauthorised that computer

  • How Do I Find Out a Folio Version Number

    Hi Guys,
So far, everytime I have submitted a folio to the App Store, I have received a variation of the following error:
Version Mismatch - Neither CFBundleVersion ['3.4.2.9.91210'] nor CFBundleShortVersionString ['1.0.8'] in the Info.plist match the version of the app set in iTunes Connect ['2.0'].
I'd like to be able to put the correct version number into iTunes Connect when I upload the App, but how do I find it? Where is the CFBundleShortVersionString for each folio located?
    Cheers
    Chris

It isn't necessary to change that number—Apple is just giving you a housekeeping warning—but if you really want to edit the version number in iTunes, you can find it in DPS App Builder.

  • How can I find out if the current CPU is 32-bit or 64-bit?

I am developing a program that calls an external c++ executable with a certain parameter. With certain parameters, the executable often takes up large amounts of memory (<4GB). This is bad as I am often running this program on a 32-bit machine.
I am compiling this program on a 32-bit machine and running it (sometimes) on a 64-bit machine.
I need a way to find out if I have a 32 or 64 bit CPU. I can't solve the problem of it crashing with these parameters, however I can avoid calling the executable for these specific parameters when I am on a 32 bit machine.
As far as I know, System.getProperty("sun.arch.data.model") will return the size of your java Virtual Machine, but I need to know the size of the CPU
So basically, to sum it up:
I need a way of finding out what the size of the runtime machine is. (32-bit or 64-bit)
    Thank you in advance!

  • I moved to a new pc but have the FF profile from the old one and how do I find out which FF version the old FF was?

I want to use the old version of FF from my previous pc. I saved the profile folder etc on the old pc. The old HD is attached to the new pc via USB. How do I tell what version the old one was?
After installing the old version on the new pc I want to use the former FF profile file on the new pc installation of FF.
I have the sessionstore backups etc. from 3/21.
BTW I typed all this info earlier and support automatically butted in with a guess to what would be an answer. And in the process overwrote what I typed. Please try to get mozilla to prohibit this behavior.

Sorry to hear that the forum lost your question.
I'm not sure I understand why you need an old version of Firefox. Were you way behind in updates? Normally when you install the current version, it will seamlessly update/convert any obsolete files in your profile folder to current versions.
Perhaps I'm answering the wrong question. If the question is: "how do I get a new installation of Firefox to use all my old settings" then I can give you a way to do that.
''This assumes you might have data in your new Firefox that you don't want to overwrite and preserves your current profile.''
Go ahead and open your old profile folder in a Windows Explorer folder. At this level you should see a bookmarkbackups folder, among others. Later you'll copy the ''entire contents'' of the old profile folder to a new location on your C drive.
    '''Overview'''
    These are the steps:
    # Create a new Firefox profile
    # Remove everything from that new profile folder
    # Copy in everything from the old profile folder
'''Create a new Firefox profile (Windows)'''
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager by pasting the following into the Start menu search box (or Run dialog) and pressing Enter:
    firefox.exe -P
''Do not delete anything here! Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.''
Click the Create Profile button, assign a name like OldSettings, and skip the option to change the folder location. Then select that new profile in the dialog and start Firefox.
'''Open the New Profile folder in Windows Explorer'''
Firefox in the new profile should look like a factory fresh installation. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table, click the "Show Folder" button. Firefox will launch your brand new profile folder in Windows Explorer.
Leaving that folder open, switch back to Firefox, and Exit. Either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
    * (menu bar) File > Exit
When Firefox closes, the profile folder should be front and center, or you can activate it using the Task bar.
'''Copy Old Data in Place of New'''
In that new profile folder, select all the contents and delete.
Leaving that window open, switch over to your old profile folder. At this level you should see a file named places.sqlite. If that isn't visible, try moving up a level until you find it.
Select everything (Ctrl+a) and Copy (either right-click > Copy or Ctrl+c).
Switch to the empty new profile folder in other window and Paste (either right-click > Paste or Ctrl+v). This may take a minute since some of the files are large.
    '''Start Firefox'''
Firefox should start up in that new profile with the resurrected old profile data. Success?

  • How can I find out the database version from an old backupset

    Hi,
I have to restore a database using an old backupset (4 years ago) to a new database. My challenge is we don't know what version of the database were used back then. Is there anyway I can find this information. We are using the RMAN catalog.
Or is RMAN restore and recovery can be used to a newer version than the backupset?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sosan Fong

Thanks for the reply and suggestion.
We are using its own software for all databases hosted in the server. So I need to cleanup and reinstall after tested in 11g. A little bit more work, but if it works, that's ok. Is there any other suggestions?

  • How do I find out if my version of Firefox is 32k or 64k version?

    I have a 64k win 7. When I do about I don't see 32k or 64k

All official Firefox releases for Windows are 32 bit versions.<br />
A 32 bit Firefox version runs without problems on a 64 bit Windows platform, you you need to install 332 bit versions of plugin as well.

  • ADS problem: How can I find out the SP of ADS?!

    Hi,
when i try to run the Dynamic Form tutorial i get the following exception:
    java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
The execution of "Test" under http://<host>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config
    was successfull.
I have SAP Developer Studio SP 11, J2EE SP11,  but I am not sure what ADS SP I have.
    So my question:
Is it important that the ADS has the same SP than the J2EE and the Developer Studio?
And how can I find out what ADS version I have currently installed?
    Kind regards,
    Tobi

    Hi Tobias,
This can be due to lot of reasons.
Please have a look at the following SAP Notes:
826419 Setting socket timeout for WS Clients in SP10 and SP11
849851 Importing a Web Dynpro patch for Support Package 12
867502 Read Timeout using AdobeDocumentService in Web Dynpro
Also there are few more notes, that you should check.
To check the version of all the components in your J2EE Engine, goto
    http://<server>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo
You can see the version of Software Components.
For ADS check ADS_SAP and ADS_SAPOFF components version. It will be like 1.00 SPXX.
Let me know if you still got this problem.

    Shubham

  • How do I find out if my Mac OS x version 10.6.8 has enough memory space for me to down load Mountain Lion?

How do I find out if my Mac OS x version 10.6.8 has enough memory space for me to down load Mountain Lion?

You need to know 2 things
Ram, you need a minimum of 2GB, but 4GB (or more) is recommended.
HDD, you need a minimum of 20GB of hard disk space (including space for operation)
    So.
Go to Apple>About this Mac and you will be able to see the amount of Ram installed.
Then select your hard drive (in Finder>Sidebar, usually called MacintoshHD) and click cmd-i (Command key and the letter I) look for capacity and available, post the results here.
