How do i fix this dual monitor issue?

I'm trying to use two monitors in Premiere Pro: my main monitor for  my timeline and editing, and the second for putting bin windows on. The issue is when I simply try to click to  play a clip, full screen playback comes up on both monitors and basically freezes. I have to unplug the second monitor to get the monitor to respond.
I am up to date, I have tried checking and unchecking the second monitor playback button in Prefrences > Playback menu, I've restarted the program, and tried restarted my computer.

this seems to be a new bug, seen a few posts but no solutions. you can try updating video driver.  try changing the renderer to software only, thats in the menu "project settings".  along with the unchecking of the second monitor in playback preferences, make sure the wrench tool icon menu on the program panel has enable transmit unchecked.  do you have any third party plugins or hardware premiere uses? does this happen instantly or just every so often?  computer specs, win/mac, hardware etc.

    RESET DEVICE
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).

  • How do I fix this printer scaling issue?

    I have a client running an OS X Server with Snow Leopard 10.6. Their office has iMacs and they print a variety of formats (PDF, DWG) from different programs.
    The problem is that the prints are not scaling properly. When set to a certain scale, the measured print is off by 2% or so.
    They also run Windows 7 in a virtualized machine via Parallels, and they are not experiencing the problem through windows.
    The printer in question is an Epson Stylus Photo 1400. It is connected directly to the OS X Server via USB. The printer is then shared via Server Admin using all protocols.
    On a client Mac OS X machine, I add the printer through System Preferences, Printers, and select the printer. When adding, I use the Gutenprint driver for this particular printer because for whatever reason, the standard driver will not print correctly (prints half-way, wrong size, etc.).
    I have tried restarting the Print Server, removing and re-adding the printer with the same driver, updating the Gutenprint drivers from 5.2.3 to 5.2.7. I even deleted a CUPS plist file thinking it would do something but apparently not.
    The prints used to print just fine. I don't know what to try as I am exhausting the research solutions I have found thus far online.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    In addition to Matt's suggestions, check what driver is being used on the server. If the Epson driver is being used on the server but the clients are having to use Gutenprint as you have mentioned, then this can also cause scaling issues. So if you can create the server queue using the Gutenprint driver (for some printers this can be tricky) then this can help. And with this queue using the Gutenprint driver I would then try printing a PDF directly from the OS X server to see if the same scaling issue occurs. If the server prints without the 2% reduction then you can concentrate on the client.
    And for the client, as a test, I would also try connecting the printer directly to a client Mac via USB and also see if the same scaling issue occurs. But ensure you do use the settings Matt has suggested, because the scale to fit does catch out a lot of users.

    May I ask what make and model Droid do you have? Based on the error message that you posted, it appears that you have an Android device. I would also like to add some troubleshooting steps in addition to what my co-worker, DaisyP, have listed in her post.
    Verify signal strength on the device.
    Turn off bluetooth and wifi in the Settings menu.
    Erased all long threaded text messages from the text message inbox.
    Verify how much device memory is available on the device.
    Remove any 3rd party messaging apps and/or task killers from the phone.
    Delete and re-add your sister's contact information in the phone, power cycle the device, and re-add her to the contacts.
    Update roaming on the device by calling *228 and selecting option 2. (3G phones only)
    Verify that the device has the current software.
    Perform factory reset on the device.
    The last troubleshooting step is recommended as a last resort. This is because it does erase all of the information out of the device. If you decide to implement the reset then I encourage to have your contacts and calendar entries backed up prior to the erase. Contacts can be saved using Backup Assistant and calendar entries can be archived on your Gmail account. If you have any additional questions or concerns then feel free to reply to this message for more help.

    Run Verify/Repair Disk.
    You should have at least 15% free space available on your HD; if not, need to delete some things.
    You may need more RAM. One way to get an idea whether more RAM will help or not, is to check Page outs and Swap used. First, use your Mac as you normally would, the longer the better (checking this right after starting up isn’t likely to show you anything). After you’ve used your Mac for awhile (again, the longer the better), go to Applications > Utilities > open Activity Monitor > in the top menu at right, select All Processes in the drop down menu > near the bottom of the window click on System Memory. If Page outs is more that about 10% of Page ins, and/or Swap used is large, chances are good that adding RAM will help. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1342

    Sylonious, did you manage to sort this problem out? I have been experiencing similar problems. I think my problem was because I had many different versions of JDKs. I have done a complete re-install. I would be really grateful to you (and anyone else) for help with this problem.
    I have re-installed JSDK1.4.2_03, set the "path" variable to "C:\JSDK1.4.2_03".
    When I compile using "javac" I get an error saying "javac" is not recognised.
    When I compile using "C:\j2sdk1.4.2_03\bin\javac Freq.java" no error is thrown.
    Every time I try to run a java file, I always get the NoClassDefFound error. When run with the -verbose option, files are loaded from C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin - is this correct?
    I have removed all previous references to java in the registry editor.
    Please help !

    I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

    Links should not create any problems in Keynote.  If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
    Try this repair for Keynote,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:
    1 
    delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application
    2 
    empty the trash:  Finder > Empty Trash
    3 
    Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
    When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.

    Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive
    5 
    when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click  repair disc permissions
    6 
    when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

    install Keynote from the Mac App Store

    Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?

    They said I need to change my settings to NAT settings. I haven't been able to figure out or find anything. I have also spoken to Apple Support on the phone for hours without being able to figure out how to do this ( i don't think he knew much either lol.)     Drew how is that even possible? I use gift cards all the time, any time I've had insufficient funds iTunes will not allow the purchase, sights Insufficient funds and rejects the purchase. Any time I log into my account the money in that account appears in the upper left corner. If you're not seeing that then you have other issues. Anyway... Kneil is right you should be able to rip CDs you own to your iTunes library (regardless of your money matters with iTunes), then depending on how you set up the music you need to add it to your playlist and then sync it to your iPod. Did imported music ever work? How are you ripping or importing the music to iTunes? Are you using a compatible format?
    Something else to look at-- It's possible your cable is defective, have you tried a new or different cable? Some of what your describing is a bad cable issue. Good luck, Cheers.

    Thanks Jeff, I was not aware that a template could be multi-page.  (All the existing templates were 1 page)
    But it worked, saving me some steps.  When I was finished I renamed the document, and locked it.
    Then tried to save it but  could not because it was locked.  I closed it, went to my Spread Sheet Folder ,
    to find it, it was not there.  The Finder could not find it either.
    So I start over again.
    I opened up Numbers and it showed my personal Numbers template folder, it contained both my new 
    original 4 page template and the vanished saved document!
    I tried to delete the template containing these document data and could not - I had to go to the Library/Application Support/Numbers to physically remove it from this folder. Then I started over again.  I Finally found out how to make it work: I can now "save as", and then lock, and it will go to place where I want it to be saved and locked.
    The secret is: Click on the document title in the menu bar, and it opens up  "Save as...", which works the same as in OS 10.4.11, and you can pick the place you want for saving.  Once done that, you can then lock the document in the same pull down menu, and then close it.
    I also found later that I can delete a template from its folder, by letting Numbers open the templates,
    clicking on the one I want to remove, then go to the "Numbers Menu/File/Move to...", select "Desktop"
    and from there the selected template can then be thrown into the Trash from there.
    It appears now that the real fault of the Numbers software is that the "Save as" command is not available in the "Edit" or "File" pull-down menus, but hidden behind the title of the document.
