my daughter synced her 3g in my account accidentally now since ive synced my iphone 4, her contacts and mine are combined and my contacts are a mess . example, my favorites have a few names and numbers but some are gone completely, and in contacts some are gone completely too. VERY Frustrated please help if you can. I use windows xp
I updated to iOS 5.0.1 days ago and didn't receive that notification until just now...
This time I synced new photos I took yesterday, and it gave me the:
"iTunes Sync: 54 items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information"
Perhaps it kicks off when new items get synced.
I've decided to rent a movie yesterday. Once it gets deleted, I'm curious to see if it jumps to 55 items.

A few weeks ago I noticed that everything past 3/8 was an hour ahead, and I assumed once daylight savings time changed it would all jump back. It hasn't, and I don't know how to continue scheduling events or if I should change them all. I read that (a few years ago) the suggestion was give it 24 hours to adjust??
I think this problem is more complex. Background - UK clocks went back at the end of October; the USA went back one week later. I am in the UK and my Outlook calendar contains appointments created in the USA.
Someone in the USA created a recurring appointment before any clocks went back. In Outlook everything is correct. The meeting times are the same each week except for the one week between the two clock changes when, quite correctly, the meeting shows up one hour earlier. When I sync with my iPhone, the meeting shows at the same time every week regardless - this is incorrect.
Someone in the USA created a recurring appointment in the week after the UK clocks went back but before the USA clocks did. Outlook correctly shows the first occurrence as one hour earlier than all the following occurrences. Unfortunately - and this is the really nasty bit - the iPhone shows ALL the appointments one hour earlier than they should be. The only one that is correct is the first one.
This is a nasty bug and something that Apple needs to fix. -

go to settings- messages - send and receive- select the numbers and emails you want to use - deselect the ones you don't need

Can you fix , the fact that If you leave the firefox UPDATE window open for a long period (say 20 minutes in the background), then close all other windows, then choose to download update, it uses this extra time to estimate the download? (Mine said, 12 Hours to start with, but took under 2 minutes!)

it worked the first few times i did it but the next day after i closed out of itunes once, the device only appears when i plug in my phone.Whenever a menu choice is grayed out, that is because you have Restrictions turned on in Settings. Be sure to turn it off.
You are confusing an itunes store account with an icloud account. You two can continue using the same ID for itunes (thus sharing purchased music, apps, etc.), but you really should have separate accounts (different IDs) for icloud, since an account is intended for one user to keep his/her devices in sync.
To create a new icloud account, go to
http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Then go to Settings>icloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account. (have restrictions turned off) That will disconnect the device from the account but will not delete data in icloud or other devices. Then sign in using the new ID. -

The computer that I normally sync my iphone with has crashed and all info lost.... I'm trying to sync and update with my new laptop but I am getting an error meassage that if I continue all purchases, apps etc will be deleted..... How to I do this without losing all my stuff??? The official way to do it is to restore the iTunes library that was on your old computer to your new computer using the backup of your whole system you regularly update. Then you are syncing the phone with the same old library.

About the downgrade method of life hacker, if you're really not good in those things you might actually ruin your pc like my friend who tried it, she lost her wifi on her notebook, i had to help her find the installer of the driver again. this happened after she tried to install that libusb that is needed to run the application for exit recovery mode and other stuff.
Yes iOS 4.1 is out but contacts disappearing? And who knows what more problems it brings. I was even peeking around the iphone 4 forums it seems that they are not doing well either.
Anyway mine is all fine except that im afraid to use wifi or any apps that needs internet connection because everytime i do, my 3gs gets very very hot. I have already done the basic solution suggested by apple (factory reset, start from new iphone) but its still the same.

If you are having problems it is NOT from 4.0; there is something else wrong with your phone. There are plenty of troubleshooting tips in the forum if you look.

NO YOU DO NOT. Those apps in the ribbon are not multitasking, they are suspended. You can ignore them and they won't hurt battery life or memory, unless they are streaming apps like Pandora.
It's amazing. For 3 years people screamed about the fact that the iPhone didn't support multitasking. Now they scream because the phone DOES multitasking. You can't win. -

With Acrobat 9 Pro failing with the OS 10.7 upgrade, I'm hoping that there is a less severe solution.
Since the trigger appears to be 10.7 and may have something to do with the discontinued support of Rosetta, I could be spending a few hours working on a reinstall without a change. Yes, it might work. The "might" is the part that makes me hesitate.
Is anyone else out there on OS 10.7 and running Acrobat 9 Pro? Any issues with anyone else?

So im creating a game in which I collect objects that represent money.After I die in the game i get into the Shop Class in which i can buy different items depending on the money i have. So lets say that after dying i have enough money to get item1 and item2. So i Click on button1 (representing item1) andbutton2 (representing item2) (when clicked their alpha gets to 0.5) and start the game again.Ok so now i have 1 life more and i get more money.But suddenly out of nowhere i feel something strange deep in me, something that i have never felt before -> HUNGER,

After I had satisfied my primal needs I feel the strong urge to play that awesome game of mine again. But when i start the game I start to see some strange things: It seems that I havent got one life moreand neither do i get more money and just to be sure that Im not hallucinating (or that i didnt rememer the lifes i had last time) I die on purpose so the Shop menu shows. So now what I see is making me sad -> button1 and button2 are active and have an alpha of 1( and that means that the game thinks that they were never bought/clicked, that i have never played this game before in my life) So i go crazy (cause all that play before was for nothing and i have to start all over again).
After i calm down, I decide to change my life. 1st BIG change is adding some code into the game. To be more specific: a method that will save the items that i bougth, so when i close the game and start again the things i see will bring joy to my life - >: I still have the items that i bougth last time.
So long story short:
how do i make that when i click a button (it changes its alpha to 0.5)and close the FLA , whenever i open the same FLA, the button that i clicked before will be shown as clicked now(it alpha will be 0.5)

I have also closed iTunes, reset network settings on the iPad, then shut down and restarted the iPad. Still, I end up with greyed out rectangular icons for all the movies I've ever streamed from my Mac Mini to my ipad via my home wireless router.
Again, I have watched all the way to the end of the movie, selcted the movie in iTunes and chosen "mark as watched", and then deleted it in ITunes.
