HOW DO I FIND WHICH PLUGINS ARE NEEDED on pages that dont display?

Question
when i loginto my.t-mobile.com i get a circle of moving dots in a white screen over top of some of pages, and some pages have a moving circle like the QuickTime circle in place of the curser. i know its because ff needs a plugin or something installed but dont get info from ff as to what is needed. this site works perfect in IE8 (after IE8 loaded unknown to me which ones) some plugin.have upgraded to FF8, same problem. had same type problem on IRS free file website where pages wont show, but worked perfect in IE8. problem has to be that a plugin or addin needs to be installed but i can't get any info about which to work on.

Very few apps actually run in the background, so, if you're talking about removing apps from the recently used list, that's unlikely to have any significant affect on your data usage. You should go to Settings>General>Background App Refresh and turn off background app refresh for those apps that you don't need to have using data in the background.
You can go to Settings>Cellular and scroll down to see which apps are set to be able to use cellular data. Under each app name is the amount of data they've been using.

  • How do I know which plugins are needed

    Mozilla's newsletter has just prompted me to check my Firefox plugins. It found five that were up-to-date, all of which I recognise - sort of. I was surprised though that it found another 10 which it said were "unknown" and prompted me to "research". Some of these were pretty blue-chip, like McAfee SecurityCenter, and Google Update - some don't mean much to me. Four are "Real"Something.
    I guess I should get rid of those I don't need. My problem is - how do I know what I need? If I disable RealJukeBox, am I likely to find that something I use suddenly stops working? Clicking "Research" may tell me how to remove a plugin, but does not seem to tell me what it does and what uses it. (I think BBC iPlayer uses RealPlayer, so I probably should not remove that.)

    Find the ap in the App Store and tap on it to see more info. There will be a section with minimum system requirements.

  • How do I find which 'machines' are authorised on my Mac?

    I have a MacBook Pro OSX 10.5.8 and iTunes 9.2.1(5).
    Apparently, I have two machines authorised on my account! How do I find which (what?) these are?
    I synchronise my iPhone 3GS and iPad to the same account. It still shows my (now non existent) iPod Touch too.
    So - how can I find out which 'two' are 'authorised'?

    Thanks for this.
    The info re: iPods/iPhones clarifies one thing for me thank you. However, I don't have any recollection of authorising any other machine on my iTunes, so would still like to know how to find out which machines have become authorised.
    There may not be any others! In many cases, iTunes will use up another authorization after a motherboard replacement, OS upgrade, etc, even when there is not really a new machine.
    That is why it is a good idea to deauthorize a machine before doing anything significant to it, but of course that is easy to forget to do. As the gnome points out, it does not really matter until you hit 5, at which time you can simply "deauthorize all."

  • How can I find which applications are using the most power?

    I have recently noticed a full charge of power doesn't last as long as it used to on my iPad 2.  Is there some way to determine which applications are using the most power?
    I have been monitoring my home network router accesses and have noticed the iPad logs accesses every 15 seconds.  This only happened recently.  It had been well behaved and only accessing once or twice a day before.  I installed the most recent iTunes upgrade, per suggestions during a Sync.  The problems seemed to occur after this update.  I have gone through all the settings and have minimized the applications requiring higher power (I switch off the location services unless I'm away from home.  Likewise, I turn off my cellular carrier unless I'm away from home, etc.)
    In short, how can I maximize my power usage (aside from turning it off)?
    Thanks.
    Dave

    Thanks for responding so quickly.
    I'm really trying to find out why the battery is depleting much faster than it used to all of a sudden.  I used to be able to put a full charge on it and it would last about 5 to 6 days with normal use (normal for me).  Now that battery only lasts about 2 to 3 days with the same use.
    I DO recharge it when it needs to be charged but this is indicating there is something else (new) that is causing the power drain.

  • Which plugins are needed/ good for firefox?

    I have several plugins listed that are followed by (?Research) what does this mean?

    Can you guide me on how to change it to adobe reader as the default.  I can't figure out where this option is.
    I have to get access to the computer with the probloem to pull up the error message when trying to open a pdf file in Explorer.  I think it says that it can`t find the program or to try shutting adobe down and try again.

  • On some pages I get an error in yellow at the top "This page requires a plugin that can only run in 32-bit mode" with an option to restart; how do I find which plugin this applies to and/or disable this message for the given plugin?

    I don't want to restart in 32-bit mode unless absolutely required, and even if I need to I want to track down and replace the involved plugin with a 64-bit version if I can. There should be a 'more information' or similar button instead of just 'Restart in 32-bit mode' being the only prominent option.

    Look to see if you have an app called Browser Plus from Yahoo. I uninstalled it because it said it isn't compatible with Firefox 4 & up. Thus far that error hasn't returned.

  • How to find what archivelogs are needed for recovery

    From Hemants sir's blog:
    http://hemantoracledba.blogspot.com/2010/03/misinterpreting-restore-database.html
    "You can query V$ARCHIVED_LOG for FIRST_CHANGE# and FIRST_TIME besides SEQUENCE#. That way, you can match SCN (FIRST_CHANGE#), Time and Sequence to determine which ArchiveLogs are need. The RMAN LIST BACKUP command shows you the Checkpoint SCN for all datafiles in a backup, so you need ArchiveLogs from the point of the earliest Checkpoint SCN in that backup set."
    How can i find the earliest checkpoint SCN from the backupsets?
    Any queries to find the earliest SCN in backupset(RC views)?

    If i have to refresh the database from the backup of 9-AUG so the earliest SCN from where recovery would be needed is 60279026593 ?

  • How could I find which i-views/pages are being used

    Hello
    I am pritty new in portal area. I have to administrate an ESS/MSS portal during hollydays. I am trying to find everywhere the way.
    How could I find which i-views/pages are being used. Let say I can see which group I belong and which roles are behind.
    How could I know in which PCD folder they are taken into account (to e.g give permission to someone not in the group)

    HI,
    the user administration (UME) gives you the information about the user <-> group <-> role assignment.
    When you know the role, search in the PCS for it, open the role and you will see all the pages / iviews assigned to the role.

  • How do I determine what xtras are needed?

    From the searching I have done it appears that xtras equired are mostly trial-and-error.
    Is there an efficient way to determine what xtras are needed for each lindividual movie?
    My programs are divided into a series of sequential movies.  At the end of each movie
    there is a goto statement to launch the next movie.  Does that require me to determine
    xtras for each separate movie?
    In a perfect world there would be a way for Director to search a  folder for and present an aggregate list of all xtras required for that set of movies.
    If no such method exists, what is the recommended hunt and peck system?

    Thanks for the response, rduane.  But I refer to the procedures as a bit random for the reasons you mentioned in your explanation.  For example, you stated that, "Director will normally add all of the Xtras that you need to each movie as you build it".  And, yes, I know that it does add some automatically.  But, if Director really does "add all of the xtras that you need to each movie as it is built", how could I ever jump to one that is missing a needed xtra?  If it needs it, why wasn't it added when it was built?
    So, that's the reason I mentioned "trial and error", and "hunt and peck".  The system is not reliable in its handling of xtras, or which ones are needed where.  I am familiar with workarounds such as going to each movie and selecting Modify>Movies>Xtras to see which ones Director has added,  But that is all it tells you.  It does not tell you if it has added all the xtras "needed".  And when the error message comes up, it does name the missing xtra, but not which movie needs it.  So, one has to go find the named xtra and copy it over to the Xtras folder.
    At least, that's what I do to fix it.  But I asked the question because I wanted to know if Xtras handling itself is unreliable, or if I'm doing something incorrectly.

  • How do you tell which files are open in bridge cs5?

    In adobe bridge for CS2, open files in Photoshop show an icon in the lower right corner of the bridge thumnail. This is really helpful in sorting if you have a lot of files open. I can't figure out how to tell in bridge CS5 which files are open in photoshop. Is there a menu option that controls this??

    Thanks for the reply. This is a useful feature but not quite what I need.
    I am sorting through 2000 wedding photos. I have maybe 10 versions of the same shot open at a time. I edit, save, and close 2-3 of them. In CS2, I would go back to bridge and I could see the 7 files still open. I could quickly highlight and delete them. I'm trying to find a way to do something similar in CS5 bridge. Right now, I take the ones I'm going to delete and stack them all. But when I go back to bridge to delete them, I have to look at file numbers to see which ones are in the stack that I want to delete. This really slows my work flow. Any suggestions? Can I delete them directly from Photoshop?

  • How do i find the visible area...

    Hi everyone.
    I'm trying to get the size of the visible area of a JFrame, but it keeps returning 0. I use this.contantpane().getsize() . Its because I need a drawing area which occupies a certain area of the contentpane. How can I find the visible area without the toolbar and border around the frame?
    Here is my code:
    public class CgraphForm extends JFrame implements Runnable {
        private int h = 600; // Height of JFrame
        private int w = 800; // Width of JFrame
        private double pad; // Padding edges size [%]
        private JButton btClose = new JButton();
        private CGUI gui;
        private boolean running = true;
        public CgraphForm(CGUI _gui) {
            // Name of frame send to parent (super) which is the JFrame
            super("Temperature");
            gui = _gui; // Used to enable the applet again
            pad = 0.05 * h;
            System.out.println("GraphForm thread started");
           try {
               jbInit();
           } catch (Exception ex) {
               ex.printStackTrace();
        public void run() {
            // Interrupt makes the thread terminate proberly by ending its run method
            while (running) {
                try {
                    Thread.currentThread().sleep(100);
                } catch (InterruptedException ex) {
                    running = false;
        private void jbInit() throws Exception {
            setDefaultCloseOperation(DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE); // Disposes the JFrame when its closed
            this.setSize(w,h);
            this.setLocationRelativeTo(null); // Location af JFrame on screen
            this.addWindowListener(new CgraphForm_this_windowAdapter(this));
            Container contentPane = this.getContentPane();
            Dimension size = contentPane.getSize();
            System.out.println(size);
            contentPane.setLayout(new XYLayout());
            // PENDING graphSize mangler et offset paa bredden, sandsynligvis kanten af framen
            Dimension graphSize = new Dimension( (int) (w - 2 * pad),
                                                 (int) (h - 0.45 * h));
            JPanel panel = new JPanel;
            contentPane.add(panel, new XYConstraints((int)pad,(int)pad,(int)graphSize.getWidth(),(int)graphSize.getHeight()));
            this.setVisible(true);
            btClose.setText("Close window");
            btClose.addActionListener(new CgraphForm_btClose_actionAdapter(this));
            contentPane.add(btClose, new XYConstraints((int)pad, 500, -1, -1));
    }/lars

    I need the size to draw my panel.
    You shouldn't do. Your panel should be able to draw itself without knowing its size. Assuming your panel is just a plain space which you draw on, that means one of two things: either you make its rendering logic sensitive to its own size (which you can detect in the paint() method) or you can assign it a preferred size and then place it in a JScrollPane to ensure that it can always be viewed. Both of these are fairly straightforward solutions.
