How do I find Safari history for a long time ago?

I need to find what my website history was from over a month ago. Safari only shows my history from yesterday and today. Is there a way I can go back farther? I don't have an antivirus program that does this for me.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no built-in mechanism that records such information over such a long period.
Perhaps if you shared what you are trying to accomplish, Readers could think of another solution for you.

If you access your history, you can see that it is sorted by date (you can sort it by other criteria, if you want). Maybe that is the source of the confusion?

Preserving Safari history for use in a new iMac installation

My Mother is ready for a new iMac but has a strong afinity to using the Safari history for browsing sites she's accessed previously. Reading about Safari history has alerted me to the "plist" file that the history is saved in. I need to determine how I can transfer a XOS plist file between ver 10.5.8 and ver 10.7 of Safari without running into permission or authorization issues to successfully save this information for her use with Safari in the new machine.
In a past upgrade I missed how important the Safari history file was to her. I ended up with a very disappointed user/Mom which was an experience I don't intend to repeat.

"Java" doesn't have a password, unless you mean your admin password for installing software. That's whatever password you (or the person who set your computer up) used to set up your admin account. Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
