How do I fix opendiff?

I just remembered FileMerge comes with Dev Tools so I'm posting this here along with the generic question I posted in the Leopard Forum.
I also found out Opendiff is the one in charge of launching FileMerge and it works fine from DreamWeaver. But when I use the "Compare Files" service, i.e. the contextual menu option, FileMerge opens but the open window sits there with its fields empty, and I can't drag the files in because the finder script is still running and won't let me do a thing until I hit escape key.
I installed Developer Tools time ago to get FileMerge but I always used it manually. This is the first time that I actually went to DreamWeaver and set it up correctly. It works fine from DW, though. It's the Finder Service which won't find the files selected in Finder.
How do I fix opendiff or whatever the OS Service uses?
Does it have anything to do with the other issue in which Chrome won't find the files when opened from DW? i.e. DW Uses no "Volume" before the Partition name.

It worked like a charm
A few notes:
The file I created wasn't necessary, and I wasn't allowed to do it loged-in as me (probably I had to do it logged as root). So I created somewhere else and moved it to /bin/ later.
When drag/dropping that file in Automator there was no way to select inputs as parameters. So I figured out what I had to drop in there were actions at the left.
So I found "run shell script" which gave me options to /bin/bash, /bin/csh, etc., but none for just /bin/
So I just selected /bin/sh from the drop down and pasted the code in there. No file required.
It works perfect. Thanks again.
Now, The service not-working is inside FileMerge's plist itself and it shows like this: (again, the image uploader doesn't enable the submit button in chrome! )
Do you think this can give us a clue of what's wrong with FileMerge's original Service? (I'm still wondering whether the missing "Volumes" in the paths is just the tip of the Iceberg that would fix other things in my mac, like the "Browse in Chrome" option in DreamWeaver )

You would need to make sure you're accessing the Computers icon. If you are under the Music icon, that will be accessing the cloud and only show iTunes purchases (unless you subscribe to iTunes Match)

You might be quicker help posting in the LR forum rather than the ACR forum, but I believe the way to fix this is to delete the preview cache.
Find your catalog folder.
Close LR.
Within the catalog folder, delete the FOLDER called Catalog-Name Previews.lrdata
Start LR.

Did you try to open teh fle by double-clicking its icon? If the file was made with an older version of Office, you may get that message. Try opeing PP and, from its "File" menu, see if you can open the ppt. I've foundthat often gets around that message and then yo ucan save the file from the newer version.

TS4097 we have multiple users in our family and multiple devices all sharing one itunes account. i think we are all synced to one icloud account and it is a nightmare....contacts lost, text messags showing up on multiple devises etc. how do we fix this?

We have our family sharing one itunes account. we have 3 iphones, 2 macbook airs, 2 ipads and 1 mac. I am not sure how we even got started on the icloud but somehow we did and everything is a mess. The ipads are showing the text messages, the contacts are all combined, the apps that my duaghter downloads are appearing on all devices. how do we fix this so contacts are not shared, messages are not shared and apps are not automatically synced to all devises?

You have two different issues going on. You are getting each other's messages because you are sharing the Same Apple ID for iMessage. This can be corrected by going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive on add the devices and doing one of the following:
Either uncheck the email address shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on all of your devices; or
If you want to continue to receive iMessages at this email address on one of your devices, on all of the other ones tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in using a different Apple ID (so all devices will be using a different Apple ID for iMessage). Note: you can continue to share an Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores. It does not need to be the same as the ID you are using for iMessage, FaceTime and other services.
The second issue is that you are sharing the same iCloud account on your devices. When you do this any data you sync with the shared iCloud account such as contacts is merged and will appear on all devices connected to the account. To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
First decide which device(s) will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one(s) that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else that you want to keep on the device(s), save these to the camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this device, not from iCloud. The device(s) that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On [iDevice]. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a separate Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. Repeat this process for all the devices that you need to migrate to new accounts.
When finished, to un-merge the data in your accounts you will have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting the other person's contacts from your account, and vice versa).

The problem is probably that the index is corrupt and you need to completely re-create it rather than rebuilding individual mailboxes. I have no idea what the situation really is now after having tinkered with the contents of ~/Library/Mail/, though, so the following procedure may or may not work.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong -- e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

E-mails with attachments, mostly photos, are replicating themselves in my inbox, 100 or more at a time. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

It is an intermittent, but a regular-enough-to-be-really-annoying occurrence........when someone sends an e-mail, to which is attached a photo of some kind, or a picture document, it will replicate in my inbox, sometimes 100 or more copies at a time. I delete all of them, empty the trash, and will also go to the Yahoo web version of my e-mail and delete the offending e-mail from there and empty the trash. Sometimes worked. Now that process isn't working, and this particular e-mail just filled up my inbox with over 100 copies of itself, even after the other steps were taken. Can't get any incoming mail.
This log jam of replicated e-mails prevents incoming and new mail from reaching the inbox.
Needless to say, am not too happy about it. What is causing it, and how do I fix it, other than to go to Outlook for my e-mail client....? :0) This, coupled with the constant "not responding" each time I try to send an e-mail, delete items from the "sent" or inbox folders, is really driving me nuts. We have a crappy internet connection, and that is likely part of it, but the "not responding" is not a new thing with Thunderbird, either.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. I dislike the web version of Yahoo, and don't want to have to switch to that, as it just doesn't meet e-mail needs. Would like to get Thunderbird fixed.

I have not seen your error in either my IE or my chrome. I do note that you are using a "strict" Document Type Declaration.
You might try a transitional DTD, which should be more forgiving than the strict:

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...

If you go to the Now Playing screen, the Repeat control is the the arrowed racetrack icon on the left side right below the scrubber bar. Tap the icon to change. It is white when Repeat is off.
