How to I format and print an envelope on pages on my ipad? I use pages on my computer and it has an envelope template but the ipad pages doesn't seem to.

Pages for iOS does not have a template for envelopes or for landscape documents. Go to this website and you will find a number of useful templates that you can download for Pages.

I also have an app called Templates for Pages Pro that has a whole bunch of templates. However, in the brief time that I have used it, I haven't seem an envelopes template, but you can take a look at it anyway since it has quite a few other useful templates in it.

You can email them to yourself and then open them in Pages by using the "open in" option in the mail app when you are viewing the attachment, you can use DropBox, or you can use iOS file sharing.
Connect the iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Click on your iPad's name on the left side of iTunes under "Devices" in order to select it. Click on the Apps Tab in the iTunes window on the right. Find the Pages App in the list of File Sharing apps under the main list of apps and click on it. Then drag the files from your desktop that you want to move into the document sharing window on the right - next to the the Pages app. You can also use the Add button and navigate to the documents that way to select them. Sync your iPad if you choose to do so and then eject it when the sync completes.
Launch the Pages app and then click on the + in the upper left corner to add a document. Select - Copy from iTunes and a window will pop up with a list of all of the documents that you dragged into the window on the computer when the iPad was connected to iTunes. Select the document from there.

Pages '09 offered two types of documents.
Word processing documents included a text layer, and consisted of sections made up of multiple pages. If no section breaks were inserted, a fifty page document could consist of a single section. Text could be placed directly into the text layer, and Objects could be placed on the page as Floating Objects, independent of the text, and able to make text flow around themselves, or could be placed as Inline Objects, inserted into the line of text running from beginning to end of the document, and moving with the text as it was edited.
In a Page Layout document, each page was a single section. There was no text layer, so only objects could be placed on the page. Any text had to be contained in a Text box or in a Shape. Unless grouped, each object was independent of the others.
Changing your images from Floating to Inline objects may be the key to your document rearranging issues. They can be changed back to Floating after being moved to theor new locations.

In Safari, (the web browser), there are specific arrows to go back and forward through website pages.
In other Apps, it will depend on how the App is built.
As to Yahoo Mai it depends on where you are viewing the email. If you are using the Mail App, then you don't log out. The Mail accounts in the Mail App are always there.
If you are using the Yahoo App, You can Tap on the folder at the top, then on your account/name, and then on Sign Out.

TO make a long story short, a thunderstorm fried my desktop iMac which was the computer I was sharing my Pages documents with. I don't have an AirPrint compatible printer and I need to be able to print documents that I create in Pages. Since it might be 6 months or more before we can replace the old computer, I would like to use DropBox to share files between my windows computers and the ones at where I volunteer. I was told that Pages for the iPad was compatible so how can I make this work for me?

I would like to use Pages to prepare envelopes addressed to the addressee in a business letter. There is no mention of envelope preparation in the HELP page. Please comment on this.

Pages has Envelope templates, but not the kind of integration that Word has. The easiest way to address an envelope is to use AddressBook. Select the Contact you want to print an envelope for and choose the envelope option in the AddressBook Print window. I assume that this person you are writing to is in your AddressBook, so it's no big deal to switch to AddressBook, choose the contact and Print. If the addressee isn't a Contact yet, it would be a good time to make the addition.

How do I create envelopes in Pages using Numbers as the source?

I've done this successfully before back in 2011 when I was sending out Holiday Cards. Now I go in there today looking to use the same envelope template and an updated (not everybody lives in the same location) Numbers spreadsheet and I keep getting..."Please select a numbers document that has one or more named header columns and one or more rows of data". The numbers file has 6 header columns (FN, LN, Address, City, State & Zip) and 77 rows of data. I've tried to recreate the file under a different name, I've deleted and reinserted the header columns, etc and nothing has worked. I'm now at the point where I'm toying with the idea of pulling the plug on the Holiday Card all together unless somebody could save the day. PS...their is a holiday card in it for you

Fair enough...it sounds like the Holiday cards will be put on pause until 2014.
On a different note, I'm noticing all sorts of issues with the OS...are you finding that Mavericks is less stable than prior versions of the OS? The entire reason I went away from Windows based PC's was because of the instability of the OS and now I'm finding that the stability of the Apple OS is starting to follow the same path.

Just activated the eprint app on my IPad. It found my HP Officejet 4500 Wireless printer but the formatting is wrong when printing an email. Is there a solution?

How do I print only selected pages from my ipad?

Whenever I print my emails and search on the web, the only option I see is "PRINT" , to start printing.
I don't seem to see any option what pages that I want to print.
I'm waisting lots of paper and ink.

Yiann is right. The AirPrint driver is not smart enough to do half a print job. Nif you only want a single page, copy and paste it to a document and print that.
I bet in a year we will have more control, but it is not there now.

If you haven't already done this, go to System Preferences > Keyboard and check "Show Keyboard and Character Viewers in Menu Bar."
Then click on the symbol in the Menu Bar, choose "Show Character Viewer", and type "Superscript" into the search field.
That will result in the following display. You can copy and paste the squared symbol (highlighted) from there. The price - free!
