How do I find out which computers I have activated on iTunes?

I am trying to activtate my laptop on iTunes and it keeps telling me that I already have 5 computers activated. I checked my old laptop and it says it is not activated.
So, how do I find out which computers are activated? How do I take the old ones off the activation list if I no longer own them? I no longer have the HP Vectra computer listed below.

You cannot identify them. However you can deauthorise them all and then reauthorise the ones you need.
To Deauthorise all
go to Itunes Store Select Account from the Quik links section
Use the Deauthorise all button
To reauthorise a machine
Store > Authorise this computer.. in the Top Menu (You may need Ctrl B to see it in windows)

I'm not aware that you can see a list anywhere - and no, iPhones (nor iPads or iPods) count, only computers do (but a computer could count more than once e.g. if you've updated or reinstalled the OS without first deauthorising it).
If you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

Does it matter if it was an old computer that we don't have anymore, or is it based on accounts that are authorized?

Sign in to the account in question, go to Account Information and under Account ID Summary, you need to Deauthorise All. Then Authorise just the computer(s) you do want.

I have 4 authorised computers for my iPhone but I have no idea what 2 of them are. Is there a way I can see what the computers authorised are? Or can I deauthorise computers that I no longer have access to?

I'm not aware of anyway to see a list of your authorised computers. Have you had other computers in the past and/or updated or reinstalled the OS on those that you still have without first deauthorising them ? Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but when you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

How do I find out which model I have?

Please forgive my ignorance. I am here to learn.
My motherboard has P6NGM stamped in it but to get support, I need to know which letters follow those -- and I don't know how to find that information.
The bigger problem -- and the one I need to solve -- is that a trojan has found its way into my BIOS. I put the infected HD off line and I tried to install a brand new HD, but I got a warning that there was a virus and did I want to continue the process. Well, no. I don't need another infected hard drive.
I think that if I remove the CMOS battery for a few hours it the chip will reset to factory default and the trojan will go away, but then I will need to flash the BIOS. That is where knowing which version of the motherboard comes in. I can't download the right BIOS if I don't know what model of motherboard I have.
Please help! This problem is driving me crazy.

When you partition/format a hard drive, the boot sector of that hard drive is rewritten. In BIOS-Setup, under "Advanced BIOS Features" there is in option called "Boot Sector Protection", which (when enabled) will put out a potential virus warning when there is write access to the hard drives's boot sector. When I search for apps I already had, there is a cloud icon when the "buy" icon usually is, and I am able to download them with ease. However, I know there are many more apps I that I had whose names escape me. I'm accustomed to being notified of updates automatically, which means I forget to check for the ones that don't send notifications (PSE 9). I looked through the list of updates, but don't know where to start because I don't know which ones have already been installed. They appear to be separate patches so I'm assuming (incorrectly perhaps) that downloading the most recent one won't include the previous patches. This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? How do I find out which 5 ccomputers are authorised so I can deauthorise one?

1. Open itunes store and scroll to the bottom.
2. You will see Manage under this please click Account. This will now pop up a box asking you to sign in again.
3. Then under itunes in the Cloud the first thing you see is manage devices.
4. Click manage devices and it will show you everything you have got and it gives you the option to remove and then click done, once done.
