How do I find out the size of each individual element within a photoshop file as need to replace some elements?  Thanks

What do you mean by "Elements"?
Elements in a flat image or Layers?
Could you please post a screenshot with the Layers Panel visible?

  • How can i find out the size of video on my iphone 5?

How can i find out the size of video on my iphone 5?

As far as I've known, all iPhones (3G/3GS/4/4S/5) sold in China (probably only in China) have this low battery alert sound.
    So called "localization" or what...
Actually many people found it annoying coz it plays even when the phone is switched to SILENT. However no solution has been found so far
PS: reeeeeeeally hope Apple could see this thread and at least give Chinese users an option to switch it off!!

  • How do I find out the size of a file, trying to make a DVD and told the fil

Made a slide show project with music and trying to write to dvd. Computer tells me the file is to large and to use a dual sided disk. I cut may slides out but no luck. How do you find out the file size?

    Hi
And SlideShows has a limit of 99 slides per show.
I rather assemble mine in iMovie HD 6 where as QuickTimeKirk states
it only has Time as a limit dep. on encoding method selected and if Single or Double layer DVDs
Single Layer (for DL double time) - TIME includes menu - keeping it simple gives more to movie.
(I prefere "Brushed Metal" no audio, no animation.)
    • Professional Quality (movies up to 120 min.) - BEST
    • Best Performances (movies less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD
    • High Quality (in iDVD08) / Best Quality (in iDVD6) (movies up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above

  • HT4489 How do you find out the size of a contact card?

The old Mobile Me service had lots of issues with the number of contacts you could have. Now it seems that with this info: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4489
iCloud: Limits for Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Bookmarks
Apple has tried to inform us about the limits you can have. None the less it does not tell you how to ( for instance) know the size of the memory taken by ( contacts). So they have given us guidance but no way to know how to use it or check it. Can anybody advice how to measure the size of contacts ( for instance).? For business users this could be important. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Guy M.

Address Book's own database will be differently structured from an exported vCard so it's not really worth tampering with that.
The vCard is a series of fields separated by line returnes, with records being separated by BEING:VCARD and END:VCARD - a typical single simple card looks like this:
    BEGIN:VCARD
    VERSION:3.0
    N:National Film Theatre;;;;
    FN:National Film Theatre
    ORG:National Film Theatre;
    TEL;type=WORK;type=pref:020 7928 3232 booking
    TEL;type=WORK:020 7928 3535 prog planning
    TEL;type=WORK:020 7815 1335 tech
    TEL;type=WORK:020 7928 3233 booking
    item1.ADR;type=WORK;type=pref:;;The Box Office\, BFI Southbank\nBelvedere Road\nSouth Bank;London;;SE1 8XT;
    item1.X-ABADR:gb
    X-ABUID:A1345405-E248-4B2B-906B-F5AFA5BF15CB\:ABPerson
    END:VCARD
As you can see it's only a small amount of data - 464 bytes - so really I don't think you need to worry about the size of any individual entry except where photos are concerned - obviously they take up a lot more room. I checked a card with a typical small photo and the size was 5,137 bytes: so only quite a large photo is going to cause you any problems.
I don't know of any way of collecting statistics on the all-contacts vCard, except that if you converted it to a tab-delimited format and imported it into a spreadsheet or database program it would tell you the number of contacts.

  • HT5730 How can I find out the size (Kb /MB) of software updates?

My software updates available contains a number of program updates.   I have a daily data allowance of 400 mb.  I want to prioritise my downloads, but cannot make a decision without knowing how big each update is.  So, how can I find this out ?

This information does not seem to be easily available anymore, in many cases.  See, for instance, the discussion at:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/22563518#22563518
Also, be aware that the trend seems to be for updates to be automatically downloaded without user interaction, ready for installation!   You can uncheck "Download newly available updates in the background" inside System preferences under "Software update". I think it is checked by default.
The best answer, although I don't think it's a great one, seems to be that once you start the download, the download window will show you how big it is.  In previous versions of OS X, the size of the download appeared in the update screen, but has now gone.
    Hope that helps.

  • How do I find out the size of a project in iMovie before sending to idvd?

I need help finding the size of a project before I send it to iDVD?
    Thanks

In this case size doesn't matter. iDVD only cares about length:
    iDVD encoding settings:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1502?viewlocale=en_US
    Short version:
Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
That was for single-layer DVDs. Double these numbers for dual-layer DVDs.
Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced two-pass technology to encode your video (The first pass determines which parts of the movie can be given greater compresson without quality loss and which parts can’t.  The second pass then encodes those different parts accordingly) , resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned about the time taken.
In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. This option takes about twice as long as the High Quality option, so select it only if time is not an issue for you.
Use the Capacity meter in the Project Info window (choose Project > Project Info) to determine how many minutes of video your project contains.
NOTE: With the Best Performance setting, you can turn background encoding off by choosing Advanced > “Encode in Background.” The checkmark is removed to show it’s no longer selected. Turning off background encoding can help performance if your system seems sluggish.
And whilst checking these settings in iDVD Preferences, make sure that the settings for NTSC/PAL and DV/DV Widescreen are also what you want.

  • How do I find out the size of my iTunes library in iTunes 11?

Need to find out so I can deem which model of iPhone 5 is suitable when I upgrade at the weekend, but the info bar at the bottom of the window has disappeared and quite frankly, I'm clueless.
    UPDATE: Found the answer.

There are no such totals at the bottom of the window. How can that be? I'm using iTunes 7.6.
However, I did navigate to the music folder and found my library was 12.65G. I have a 100 gig hard drive and something is using up a 99 gig. The only other program on my computer that has a lot of memory use is iPhoto - about 11,184 photos.
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this, but how can I look at the contents of my Hard drive in detail and see a list of each item in it and how much memory each item is using? And the totals involved? I get the feeling there is something in my hard drive that is taking up most of the space, but I don't know what it is.
    Thank you for your reply.

  • How can I find out the screen size of the users moniter using the Acrobat SDK?

How can I find out the screen size of the users moniter using the Acrobat SDK? I need to know how much sreen real estate that is available on the users moniter. Is there some call that I can make from the SDK to discover the maximun X and Y coordinates?
    Thanks,
    Gregory

Currently, I am testing on multiple moniters and it is defaulting to the moniter designated as the #1 moniter. For our purposes, this is acceptable. Once the two documents have loaded, the user can move and re-size at will.
