How do I format a second line (and subsequent lines) of text in a form field?

For example, I don't want this:

This is possible for a user to configure if the field is set up to allow rich text formatting. Press Ctrl+E to bring up the Properties bar:

If you want a total at any group-level, go to the particular group in the data model, insert a summary column in the group, and select
Reset At > appropriate Group Name
For report level summaries, you must create the summary column outside of all groups.

Really frustrating to find the first time but simple once you figure it out. I think I spent hours trying to find this. Simply right click on a blank spot in the toolbar up top and select Properties Bar. There it is! The available properties will change depending on whether you have the content (text) selected or the box itself.
I haven't found a way yet to make it show up as a regular part of the toolbar. It floats around and gets in the way so I don't leave it on and then have to open it again when I need it. Again - frustrating; but at least it's there!

How do I add a second line at home?

I've been trying to find the answer to this question online and have struck out. Verizon's website says that to add a second line at home you can log into your account, go to "My Profile," click on "Lines & Accounts," and then click on "Add Second Line" (or something like that....unfortunately today Verizon's online support system is claiming that online support is not offered in Virginia). When I go to "Lines & Accounts," however, it does not give me the option to add a line—it will only allow me either to de-register my current phone number from online account access or to register another billing number for online access.
At the moment I am not certain I actually want to order the second line—I just want to price it out to determine whether I would rather get a second line or switch to VOIP service with dry loop DSL. This is why I'd rather run through my options online instead of having to call customer service—it's easier and more efficient to be able to view the options on the screen instead of having to take notes while talking to someone.
Does anyone know if there is a way to price this out online? Verizon's site has been the target of much profanity from me due to the apparent absence of this feature and due to this utterly ASININE statement that appears when I try to get online support: "Select a Service for Online Help/Verizon does not offer this service in Virginia. You can search or browse Phone Support for the services." I mean, come on, is that some sort of joke??!!
(I use a Bang & Olufsen two-line cordless phone system tied to a BeoLine base unit, and I've already confirmed that the phone jack into which the BeoLine is plugged is indeed wired for two lines. So that's not an issue.)

How do I format my new SSD and get my computer to read it?

I installed a new Samsung SSD with SATA III PCIe connector in my 2006 Mac Pro 1,1 2.66Ghz today.
It's showing up in Disk Utility as being there, but it says it's unformatted, and I can't access it from the desktop.
How to I get the computer to register it in Disk Utility?

Since it is showing up in Disk Utility, try selecting it, then clicking the Partition button, choosing GUID partition table as an Option and Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as the format.

How can I format my primary HD and reinstall Lion?

So my iMac has been running very slowly lately, and I've had some tech issues (see the fruitless help thread at http://hintsforums.macworld.com/showthread.php?p=634569), so I'm tempted to just wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall Lion.
I have a backup HD, so I should have sufficient hardware to do this. I just have a couple questions about the mechanics:
1. How do I format my primary hard drive? I assume this is straightforward.
2. Is it possible to reinstall Lion without an install CD? I downloaded Lion off the App Store, and I'd hate to think that because of that I'm stuck with the installation I have.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, i would like to know how do i display all the text (which may consist of more than 1 line) that i have extracted using a READ_TEXT FM in my print program? Once the text has been extracted and displayed, i would like the proceeding lines of text (if there are more than 1 line) to begin at a certain margin (i have defined a paragraph format as 6.2cm in tab option).

How can I add a third line of text to a title?

I am making a music video for my highschool students to teach about recycling and I want to add a title to the bottom with the song title, the name of the ficticious band and the ficticious record label.
I have tried to add the third line of text, but I can't seem to figure out how. the title needs to be superimposed on the actual video, so adding in a clip created in photoshop or something won't work. Think about the titles you'd see at the begginning and end of a music video, and that's pretty much what I am going for.
Any suggestions?

I am using application express. I want to get a random number and letter for a text field but not sure how to do this. Say I have a licence form and I want to get the licence number automatically when user wants to create a new licence and it needs to be unique. The format I am looking for is - HQ2631 something like this.
I am thinking I have to create a trigger but not sure how to go about this....

Something to play with:
Your method can generate 26 * 26 * 10000 different licence_ids
Generating one million ids takes 20 seconds but produces between 70000 and 80000 duplicates and is rapidly getting worse (if that is something over 7%, doubling the ids generated that grows to something under 30%)
Just see if you can live with that.

How do I send images in-line in text eMails?

Using TB 24.6.0 and sending eMails in text format (not HTML) I am unable to add images (J-pegs) in-line. How do I overcome this problem or it is not actually possible in TB?

Turnpike was a world leader developed in the 1990s and taken over by Demon. Unfortunately Demon managed to loose their programming expertise with the result that they were unable to develop it to keep up with more recent developments. They pulled the plug in the spring of 2013.

Demon recommended TB and Microsoft. Guess I will have to try sending as HTML but many of my customers are strictly plain text only with HTML filtered out - It's a security thing.

How do I add space between lines of text in the same cell on Numbers 3.0.1

I just updated to Mavericks 10.9. In numbers, I used to be able to uncheck a box in the inspector that would make it so the Return key did not move to the next cell, but instead allowed me to add more space between lines of text in the same cell.
How can I do this in the new version of numbers?

Numbers 3 is a complete rewrite of the application. This preference option hasn't (yet) been included, but N3 is very much a 'work in progress. A word to Apple via Provide Numbers Feedback asking to have this option included in Numbers 3 might be a useful step. You'll find Provide Numbers Feedback in the Numbers menu in Numbers.

May be you are using these statements in wrong text elements in PO sapscript.
Keep in mind that &T166P-TXNAM&, &T166P-TDOBJECT&, &T166P-TDID&.... are variables and there values are filled by sapscript calling program.
Now it is possible that in your case you are putting this include statement in wrong text element. To check this you can print the variables just before include statement to make sure that values are correctly populated such as
&TTXIT-TDTEXT&
Printing Values: &T166P-TXNAM&, &T166P-TDOBJECT&, &T166P-TDID&
INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID& LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PARAGRAPH IX
If the values are not populated, you may want to populate these manually by calling an abap routine before include statement and in that abap routine you can populate values for TDOBJECT, ID, and other relevant fields.

Publishing a text box to be multiple lines of text in SharePoint Form Library

I have some text boxes on an InfoPath form which is then published to a SharePoint form library. However, when the form creates columns in the form library, some of the text boxes are being published as Single Line of Text which then cuts off some of the
text as users can type more the 255 characters in the text box.
My question is how can I make sure that the form publishes the field as a multiple line of text instead? Some of the boxes did this by default but there are others that did not and I am missing text on them.

When you add the control to the form, choose the Multi Line of text option instead of the single line of text option, if you are unsure, when you add the control to the form, right click it and select properties, from here you can change the data type
from single line of text to multi line of text.

Using javascript to save a pdf to a different directory and generating a new filename based on form fields in the document.

I have built the following script in an attempt to create a submit button that will automatically save the document in a different directory on my computer. It will also use the form field data "customer" and "date" to generate the filename. I printed out the variable myPath and it looks like it printed the correct string. I keep getting the following error:

any help would be much appreciated.

"path" is a keyword within a PDF you should not use keywords as a name for any other object as a general rule.
Have you checked the PDF Reference to see how to create a file path name within a PDF, 3.10.1 File Specification Strings page 118?
Did you carefully read the Acrobat JavaScript Reference for the saveAs method?
