I have an iPad 2 that is about 2 years old and is in good shape. I was trying to swipe off an app when the screen went all white. I held down the power button to shut it down but it wont do any thing but go black. When I press the power button it come back all white with no icons and no passcode pad. ThanksTThanks for the suggestion but it turns out that you have to hold down the Home button, the Power button AND the Volume UP button at the same time for several seconds until,the Apple appears To fix the white screen of death. Found that on another help site. It works and boy an I glad. Pass it on.

I have a 21" iMac that only boots as far as a folder icon with a question mark in it. Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?
It usually means your OS has corrupted files. You need to reinstall OS X.
If you are using Snow Leopard:
Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
Do the following:
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install the Combo Updater for the version you prefer from support.apple.com/downloads/.
If you are using Lion:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Unfortunately, we may have to wait until Apple is more forthcoming with information.

When I load itunes it defaults to the store and then I get a Blue Screen. Does anyone know how to change itunes so that it will default to My Music rather than store. I need to be able to do this before I load itunes.

I am playing a game I really enjoy but when I try to make a purchase in the game I get a message that reads "Contact itunes store support to complete this transaction." Due of my accident, I cleaned a lot of idle files that I don't use while tapping "Delete" hotkey until a mistake I made. "Remote Assistance (TCP-In)" file has missing now. I'm looking this file need restore in Window Firewall, but how?

What you are talking about are Firewall rules, not files.
They should be created with Group Policies.
If yes, it can't be deleted from your client until an Administrator delete the rule in the Domain GPO.
You should talk with your system administrators to see if they didn't change something.
Or maybe you have deleted msra.exe in your system32 folder?

How do I fix text from a PDF that has become a paragraph for every line?
When opening a PDF in Illustrator, the text gets all messed up. Every line becomes its own paragraph, making it very difficult to edit because I have to edit every single line individually. Is there a way to get these to all become one paragraph again like it was in the original file? (P.s The original was created in illy, converted to a PDF, and now being worked on in illy again.) I am working in CS6.

My App icon shows that I have one upgrade. When I try to update this app, to my iphoto, it tells me that I have updates available for other accounts and in order to update this application I need to sign in to the account used to purchased it....I only have one account, so I don't know how to update this, it just stays on my desktop showing that I have 1 update on my App icon...
Are you sure that these Apps were not purchased using another Apple ID...
If so, and you only have one ID, then Contact Customer Service...

Note that I have also tried creating several different Apple IDs in the hope this would solve the problem, however it has failed to do so.
That means there is a common email address( or maybe a phone number if one ID is associated with an iPhone with iOS 6). On each device go to Setting>Messages>Send and receive and make sure that the same email address or phone number is not listed on both devices.

I set my phone to update overnight, woke up this morning and it showed an icon to plug the phone into iTunes. Upon plugging in the phone, itunes said the phone needed to be restored first. iTunes downloaded an update and went through the motions, then said that the phone was not eligable.
What do I do? It won't show anything other than the apple logo.Try updating to the latest version of iTunes.
