How do I get 2 video clips from Canon IXUS 75 into iMovie? I've tried several different things, but nothing seems to work... I'll appreciate any help.. Thank you in advance. (I do this all the time, but with a different camera...) ;-/

I have broken my raw video into pieces in elements but can't get it to import into organizer.
I am using Elements 11 Trial.

The video is actually a football highlight film for our son and came to us as a single mp4 file with about 60 plays of video on it.
What I am trying to do is
1) Cut it down into 60 individual videos (which I did and currently have in my project).
2) Save the pieces off as individual video clips.
3) Get the ability to rank/rate each video and select the 25 or so that will make up the final video.
4) Polish/edit those that make the grade.
5) Organize and assemble.
Does this make sense?

PrE11 will do that well, but not perfect because any encoding always seems to loose a little. You did not say what camera you are using. As long as you are using the clips with copyright permission (the organisation I work for has this for some distributers) try Wondershare (I am sure other converters are available). You can install an extension for Safari (I use FastestTube 2.2.9.3) to download from YouTube. However, please be aware that you could be breaking copyright laws when so doing.

You can't edit a video out of iTunes.
You would have to edit the video from the original film, either on your computer, or iPhone.

How do I get my photos from Elemtnts 11 into a file folder. I am trying to use Blurb to make a travel book but because of the number of photos I have them in groups and want them to stay in groups for the book. Unfortunately the photos in each grouping are all over the place and will be definitely difficult and time consuming to bring into Blurb.

where I describe what files should be present for iMovie 9 to work for someone else with a similar problem. They must either be in the users Movies folder on the start up drive or at the root level of any other partition or connected external drive.

Trouble importing from canon t4i into imove

So I have a canon t4i and I've been having trouble importing my videos from my memory card to imovie, and iphoto wont even let me upload it. I tried converting it to AVI (which took a few hours) and It's still not doing anything. I don't know what to do and it's really frustrating.

From the File menu, choose Import > Movies.
In the dialog that appears, select your camera from the sidebar.
Locate and select the video clips on your camera that you would like to import.
Click the Import button.

you will not see the audio meters from within fcp move while capturing.
If you only see the captured clip in the finder, not within fcp, there's something wrong. You might try deleting your fcp preferences
