When trying to open iphoto I get the error message "You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete." How do I fix this and get my photo's back?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List. -
After installing the new software to my iPhone 4S , my dream zoo either will not start or when it does it has a blank screen that has a few icons on it that wont work. How can I fix this is it possible to go back and reinstall the older software ?
Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

The icons for links are gone. In their place are hyphenated boxes. After I click on an existing link once the real icon comes back. For Example: I have several bookmark links for Amazon. Those links now have hyphenated boxes as their icons not the Amazon icon. Once I click on an existing link the Amazon icon is activated and replaces the hyphenated boxes. Literally EVERY bookmark / link icon is now a hyphenated box till I click once. How can I fix this? I'm running Firefox 8.0 on windows XP. This problem started this week. Before and After upgrading to firefox 8.0 from 7.xxxx. See screen shot example.jpg i've attached below. Double click to enlarge it for better viewing. Any input welcomed. Not a major problem but I would like to have the icons back.

MaxboydThanks. That solved it. I had my doubts since I wasn't concerned about my lost bookmarks. I was concerned about the broken functionality. In any event, restoring from a backup solved both the functionality and the lost bookmarks. I appreciate the response!

How do I fix flashing question-mark-file-icon issue on reboot?
My Mac Book Air 11" has been a bit strange recently, so I decided that a full clean would be a good idea. I had no important files I wanted to keep, so i went ahead and reinstalled the OS. Apparently that doesn't delete everything, so I did some research. Apparently I have to delete the drive. So I did, using the command-r method. I erased my HD and made a new one, but upon reboot I get this flashing-question-mark-file icon. How do I fix this?
After you erased the drive, did you install the OSX?

How do I fix my iCal? - Missing icons, black pop-ups and an useless to-do list.

I'm new here even but I have been having this problem for some time now (I guess since I have been using and syncing with my iPhone, about 6 months ago). I already seached on the forum but didnt find a an answer that is satisfing.
My problem: In iCal, when I click on an event, the pop-up is almost totally black and therefor I cannot insert new text or select any options for that certain event. Also, some buttons in iCal lost their icons, which makes iCal even harder to use, and it even makes the To Do list useless.
The only answer on this forum that seemed to work for people with a simular problem was deleting iCal from their computer and installing a working version of iCal from another computer. And in this solution rises my problem: I don't have a second Mac, and I don't have any friends who own one.
I was really happy with iCal and I really want to start using it again, but as it seems, I don't see any way of fixing this problem on my own. Would/could somebody here please help me out?

It sounds like the back lighting is either broke, or in some way turned off in the os. If it is still ringing then I would think that it should connect to itunes and be backed up.
If your not using itunes, download it and backup the phone. Then search for instructions on how to do a factory reset. Hopefully its some sort of software glitch and a reset will solve it, but you will loose anything that hasnt been backed up if you dont sync to itunes first. -

I have Roboform 6 and CG supplied by Comcast. Extentions tells me neither one is compatible with FF5.0. What can I do?
On another problem, I upgraded against my better judgment because I like 3.6.17 better, but it kept crashing a couple of times a day. Sometimes I was playing a downloaded game, sometimes on a web site or browsing, it happened during various things. I thought maybe upgrading would help but now some of my programs etc. can't work.I found, by searching around here, how to go back to version 3.6.19(couldn't find 3.6.17)and now Roboform works like a charm again. BUT, when I open my Add-on list, CGPS Extension 1.0 tells me it's not compatible with FF 3.6.19. I'm about to pull my hair out, and I can't really afford to lose any(half bald now). I guess my only recourse is to find and reload version 3.6.17. HELP!!

How can I bring Garageband Tracks into Main Stage as backing tracks?

Export the GB song to disk using the Share menu. Uncheck the "Compress" box in the dialog box to export at full quality.
Drag the resulting file onto the Channel Strip area in MS to aautomatically create a Playback channel.

After upgrading to FF 10.0, my window sizes are not correct. I use a web-based invoicing system and my invoice windows used to open to the size of the invoice. Now, it opens invoices in full screen. I need the invoice windows to open the way the site tells them to open. How do I make that happen again and never change after that?

Update the iPhone using iTunes on your computer.
As far as lack of space on the iPhone, you should regularly be backing up your iPhone and syncing all photos to your computer and deleting them from the Camera Roll on the iPhone. -
I click on one song and another one starts playing. Cover art for one artist shows up on another album. All of my music isn't showing up. Please help. Why is this happening? How can I fix it?

That moves only the iTunes media, not the iTunes library (which is really kinda nebulous).
iTunes library = iTunes folder and all the media, wherever it is located.
The /Music/iTunes/ folder contains the iTunes library.itl file, which keeps track of everything in iTunes.
I do however still have the original MAIN startup drive still in the computer, it's just not the startup.
This is good you still have it.
Try this...
Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library... and select the /iTunes/ folder on the original drive. It should be in /Users/your_user_name/Music/.
Don't mess with anything. We can get it cleared up.

How do I fixA song with an iCloud icon has not been downloaded so cannot be deleted. You can prevent it from showing on the iPhone but you can't delete a song that has not been transferred from your iTunes library or that has not been downloaded from iCloud.
Any chance some of the songs were purchased twice - once in the past from a different album and again recently?
To prevent iCloud songs from appearing on the iPhone, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store and under Show All, turn Music off.
