How do I fix this error response?

When I bought my new Macbook Pro, replacing my old Macbook Pro, I can't open alot of documents now that I used to be able to before and they're just .doc documents.  I get this error response:
"You can't open the application Microsoft Word because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

You have Word 2004.  Update to Office 2011.
In the meantime, open Text Edit in your Applications Folder and in Preferences, check RICH TEXT.
Now you should be able to open your formatted .doc documents.

    ThANK YOU!!!

    Mail Help has some articles devoted to sending problems, e.g. “I can't send email” or “I can't send email because the connection to the server on port 25 timed out”. You may want to take a look at them in case there is something there that applies to you.
    Something that usually works if you’re trying to use an outgoing (SMTP) server different from the one provided by your ISP (and in the case of .Mac in particular) is changing the outgoing server port to 587 instead of 25 in Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Server Settings.

    Hi Reynel,
    I see that you have posted this query on stack overflow.
    I would like to involve our SQL experts in this topic and get the best solution.
    As of now to my knowledge @@TOTAL_WRITE is not supported on SQL Azure.
    In the meantime, you can refer the below links for migrating your database from on-prem to Azure.

    How do you fix this error?  Can't access photos----" Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable"

    Try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If you can create and use a new library then your current library is damaged.
    If that's the case make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
    Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
    Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #2
    Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
    Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
    Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
    In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
    Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • How do I fix this error?     $1.#R

    A customer of mine said he kept getting a calculated error of    $1.#R   in the results field on our on-line order form.  I checked it out and the field will accept any total up to $999.99 correctly, but gives the error shown directly below when the order total exceeds $999.99.  This would mostly happen in the GRAND TOTAL field.
    Here is the error reported:
    Warning: JavaScript Window -
    The value entered does not match the format of the field [ N41GT ]
    Note that field N41GT is the Grand Total amount owed.
    This order form can be downloaded at this link:
    https://acrobat.com/app.html#d=KiHIpb8n*KM*Zkkx4KdTjg
    Until I can fix this, my customers with large orders have to send me multiple order forms to place their orders, or print out the on-line order form and fill it out by hand.
    Here is the validation script:
    if(event.value == 0) {
    event.value = ""; // null the value
    AFNumber_Format(2, 0, 0, 0, "", true); // reset format to number only;
    } else {
    AFNumber_Format(2, 0, 0, 0, "$", true); // use currency symbol;
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    George,
    This fix worked incredibly well!
    I appreciate your help as I venture deeper and deeper into Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
    Thanks again!

  • How do I fix this error, Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Modal session requires modal window'?

         I have been trying to start up my Batman: Arkham City game recently and it says that it cannot open and gives me this error;
                   "Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistancyException', reason: 'Model session requires model window'"
         I have played the game for about 13 hours before this error started to pop up and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to fix it.  Any information would be greatly appreaciated.

    Yesterday I had the same problem.
    I installed the game and played for five hours with no problem but in the last execution my iMac show me that error. I tried to uninstall and install the game again but always show me the error. I did the same with the Steam client with no solution.
    Finally I fixed the error deleting a folder.
    Go to Macintosh HD/Users/[username]/Library/Caches/com.feralinteractive.bmac
    and delete the folder named "com.plausiblelabs.crashreporter.data"
    Try to launch the game again.
    Good luck.
