How do I get 10.9/Mail to recognize groups in my contacts list?

Formerly (before Maverick) typing the name of group created in Contacts brought the names therein into the "To" field. No longer working for me. Any ideas?

Cannot remember for sure but I think in Mavericks after entering the group name I hit the space bar and then right double click the bcc line and all names appear on the "to" line. However, just entering the group name by itself is enough to send email to all without showing the names.

well i dont know if this is what you want but you could says it is a birthday and it will tell you when it is, it can remind you, and even tell you what number (i.e. 23rd anniversary)
- actually nevermind that wont work because it will always say birthday and you cant have two birthdays scheduled for the same person. i do not think that is possible without actually putting it in calendar to repeat every year and just telling you. Sorry.

My old Motorolla and LG phones had a setting to speak the caller id before ringing. It took the names from the contact list or if not there would just call out the phone number and then go to the ringtone. Does the Iphone 4 not have this setting? I can't believe this "smart phone" which does just about everything would not have this function. What am I missing here?

I do have an iPhone 4S. It does not provide a talking caller ID. I too I'm surprised that such a feature is not on the iPhone. There seems to be an "app" for just about everything, but I've yet to find one that does this very simple function. There are some apps out there that do provide a form of caller ID, but they seem to require too much setting up for something so simple. I do have a work a round, but it is a poor subsitute for what we are both looking for. I have set different ringtones for some people in my contact list, so when I hear the tone, I do know who is calling. However, if you have a great deal of contacts, this method really would not work.

I will address your second question.
First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs. If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option. Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone.

I Finally resolved my problem after much research. On my I pad 4 with retina in the field under settings there is a list to choose from-- ex. Aol,Google, yahoo, etc. I chose other and entered att. Used pw and bingo! Problem resolved. It is somewhat configured a little different; but at least I can get all of my 500 e mails.
apple takes IMAP but this is under pop And at least my persistence paid off. You would think something so simple would be informative to us in a better way.

You can use a different email account, but it will not appear on icloud.com as iCoud only hosts iCloud email. Just add your account to the email client on your PC as you would any other email account. To add the account on your iOS devices (iPhone), go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account, choose your provider and provide your account details.
You can't redownload purchased ringtones from iCloud for free but you can sync them to your 5c using iTunes. To do so, connect your iPhone 4 to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Then go to the Tones folder of your iTunes library and confirm that the ringtones appear there. (If you don't see the Tones folder, go to Edit>Preferences>General and make sure Tones is checked in the Show options.)
Then connect your 5c to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Tones folder of your iTunes sync settings, then check Sync Tones and click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.

Your sidekick may be relaying through a different server. If its on AT&T, it could be using cwmx.com for outgoing. However, cwmx.com only works for AT&T/Cingular EDGE customers. When on Wi-fi it won't allow you to send through it.
Many internet providers, but not all, provide an authenticating SMTP server to use when travelling. If you configured your outgoing server to use the email providers authenticating SMTP server information on a port different from port 25, you will be able to use it on most networks. Some wireless networks filter a wider range of ports, such as some work places.

You can open your second profile which is no ability of receiving new mail and export all of messages/contacts/calendar item to a PST file and save it somewhere.
Then open the first profile, import the privious PST file into this profile to solve the problem.
Using .pst files in Microsoft Outlook is good way to transfer the data, here is some information how to manage the PST file for your reference.

It's a bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
Your signature says you are using 10.3.9 - is this correct? (If it isn't please amend it to prevent confusion).
Lion 10.7.2 is required for full iCloud functions. If you migrated using the 'email only' method you may be able to get your email on older systems with the old MobileMe settings. Failing that, you can set Mail up manually:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Tiger
If you really are using Leopard try the Tiger instructions, but I don't know if they will work.

Settings / mail contacts and calendars - will be your only mail and push options. - i notice you may need to open mail app for new emails to be pushed to your device- other than that how ever long you have it set (every 15 minutes for example) is how often it will check for new emails for ya!
