How do I find the serial number for Adobe Photoshop Elements 6?

In January of 2012 I purchased an Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner.  Adobe PhotoShop Elements 6 came with it.  Last week I bought a new computer.  I installed PhotoShop Elements 6 on the new computer.  Now PhotoShop Elements 6 asks me for a 24-digit serial number.  I cannot find it on the Adobe PhotoShop Elements 6 disk that came with the scanner.  I cannot find it in any of the documention I received from Epson with the scanner.  Where can I find the 24-digit serial number for PhotoShop Elements 6 so I can transfer PhotoShop Elements 6 from my old computer to the new one?

Unfortunately, if you've never installed it, adobe has no record of your serial number. Serial numbers for bundled products are sold in great batches, and the buyer (Epson, in your case) has responsibility for them. You would need to get in touch with Epson.
If you have installed and registered PSE 6, go to adobe.com and look on the right side of the page for My Adobe. By working through the links there you should be able to find the record of the serial number you registered.

    Hello All. this is my fisrt post here, so please excuse me if I have posted in the wrong area.
    I have bought Photoshop from a local dealer in my country (Hungary). I have lost the product key for this software and now I need to re-install it.
    I have contacted the local dealer from which I have bought this program but they have advised me that the best way to get back my cd key is to contact Adobe.
    I know that there are some methods through which the key can be recovered. Some of them are posted on this [malware site removed] website, but I didn't find any tutorial for Photoshop. I have also tried to use one of the applications which are provided on that website, too, but without any results.
    My operating system is Windows 7.
    Can you please help me with this issue?

    If you install something like belarc advisor [ unknown link removed ] which is completly free it will do an audit of your system including telling you the serial number of installed software (and yes it should include photoshop - well it does for me).

    Did you ever install Premiere Elements 11 on your computer?
    If so, then go to the Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com, sign in with your Adobe ID and Password, go to the Search field (top right of the web page) and type in My Products. Follow the My Products link to the list of your registered products. If you find your Adobe Premiere Elements 11 listed there, click on it to reveal the serial number.
    Please let us know the outcome.

    Add On...remember, Adobe will not let you use the purchased activated serial number on more than 2 of your computers (and then, one at a time).

    If you registered the product when you first installed it then the serial number should be retained in your Adobe account online.

    Do you have the receipt? If you have proof of ownership, you _may_ be able to persuade Customer Support to help you out.  I imagine you would need to scan and email that proof if it works at all.

    My serial number for adobe photoshop elements 12 and premiere elements 12 does not work.  On adobe.com it shows that the serial number I received is associated with adobe photoshop elements 9 and premiere elements 9.  I have purchased those products in the past, but just recently upgraded to elements 12.  I can use the the photoshop organizer, but can't open the photoshop editor.

    You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.
