How do I get 1920x1080 from iMac7,1?
Current setup...
iMac7,1 connected to a Panasonic TCL42E50 using an Apple display port to VGA adaptor.
NOTE: I HAVE CONFIRMED IN THE USER MANUAL THAT THIS TV WILL DO 1920x1080
My iMac specs...
Mac OS X 10.7.4 (11E53)
Model Identifier: iMac7,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
ATI,RadeonHD2600
I spent several hours on this and still can't get 1920x1080 res to display on my Panasonic 42". So is this an iMac problem? an adaptor problem? or TV problem? The Radeon 2600 graphics card is supposed to be able to display 1920x1080.
1920x1080 isn't an option.
I installed SwitchRezX and created a custom resolution and the highest it will accept is 1366x768. Anything higher than that, the Panasonic 42" won't accept the signal and the iMac display goes back to it's default res of 1680x1050.
I'd like to know if anyone who owns an iMac7,1 that has successfully output 1920x1080 and how you did it. I've heard everything from firmware issues in the Apple display adaptor to Apple blocking 1920x1080 on non-Apple displays (which I highly doubt Apple would do that) I just baught this adaptor so surely it's not a firmware issue.
Thanks for the link...was able to read up and learn the limits of a VGA connection.
So I think I understand the issue. After talking to Panasonic, they told me that my model only supports up to 1366x768 when using a VGA connection and they said to use the HDMI to get full 1080p quality. So, the user's manuel was misleading because it doesn't specify the limitations of the VGA port.
I'm still unsure if the iMac7,1 supports HDMI 1080p. I haven't been able to find an Apple mini-DVI to HDMI adaptor, but I did find an Apple mini-DVI to DVI adaptor that I could plug in a DVI to HDMI cable. Doing it this way I'm not sure if it would even be true 1080p even though the video card in the iMac7,1 can handle the resolution on a VGA connection. The apple specs say that the iMac7,1 supports external display via DVI up to 1920x1200 so if I converted that over to HDMI not sure if that would look right. I think I will shift my attention to my newer MacBook Pro which does suppot HDMI.

How can I get values from listbox?
Hi all,
I need to get price values from Price List (Inventory -> Item Master Data screen). It's important to get values from field 'Price' BEFORE item will be added/updated.
How can I get values from Pricelist listbox?
Thanks for any suggestions or short sample code.
Best regards,
AndyHi Andy
Here is som sample code that will get the description of the price list and also the price that is displaying at the time. The item master must be open for this snippet of code
Public Sub GetItemPriceFromOpenWindow()
'this is assuming item master is open
Dim oEdit As SAPbouiCOM.EditText
oEdit = SBO_Application.Forms.GetForm("150", 1).Items.Item("34").Specific
SBO_Application.MessageBox(oEdit.Value)
Dim oCmb As SAPbouiCOM.ComboBox
oCmb = SBO_Application.Forms.GetForm("150", 1).Items.Item("24").Specific
SBO_Application.MessageBox(oCmb.Selected.Description)

how do you get content from one ipod to the new one? my content is on an external hard drive not on my pc and i have run out of space on my 120gb classic. can you get old ipod content to new? my itunes has only got short cuts, the real content is on an external drive? can this be done?? please help
If the content is on an external drive, but your library knows where to find it, then it should all work. Connect your device, make some selections for what to put on it, and sync. If, on the other hand, your current iPod is the only place holding some of your media then see this user tip: Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

As long as they are already ticked in your iTunes then yes. Just to check do a sync and as long as everything stays the same you are good to go.

When I use Home Sharing, I can see the library I want to copy under Shared, but I can't get it save on the computer under the regular library. I go to edit and "select all" but there is no import button that is in the right hand corner. Also, it will not let me click and drag the music. How do I get it from one computer to the other?
Since both computers are connected via the network, you could simply copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from one computer to another via the network.
If both computers are running Windows, use the Easy File Transfer Utility built into Windows to move iTunes and all other user media/data. -

HT203167 lost my hard drive how can i get songs from ipod back to new computer
I lost my hard drive and want to get my music back on my new computer. How can I get songs from my ipod to my computer? I am afraid to sync it and losing what is on my ipod. Any help would be appreciated.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod: File>Transfer Purchases -

Yes, there are VIs for acquiring data from Sound cards. And examples too. If you don't have LabVIEW yet, do a search on NI's site for example VIs.

How do I get songs from iPod(video) to iTunes(7 and using VISTA).
How do I get songs from iPod(video) to iTunes(i'm using iTunes7 and Vista).
I don't have the disc, cause i can't find it. But my computer downloaded the ipod, it just cant find the files?
i've been looking through the topics for the past hour and none of them helped. Maybe i'm stupid i dont really know, but i've restored my old computer a couple times and i found a post and it helped both times. now i can't find it anymore.
THIS IS THE ONE I'VE BEEN SEEING AND IT DOESN'T HELP ME ONE BIT:
Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

SharePod Windows Only
iPodRip Mac & Windows
YamiPod Mac and Windows

iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.
Can someone give me a link, or tell me one that shows step by step. Here is a way of doing it, for another take on this, search the forum for posts by Zevoneer.
Copy from iPod to PC
It is important not to allow your iPod to sync with an empty library. If it is set to synchronise automatically you will get a message saying your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to sync – it is important to press cancel as syncing with an empty library erases all music from your iPod.
You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.

If you have an iPod with iTunes Store purchases on it, you can use it to copy your purchases to other authorized computers.
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iTunesWin/7.3/en/2586win.html
However this is not allowed for other music.
This MacMuse tip tells you how to copy music from your iPod using Windows Explorer, but it is a bit fiddly:

Otherwise you can use third party software to manage the transfer, there are a variety of programs out there, some free and some that will copy ratings and counts as well as the music files. Here is a selection, check them out and see what suits you.

How can I get music from old mac to new mac please?
Can't seem to make Migration Assistant work. Doesn't ask about or transfer files.I just migrated into a new MBP from an old one.
It did not bring the music over. Apple's instructions are to use the Home Sharing feature of iTunes.
Open iTunes on your old Mac. Select Home Sharing under the Advanced menu. Sign in. Do the same on your new computer. Then when the library appears under Home Sharing on the left-hand panel on your new computer's iTunes, you can select all and Add To Library.
That's what Apple says, anyway. -
