How do i fix my sound? Not the usual issues...
Ok I think i've been having problems with my sound since i did the latest update but i'm not sure. There aren't that many apps on my ipad 1, no music nothing crazy. There is no sound when pressing the screen lock button, no keyboard clicks, no sound in apps like youtube, netflix, or embedded videos on safari. When i check the sound settings there is sound when i adjust the volume on the screen, and the side volume buttons do adjust the volume accordingly but when not in settings the volume buttons only bring up a notification with a speaker (volume) icon with no bar under it and it says "Sound Effects" above it.
Also, when i double tap the home button to get to the settings all the way to the left there is no volume control slide. The bar is missing the control. The speaker button is NOT muted but i've tried turning it off and on to no avail.
Here are the things i've tried but have made no difference:
1. Home and lock reset.
2. Settings "reset all settings"
3. Backup and full restore
Has anyone else had this problem?

Use Slide Switch to > Mute BUT the switch is not orange. I've tried changing these settings several times in all different combinations; no change.
Keyboard Clicks and the rest are all set to ON. I've turned them off and on several times; no change.
Double tap home button: I see where the volume adjustment should be but there is no slide to be able to change the volume there.
Actually i figured it out, so random: Next to the volume is the AirPlay button. It was set to Dock Connector rather than Apple TV. When i changed it, the volume came back. How odd, i don't recall ever changing that setting. Seems like everything else is peachy.

Okay so I was listening to music in my office on an external set of speakers, and suddenly my sound cuts. The phone still says music is playing but nothing can be heard through either the built-in speaker or the external speakers. I tried the typical "trick the headphone jack" thing and no luck. When I try to play a saved voicemail and chance the volume, it indicates that the phone is using a bluetooth headset. However, I don't own one and bluetooth is off.
When I try and change the volume at the home screen it says it's in Speaker mode, and when attempting to call somebody and change the volume it claims bluetooth again. I've both rebooted the phone and restored it. I'm doubting any hardware damage because it was working when I was playing music, then it just stopped without touching it.
I'm traveling alot tomorrow and really really need my phone. Please help!!

FredI'm having the same sort of problems. Sometimes the external speakers work and then stops working (eg keyboard sounds, etc). On other occasions when I'm using the phone, the ear speaker cuts out and only by enabling the speaker icon, can I hear the other party with the external speakers. The people I'm speaking with are unaffected and continue to hear me. Sometimes the message "(headphone)" shows on the screen. I didn't have this problem before the recent iPhone software upgrade. Must be software problem. Will reset iPhone work?? My original iPhone that my daughter has with no upgrade doesn't have this problem.

How can i fix a clip when the video and audio are not matching up? I imported the video from a junkdrive in a .VOB format and concerted to a .mov the videos were filmed on a miniDVD recorder.
I would try detaching the audio and the dragging the audio to the left or right until it lines up.

I purchased a song and when downloading there was an error. No error on the other 8 songs just one and now only plays the first 5 seconds of the song. How do you fix this and do the download again so the entire song is downloaded? Thanks!
Delete the song from your library and re-download it from the Purchases section of the iTunes Store.

Hey there,
I was having an intermittent sound issue and discovered it was related to Bluetooth. Whenever my phone was pairing with a Bluetooth device (handset or car) most of the sound was also being transferred to that device and I didn't realize it. Turning off Bluetooth instantly fixed the issue. Or you can increase the volume (select aux/USB source) and you'll hear the missing sounds!

It's either in local folders, as it seem you had been doing, or in icloud. If you go into the mac's Pages and view the icloud files, you can drag on onto another to create a folder. But you can only have folder one level deep, so you can't organize your files/folders like you can on a mac, using nested folder several levels deep.

imovie '11 won't let me share a specific project that is no different from all the other projects. Every time I try to share or export the project it says "quit imovie and reopen" this can't be a memory problem because I have a lot of memory left and it allows me to export other projects but just not this one.
