How do I get 2 points to line up exactly? CS4

Screenshot below. I have to shapes and I want the points to line up perfectly, but I dont want to mess up the angles on my shapes, so I need to position the violet outlined triangle somehow where the top point lines up with the top point of the pink-outlined rectangle

I can get them to align to the top properly, but getting the 2 points to align horizontally (left/right) is not as easy because the lengths are not the same and they wont center align.
When they are aligned to the top, I presume the bluish top should end up at a certain desired distance to the right of the reddish one. If so, you may use the Direct Selection Tool to determine their present distance (which you may write down), switch to the Selection Tool and then move the entire shape with the bluish top (Object>Transform>Move horizontally by the difference (desired distance - present distance) letting Illy do the actual calculation.

When you have the browser open (Internet Explorer) then press the Alt key on the keyboard. It should show you the file options at the top..Then uncheck work offline and check..
Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

How do I get "Vanishing Point" to work properly on iMac Retina 5k? When I "render grid to photoshop" the grid is not in right place and scale. I'm using latest version of CC.

OMG! What a load of crap and thank you for posting this. I spent 3 solid hours to do something that I have done hundreds of times before, apply a Vanishing Point filter. I kept thinking I had some non-default setting on and was literally screaming at my new iMac. I NEVER thought it would be the cause. It was actually easier to reinstall CS5 on an older Mac and just do the stuff I needed. This is crazy. I fully get why Adobe doesn't support this yet but to not make a huge deal out of it so people know about it is just wrong. When I searched for Vanishing Point on the Forums, this thread showed almost the bottom of the first page. It should be stuck to the top until they fix it.

Hey guys, I suscribed to BT infinity two months ago and I've noticed that everytime it rains my internet is knocked offline. Yesterday my area was battered with rain and wind all day and my internet disconnected 6 times an hour as the light kept going orange showing the annoying router walkthrough page. I've located the source where the wire is exposed and its at the top of the house:
Now I flagged this up to BT two days ago via the online chat page that was sent through twitter but I've not recieived a reply after 48 hours. DLM also has kicked in reducing my speed from 78mbps to 74mbps. I know that from reading these forums, once the speed goes down it stays down forever. I'm now considering turning off the HH5 to stop the speed plummeting even more until this is fixed. Now the question is if I were to replace the whole line, is it possible for BT to restore the speed back to 78mbps? And how do I go about changing the line? Also I believe as it is outside the demarcation point, it's upto BT to fix it and I should not be charged for it?

Thought I'd give you guys an update, I tweeted BT a few days ago and filled in the online form. They finally rang me back today and it was a fella from Ireland! He saw on the system that I had many intermittent line faults and broadband kept knocking out so I'm having an engineer in first thing Monday morning!
So a word of advice guys, best thing to do is use Twitter and fill in the form and wait for them to get back to you. I don't want to sound racist in any way but it's good to speak to someone who can speak and listen to in English fluently albeit in an Irish accent
I'll let you guys know of any developments and whether my dlm will be resetted once the issue is fixed. It's so sad seeing my speeds drop from 76mb to 54mb over two days of heavy rain
Oh and Btw one question for the pros, my master socket is backwired and I only found this out after my BT infinity installation. To be honest it's not backwired, just that it's crimped through to the extension which was converted into a master rendering my original master defunct. Could I tell the openreach guy to fix that as well or would I be charged for it as it's not a priority to be fixed?

How do I get rid of "shadow lines" in Firefox, (but not Safari)

I'm designing a website in iWeb for the first time and am having a slight problem.
I design a page in the iWeb app, but then when I publish it and view it in a browser, I see faint gray lines - like bounding boxes - surrounding some of the objects. This is only happening in Firefox; in Safari I don't see them. I'm not sure what is happening in IE.
How do I get rid of these? Is there a way to make sure the page looks the same in the most-used browsers?

How do I get to a command line before X starts? I screwed up.

I installed some drivers improperly, and now as I start up my system, it goes to X, which dies. How do I get to an Ubuntu like "recovery mode"? Where I can use a terminal to uninstall the package?

You can try booting into single user mode and taking it from there. Also, if you're using the /etc/inittab method for starting X, you can try appending "3" to the kernel line (instead of "S", "Single" or "1"), and booting into runlevel 3 instead, which should leave you with a command line login prompt.

How do I get rid of various lines around text boxes when using navigation panes

How can I get rid of these various lines that are displaying sporatically around different text boxes . . . but only when the navigation panel is displaying? I previously had the issue and changed the text box properties to no fill. It fixed the problem in the document with no navigation panel, but once the navigation panel is displayed the lines appear. And yes, I fixed the text box properties before creating the bookmarks for the navigation panel.

Every device, browser and browser version has its idiosyncrasies.
Just using a stroke and a drop shadow should not have been enough to require Muse to convert the page fill to an image. Were/are there also other effects on the page? Are the page corners slightly rounded?
Bevel and Inner Glow definitely require an image to be created. Most other effects/properties do not.

I restored my software on phone and now I can't get anything. The screen just has an emergency call feature and when I call it , it doesn't ring. Any idea how I can get back into the line?

How do I get the phone to work again? It has no apps on it and the only thing I can do is make an emergency call and when I call it from another line I just get voicemail. Before restoring I backed up the info but don't know how to get it restored on the phone.

the above example assumes gdm is your login manager so substitute whatever you're using, and you can kill the other instances of gdm (in my example processes 4441 and 4442 but don't waste your time on the grep process 6633
now redo your X config
(actually you could run this from a terminal from within X and it should have the same effect of dropping you back to console

How do you get rid of scan lines found on the iphone screen?

I have a black iphone 4s. It was working perfectly fine until a week ago where i noticed small "scan lines" towards the middle and bottom of the screen. I am also seeing small red specks in pictures. Sounds like your display is dying. Bring your phone to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

These have been (flaming) debates on the pointlessness of the points system .... I think I'm marginally in favour of the metric but not strongly so (and I think any sophisticated changes to it would be not worth the candle). From my point of view it can be a (very) imperfect indicator of the credence of a poster (but should never be used alone); it can be a quick way of saying thankyou to some answers providing they are not materially misleading; and I can keep an eye on my points/post ratio as a review to check if I am answering questions effectively if it decreases over a period. However I do get rewards for rubbish (and even incorrect answers) while IMHO some great answers go unmarked.
Remember if you have 6 posts in a thread some people could even give you 5 points for that thread, and sometimes threads can be reviewed days later, causing a big increase.

How can you get the summary/total line at the bottom of the finder window to show up?

I want to avoid having to select a hard disk, Get Info to see how much storage is left. This used to happen automatically in the summary line at the bottom of the Finder window. I don't see how to turn this on anymore.

How do I get a credit on line rental following out...

Have been without a phone line since 18/6, and the latest estimate is that we will not be reconnected until 9/7, ie an outage of at least 3 weeks (assuming it's done by then, which given their record so far is not guaranteed!). How do I go about getting a credit for the rental on a line that has not been working?

Mistake in previous post:
According to the terms within the link supplied it appears that because I have had inbound calls connected to my mobile that I have foregone my right to a rental rebate, despite the fact that neither this, nor the fact that calls made using that alternative phone will be credited on the next bill, is made clear when you select the option.
I have not made outbound calls using the mobile, believing it would incur standard mobile network charges, effectively depriving myself of the ability to dial out.
Is my understanding correct?
