How do I fix "about:blank" virus or does firefox have to fix something???

in firefox I open web site at USAA or Schwab and click on a link to open another window and it opens as "about:blank" and there is no information. This does not happen on all links and does not occur if I am in Internet Explorer. I use Micro Trend 2012 for security. I did a internet search for "about:blank" and is seems this is a virus of some sort.

Firefox has recently begun opening "New Tab" with a URL called about:blank. Since I've set up popup pages to open in tabs, the about:blank pages pop up in tabs. This happens every time I open FF; if I leave the browser open for several hours it will have several about:blank tabs opened. I've read that "about blank" popups have been associated with a virus or malware and that these tend to redirect users to other pages. However, I have run virus scans and spyware/malware scans and have come up empty and the about:blank popups don't redirect me anywhere else.

I would like to know if anyone has successfully removed about:blank browser hijacker. I have been seeing about:blank show up and keep trying different ways to remove it and it seems to work temporarily but comes back. Expanding on what The Fiend said, the license to play music from a CD is tied to and stays with the CD. So if you sell or give away the CDs, the license to play the music goes with them, at which point you legally no longer have the right to the tracks. You need to keep the CDs if you want to keep the music.
As for transferring the tracks from your iPhone back to your computer so you don't have to re-import all your CDs, check out this post from Zevoneer for some iPod/iPhone media recovery options:

I have been trying to find printer color profiles that Photoshop gives you access to. Normally they are in files of type .icc. However, I did find that a lot of printer profiles are in files of type .profile. Actually files of type .profile contain several different color profiles. It turns out you can open up the contents of the .profile files by right clicking and selecting show package contents. It is another finder window. You can copy the contents to another directory. That is what I needed because of a beta package I am testing that needed the actual printer profile .icc file. It is all working now. However, I am still disappointed that I cannot use Finder to find all of my .icc files on my Macintosh hard drive.

Ok my virus protection, I use Kaspersky, is detecting a packer every time I try to load Farmville on Facebook. This results in the game reloading over and over again. These pop up quickly with about blank in the address but nothing else. The path for this leads to Firefox...C:\Users\Toshiba\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\yipb6gme.default\Cache\C\4D\C1121d01. This was the last one shown in the list. It's a Swf2Swc. Today I have 24 at various times with 2 to 3 each time I tried to load Farmville. When my virus protection stopped them Farmville reloaded so I was never able to actually get into it.

I get a new window or a new tab pop-up that is :About:Blank" when I try to navigate to a link. If I don't close it, it will open it will eventually open some random advertisement website.
