How do I fix latest FF update which has removed all icons, menus and tool bars and i am left with an unuseable black shape.

I allowed FF to update as normal. When opening FF afterwards I have only a black rectangle where the normal browser window was, and where all the icons, address bars, menus etc etc were there is nothing.. I have tried system restore and re installing, but there is no change. All other programs seem to be OK.

in case this doesn't solve the issue or does not apply to your system, start firefox into safemode '''by pressing the shift key while the application is launching''' & disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

How do I get rid of these things? My finder windows all have, in addition to the normal items, the poster art for an MP4 file I haven't watched in weeks, a question mark and the icon for an app I rarely use. When I normally click on the MP4 it opens the movie in QuickTime, on the question mark it tells me the item cannot be found and the app icon opens the icon. When I left click on any of them, I'm only given the options to make all my tool bar items tiext, text and icons or customize my tool bar but in the customize option there is no way to remove the MP4, question mark or app icon. Why are they there and how can I get rid of them?

Why would you bother to take the time to respond to a question you refuse to answer? If searching relating items had proven useful, I would not have posted my question. Why do you waste your own and everyone else's time posting completely unhelpful responses? What do you get out of that? How do i fix my home button it has completely stopped working after i dropped it and now its frozen on the apple screen?

so yesterday i dropped my iphone and the home key stopped working. i had to turn the phone completely off to change screens and get back to the home page. today i turned it off to get back to the home screen and now it is frozen on the apple screen. its been like this for about an hour or so. i plugged it into the computer and it still hasnt done anything. i try to reset it but of course since the home button isnt working it wont allow me to do so.
does anyone know what to do besides taking it to apple?

You can try the steps recommended in the User Guide. If they don't work bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

I deleted an icon fromtool bar. I then opened up "customize toolbar" to see if I could remove this icon but it was not moving. Is there a way to remove this icon from my customize tool bar?
I am on OS X Yosemite.

Try clicking and holding the icon while holding the command key down. Drag it from the toolbar.

Terence, you seem to be the foremost expert on apeture and iphoto and have helped me many times in the past (thanks). I have a question that you may be able to help with (anyone also feel free to take a stab). I use blogger to upload my photos and host my blog (www.sippingespresso.com). I spend hours organzing and editing photos - namely, I will enhance and sometimes alter an image in Apeture. It always saves over the orginal file (at least for viewing purposes), which is fine by me. But then when I go to upload the photos onto blogger it seems to always pull my dull, original image. Obviously, I want the newer, bright, enhanced photo.
I'm one step away from importing them, dragging them out of iphoto and into Photoshop, then editing the files and dragging them back into iphoto, deleting the originals and uploading from there. There HAS to be a better way - please help!! I've already posted far too many boring images without the beauty of Apeture's "auto enhance".

I assume that the P in the your post is for Processor. The "1801Mocrocode update error" is telling you to update the CPU. There is more then one way to do this. You can do this by downloading and running the HP Support Assistant. click here, to aid in updating drivers and resolving issues. You can update from Device Manager. Open Device Manager, right click on the processor and you should see an option to update. You could also check the manufacturer's site for any updates. For your convenience I am sending documentation on "Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers" click here. I did a Google search on Error 1450, and it seems to be a 'lack of resources' issue within windows. Not related to iTunes.
Maybe shut down all other programs (including the TSR programs you may have loaded) and see if it helps?

Assuming you haven't taken up too much memory from apps to hold the 11 gigs of music...
After you plug in your iPhone, go to the music tab. Make sure you have it set to sync all music.
If apps/books/etc. leave you with less than 11 gig of space for you music, make playlists and sync those instead

What you describe is normal behavior for HDV capture using FCE.
DV captures as one clip or may split the clip if there are timecode breaks on the tape.
HDV always breaks clips at the shot changes using FCE.
HDV cameras can downconvert to DV even if HDV was used to record the footage so it's important to know what the camera outputs during FCE capture.
Maybe this is why you have had mixed results with the differing capture windows?
