How do I find out what Verizon's basic rates are without a promotion?

I am a long time (perhaps since the inception of the name Verizon) Verizon customer, and moved to fios services several years ago when they offered an excellent promotion. Unfortunately, the promotion that the sales person offered was never delivered to me by written contract, only as a promotional flyer, for which Verizon seemed to have a strange interpretation. But that was long ago and I figured Verizon came "close enough". Once the promotion time was up, my bill escalated.
I went on line to try to find anywhere that listed how much the fios Double Play Bundle of Internet and Freedom Essentials would cost at the non-promotional rate. I didn't find the information, so I called service and asked what they could do for me. I received a "valued customer" discount for $30 a month off my bill, but was never told where to find actual service rates. Now that the discount is no longer being applied, my bill has risen again.
So again I went online and searched in at least a dozen ways for the actual cost of my bundle without consideration of promotions. The information is not to be found. The only price I see are promotions for $74.99 or 79.99. I am being charged 112.99 before fees taxes etc. It doesn't actually say those are promotions for new customers only. When I called customer service, the agent informed me that they were, in fact,  for new customers. The only way to get any kind of discount again would be to upgrade to triple internet speed at $99.99 per month. So Verizon's idea is to keep enticing you to increase your service level.
But what happens when you reach the end of the line. How much will those services actually cost when you've reached the top of the ladder? Sure I can check my bill, but the point is to see if I am being over charged. I want to know where the true basic rates are listed. The service person said that I would have to sign in to find them. So I signed in and still find only promotions.
It's important to have basic rates in order to know how to evaluate the promotions and to plan for future costs. It's also important to be able to understand when one is considered a "new" customer. Evidently, if I change my service I am once again new. If I go to triple play, I get a bundle deal. If I get a deal with less service, do I also get a promotional rate? Nowhere is that explained. Somehow a contract fits in with all this confusion. I've been a customer for ages, but without a contract. There is no explanation of how a contract differs from getting a 2 year promo without a contract.
I might not necessarily change my plan even with full disclosure, but at least I would feel that my decision is based on rational choice rather than trickery.
Has anybody found this secret information?

You've checked the purchase history on your account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it which you can click on (the most recent purchase will be above the list).
Or did you have an auto-renewing subscription that was due : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098 ?
If you changed your credit card details on your iTunes account then a small temporary store holding charge may have been made to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so. How do i find out what teachers editions and resources are available to compliment etextbooks?
I'm researching the possibility of using iPads for our school but I need to make sure that we can get the appropriate teacher resources to go along with the textbooks. Where can I find these?

I would contact the publisher of the textbook directly.  Apple is just a store, not a publisher.

  • How can I find out what apps I've purchased are stored in the cloud

I changed phones and am trying to find out if the apps that I have purchased on my iPhone are stored in the cloud so I can bring them down to my ipod touch.

Unless they've been removed from the iTunes Store, they'll be available in the iCloud; click here and follow the instructions. Note that a few iOS applications won't work on an iPod touch.

  • How do I find out what "new" features, if any, are in incremental version updates to CC?

In olden days, Adobe would tell you what was fixed and what was added to new micro-versions of a product. I've noticed now that when I get an update to Photoshop or Bridge, it can be over 100mb but nowhere does it say what the update is for like new features, bug fixes, etc. Does anyone know if there is a version changelog or anything similar that explains what each new incremental update does or fixes? Since we are paying now for our Photoshop and new implementations are supposed to be included (thus no more major new versions), I'd like to know what these new incremental updates actually do and what new and wonderous things Adobe has come up with. Anyone know??

    Hi,
You can read about the 14.1.1 & 2 updates here:

For the new features in 14.1, you can find them here:

  • How can I find out what is eating up my data?

This is my second month with Verizon and with my old service plan we only use to use 5GB per month.  Now we are over 7GB.  How can I find out what I am using that is eating up my data?  I still do same things I did 3 months ago.

I Assume you may have more than one, new device.  You can check in each devices settings, under cellular/mobile data to see which applications are using the most data.
YOu can then change many of the applications to use wifi only by turning cellular data off.
email and social media apps have settings within the apps to restrict cellular use, like not showing video of images.
restrict application from running in the background by closing apps before leaving home wifi or letting your phone "sleep" at home, while not connected to power.  (To save battery your phone switches off wifi, reverting to cellular, not a desirable feature, but it is supposed to save battery)
** to close apps, double click home button and swipe up to close app.  Leaving YouTube, Games, Maps, Social media apps open in the background can use mobile data.
clear the "outbox" in email.  Cases of massive data use have occurred when an email continues to fail and sits in the out box of the Mail app.
IN General, a newer phone does use more data for the same functions as older phones.
FFor more help with your iPhone, please visit Apple support, community forums or a Genius Bar.  I find them very helpful.
if you do go in to Genius Bar, back up your device.  In some cases, replacing or a complete restor are the only solutions.

  • How do I find out what my PW is on my Mac or at least how to reset it?

I reset my password for internet site but i must have a different pw on my Mac, it will not let me do updates without it*  The PW hint in the sign in screen is not working.  How do I find out what my PW is on my Mac or at least how to reset it?
    thanks,

Sounds like you want your administrative password on the Mac so can install? For starters, you'll want to ask in a Mac forum. I know you used to be able to reset it using the install disk but haven't tried that for years.

  • How do i find out what devices are authorised on my apple ID?

I have just bought a new iMac and want to get all my itunes library etc on it.  However, apparently i have reached my limit of 5 authorisations, which is entirely possible as I have had a number of iphones, Macair and ipads, some of which I either no longer own or are no longer functioning.  How do I find out what devices are authorised and then deauthorise any that I don't use any more - given that they may not even work!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't de-authorise just the computers you no longer have access to.
Your only option is to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise those you wish to be authorised. You can do this by logging into your account settings in iTunes on your computer (Store > View My ID) and selecting the option to de-authorise all.
Please note however, you are only permitted to do this once in each 12 month period, therefore you would be better de-authorising your computers before you lose access to them. you can do this from the 'Store' menu in iTunes.

  • I have two iPhones on my iTunes account. How can I find out what apps go to which phone?

I have two iPhones on my iTunes account. How can I find out what apps go to which phone?

I don't believe that there is a way to do that.  I would sugest using automatic downloads to keep your apps synced across both phones.  You might also want to note that just about any app you have ever download will be available for free download via icloud.
Wish I could be more help.

  • How can I find out what apple IDs are tied to an email address

We are trying to set up FaceTime and got the verification error on the email address.  We went in to the Apple ID account and when we verify the email address, it tells us that it's tied to another AppleID.  My daughter has 3 other AppleIDs and we've checked each one of them and the email address is not tied to any of them.
How can we find out what apple ID is tied to this email address?
We have used the "Forgot my Apple ID" function and used all 3 of the different email addresses she's used on the accounts and when we access the one that says there's a duplicate, it takes us to the account and it's the one with the email address that I noted above.
    Any thougts or help?
    Thanks!
