How do I get a all white background
I want to take a picture for my online store and have everything but the item for sale a white background. is there an easy way to do this?
In Editor, go to File>new>blank file. In the dialog at the bottom, look for Background Contents, and choose white in the drop-down.
Select the "item for sale" on your picture, then copy/paste it to the blank file.

You just have to use Magic Eraser and it does it for you automatically. the two icons you need are these:
1) First click this icon:
2) then click this icon:
3) click anywhere in the background of your picture and it will delete it completely.

Ok, I downloaded the new IOS7 and all the backgrounds are pure white. Staring at the screen now is giving me an awful headache. How do I get some sort of darker color like a grey or black back ground so I can look at the screen?
You are not alone! I've been getting bad headaches as well and you are correct it is the over use of brilliant white. Its particularly bad with Notes and Calander.I asked at the Apple store in Manchester if there was a way of reverting back to iOS6 but it looks like I'm stuck with it.

Firefox has personas that go behind the toolbars and make them hare to read, are you looking for a plain pastel background for toolbars.
You're on a Mac so it does not involve Window Aero transparency.
Where is this background supposed to be.

How can I get past the white screen?
When I start my iMac I see a message that my start up disk is full and that I need to delete files. After I type in my user name and password, all I see if a white screen. This problem started today. The error message about the start up disk started two days ago, and when I looked at the disk, I saw that over half of it has files described as "other". The hard drive is 250 GB. I have Time Machine backups but I don't know how to get to them to help me. So, I guess that I have two questions: how do I get past the white screen, and what are the files that are catogoraized as other? Thanks.
I did not put the OS info in my question because I am not sure what I have. I upgraded to Lion so that I could use the cloud between my devices, however I do not know the number.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located. -

My laptop know im was stolen I got a new one and i downloaded itunes. Only the songs i bought on itunes came over and only like 3 apps. Now i a is missing. The only place i have the music is on my ipodm suppose to have around 50 of them and all my other music that i got from cd,s I do have all the music on my ipod but how do i get it all back into my itunes library.
Was your backup copy of your copmputer stolen as well?
If not, then use it top put everything back.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases -

When I copy a CD onto my macbook pro I sometimes get several songs that are "out" of the album. How do I get them all together in one album? Any help will be much appreciated as I cannot seem to find the solution to this problem in the troubleshooting section of iTunes.
Generally all you need do is give tracks from the same album a common Album Artist. See Grouping tracks into albums. The images need an update but the basic info. still holds.
