How do I find out where my memory is distributed?

Hi,
I am having some power issues and am in the process of sending my mac in for repairs so I am backing it all up onto a Seagate Backup Plus.
In the process of doing this I was trying to consoliate my itunes library onto my HD and it said I only have 10GB left availble. How can I see what is taking up the most room so I can start deleting ect?
Also, I am using TimeMachine to back up all my files so will it automatically back up my music even if its not all on my HD (I can only find most of it in Itunes)

Mods are supposedly looking into this. An engineer turned up when I was out, unannounced, wife was at home.

I assume he was sent by the mods, odd that he should think that my issue was wifi, odd that he should think that 30/15 is anything like the estimates or my IP profile (77.43/20). When I was sold Infinity 2 by the bloke on the phone I was told what it was GOING TO BE, no ifs, no buts, no "up to".
That's why I was wondering where my cabinet was, just to get a feel for things, whilst I wait for this to be further progressed (like sending an engineer who knows what I have complained about, per chance). As a matter of policy
you'd imagine they should stop sending engineers out before establishing that anyone is at home. Also would be useful
if they had a copy of the complaint in their mits.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

How do I find out where iTunes thinks missing files are?

I have several hundred "missing" files in my iTunes library but they are all actually on the computer. But I don't remember where the were previously. I add dozens of songs at a time to my library all the time and there is no Earthly way for me to constantly remember where they were before. I don't just want to reimport the files because I have several hundred playlists with these files and it would be completely stupid to edit them all one at a time when all I need to do is to move them back to where iTunes thinks they should be. So where is that? The Windows media player has a column that displays file location. Why doesn't iTunes? (This is so stupid. It makes things -not just this- so much easier when you have the file location in the music list in your music player.)

If you right click - get info on a song then view the Info tab, you will see where iTunes last used it from.
I'm not a newbie. I know quite a lot about iTunes. You sound like you don't though because if you did you would know that this is not true. If you "right click - get info on a song" (pressing cancel to the Locate popup) "then view the SUMMARY (not info) tab" you will see "Not Available" where the file location usually is. I wouldn't have asked this question if I hadn't gone through the steps already.

When I install a new hard drive. Yes. I generally keep everything organized and I let iTunes keep the folder organized but several years ago I used windows media player to organize my media.
Frankly I don't know HOW the recent songs/videos/etc. go missing. But some do. Maybe I accidentally move a folder without realizing it. Mistakes happen. Then I need to move it back but since I didn't know I did it in the first place I can't possibly be expected to remember where I moved it from.
Do you have iTunes prefs -> Advanced Keep ITunes music folder organized ticked and Copy files to iTunes ... ticked?

I don't mean to sound rude but you sound like an Apple fanboy. Are you trying to tell me how I should use my own program? The answer to the question is I am a salsa instructor/DJ and I am constantly adding songs and videos to my library. Every month I have various salsa events, classes and performances that I do. I use my iPhone for the music. I need to maintain the playlists because students/teachers/studios/clubs/bars/churches/etc. call me back and want a repeat of the great salsa night I gave them a year ago. Naturally my playlists are highly organized into folders. So, I still have them and I need them.
Apple has its own ideas about how people should use its stuff but everyone is unique and our needs therefore are unique too. Apple doesn't realize this and still wants us to do things "the Apple way" even though "the Apple way" only works well for people who want their hand held through everything. This is why I say you sound like a fanboy. You don't know my situation and question if I need hundreds of playlists. I do.
I just need an answer to the question.

When I have opened older Projects in later versions, I have gotten a very useful dialog screen, telling me of missing Transitions (exact name and TimeCode), and of missing Effects. Do you not get such?
When you Open the CS3 Project, is any Clip flagged?
Considering how well PrPro has picked up on missing 3rd party stuff, I would be surprised, that it did not give you all of the necessary info.

Somehow a program/plugin/extension named (keeptube) will show up everytime I am on a website that has linked a youtube video. Its a piece of code that takes you to a site that allows you to download youtube videos (http://savemedia.com ). So the website and the button have different names .
Its not very well programmed because it consistantly places itself over the "view on youtube","make fullscreen" and "settings" buttons at the bottom right corner of the video every time I am on such a page.
I need to get rid of it.
Neither "DO NOT" show up in addons/plugins/extensions.

How do I find out where FCP saved my captured media?

I'm editing a project and my original source capture on one of my clips needs to be recaptured because of some corruption on the very front part of the file which is making it impossible to insert any of the video track from this capture into my timeline (audio works fine for some reason).
Anyhow, I need to recapture from scratch all of this footage (about 40 mins) so I'm trying to figure out how to find out exactly where my corrupt footage is so I can delete it from my drive so it's not taking up tons of space unnecessarily. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out where this was put by FCP. Anyone know how to figure out where it went?

This is after you have searched using the file name and you've looked in the location you set in Scratch Disks?
If all else fails, look in the FCP application Package. For some odd reason, occasionally files end up there.

How do I find out where the link for a button points to?

I installed a Flash template that has a "Read More" button which is used in several locations of the site. The button corresponds to a single symbol called "button_more" and another symbol within that symbol called "area_more". It's a "Movie Clip" type of symbol, not a "Button" type symbol.
What I'm trying to figure out is where would I find the link to the page where that button points to - it points to different pages of the site depending on where it's located. For example, in the About Us section it links to a page that has more details describing About Us. In the Services section it links to a page that has more details describing Services. So the same symbol is going to different links.
I checked the Properties of the symbol and it doesn't have any option for a link. (I guess it's not really going to a link, but to a different frame in the timeline) But where would I find exactly where each button points to in case I want to edit one of them in the future, or create a new button with a new link?

No, the background color is not the same as any of the actionscript colors. It's a blank page, I can see that there's no code because it starts at line 1.
I figured it out though - when I go to the timeline manually, I am supposed to highlight the actual button. Then I see the code. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction...
