How do I get 720p res video from ipod to mac

I'm told the default video res setting on the 4th gen Ipod touch is 720p. The only way I can currently get a video that I've shot to my Imac is to e-mail it to myself, which works but knocks the res way down. Do I have to purchase a third party software to transfer a full 720p video that I've shot to my Mac? Anybody had success with a particular piece of software?
Thanks

  • How do I get songs and video from iTunes onto my PSP?

I would to know the step-by-step method to getting my iTunes content: music, podcast {Video} onto my PSP. I just purchased a 2GbMemory Stick Pro card. Are there any sites dedicated to Mac & PSP?
As always thanks in advance for reading and replying to my Post.

You won't be able to play current protected videos and audio on your PSP. If you're talking about items not purchased from the iTunes Store, normal mp3s should work just by putting them in the music folder of your PSP, no? Video will need to be converted:

  • How do I get my iTunes library from my old mac to my new one?

How do I get my iTunes and for that matter iPhoto libraries from my old mac 15" Tetherball iMac running OS 10.4.11 iTunes ver. 9.0.2 to my new iMac running 10.6.2 but also using iTunes ver. 9.0.2? I used the migration assistant, and a firewire cable, to move my "Music" folder to the new mac, but it insisted that I create a new user on the new mac for the data, rather than giving me a choice to move it into my user account. Also, based on some info from The Missing Manual and the Take Control books I created a separate user that is not an Administrator on the computer to be my primary login. When I simply tried to copy the music folder - iTunes failed to open. And because I am not an admin I can't access the new folder to copy it while I am in my non-admin user on the new computer. I have looked through as many of the posts as I could wade through and didn't see anything quite as simple as I think my problem is. Thanks, in advance.

Did you use Migration Assistant to move all you contents or did you create a new account on the new Mac before transferring?
I had a similar problem when I got my MBP as I created an account on the new Mac at the store to confirm that the MBP was ok. Mistake. I got how home and had loads of issues so I ended up reinstalling the system on the new MBP and using Migration Assistant to move ALL my stuff from the old to the new.
Another choice is to clone your old Mac to an ext HD then swap that cloned HD with the HD in your new Mac.
Regardless of which way you go make sure you de-authorize your old Mac before getting rid of it.

  • How do i get my itunes backup from windows to mac

I have just upgraded from windows vista to mac.  How do I get my library from windows to my mac with out deleting my iphone/ipod memory.
I need to save my Itunes (vista) to a dongle and restore to mac but I do not know how.  I would appreciate it if someone could help me out.

Follow the instructions included with this link for transferring your iTunes library from your PC to your Mac. This along with authorizing your Mac with your iTunes account with iTunes and no iTunes content in on your iPhone will be erased with the first sync with iTunes on your Mac.
This is based on all iTunes content on your iPhone is in your iTunes library on your PC where all iTunes content on your iPhone should be - all music, movies, tv shows, etc., and 3rd party apps.

  • How do I get hi-res photos from iPhoto to sync with new iPad

I hooked my new iPad up, and synced my iPhoto library to it, but once I went to view the photos on the iPad, it looks like they have all been turned into super low-resolution grainy versions.
I was wondering if anyone had any luck getting full-size photos to sync - I have lots of space and a retina display so I want full versions of my photos.
FWIW, I also sync an iphone with the same Mac; and I know for the iPhone that iTunes will reduce photo resolution before syncing to save space. I am guessing maybe my sync with the new iPad just re-used those lo-res versions - so I am hoping there must be some way to force iTunes to NOT use those versions of the photos.

You want to sync the music to the iPad using iTunes on your computer.

  • How do I get an MPG video from iPhoto to iMovie

How do I bring them into iMovie
    Larry Nebel

If I tr to drag them nothing happens If I export them to the desktop they are greyed out in the iMovie import.
The MPEG1 compression format was not developed by Apple and does not share Apple's QT temporal synchronization technology. As such it (like MPEG2, Flash, and other third-party proprietary compression formats) is not "fully" supported by nor can it be edited in the QT structural environment. In this case, use an MPEG based third-party application like MPEG Streamclip (free), iSquint (free), Visual Hub ($$), etc. to convert your files to an intermediate compression format for editing in iMovie.
Would normally recommend DV as the intermediate format for FCP, FCE, and older versions of iMovie to avoid a secondary conversion during import. However, iMovie '08 will accept and edit in a number of different compression formats. DV is, of course still acceptable and is a reasonably fast conversion with reasonably high relative quality. Unfortunately, Animation (a very quick, higher quality compression format often used for intermediate conversions) is not properly exported at this time by iMovie '08 and should be avoided at least for the present. AIC (Apple intermediate Codec) is also a high quality compression format that could be used but is somewhat slower in conversion speed and, like DV and Animation, produces rather large files for editing. At the opposite end are codecs like MPEG4/AAC and H.264/AAC. These produce much smaller files for editing which are somewhat reduced in quality.

  • How do you get sound and video from a macbook pro (before 2010) onto a 2010 toshiba 40" tv?

Any help on connecting a macbook pro (late 2009) to a 2010 toshiba 40" for both sound and video?  I have the mini-hdmi cable, but have no idea about running sound through the tv.  I can use the headphone jack, but don't know where to connect it to on the back of the tv.  Am I supposed to change any settings on the tv or computer to allow the sound to go through the tv?  thanks for any help.

  • How do I get music and movies from iPod to my computer?

Hi How can I put all of my music and movies that are on my iPod onto my computer? They were all on my computer before but became erased. Thanks!

If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    TuneJack Windows Only
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    iRepo Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes 7 Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How can I get ALL my music from iPod to iPad?  Not only purchased but also cd rips?

I have almost all my listening music on my 30GB iPod.  How can I put most of it also on my iPad - to include both purchased AND cd-ripped music?

I'm going to assume you have all this music conveniently stored in iTunes?  If the answer is yes, you connect your iPad to your computer and sync the music from your Music tab to your iPad.
