How do I get a cd rom to run?

So once upon a time way back when I had a PC with windows, when I put in a "set up" CD, it would automatically start. (If it didn't, I would hit the "run" button) But with my Macbook, it doesn't. We got a new external mouse & I'm trying to set it up with the accompanying CD, but I can't get it to play. If I click the icon, it brings up a whole bunch of seperate files. Which one am I supposed to click? Then it says I need to choose a "default application". So which one am I supposed to use? Do I need to buy another special program to do this? (yes, the mouse said it's compatible with Mac) Bare with me, we're practically computerhedorites! (button by button please!)

Ditzy girl that I am, I never thought of actually trying to USE the mouse after I connected it & it works perfectly without having to get anything off the CD. You've made my day!

Your model can produce two bands....either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz....but not both simultaneously.
You would need a Generation 2, 3 or 4 Time Capsule for simultaneous dual band capability.

Hi, I am facing some trouble with playing a CD-ROM on my Mac. The file code is .AIF. When I click on the option to start up the game, it tells me that the "Classic Environment is no longer supported." Am I doing something wrong? How do I get it to work? Please help.

It sounds as if the game disc is OS 9 compatible, in which case would explain the Classic Environment message and make the game incompatible with any Intel Mac or any Mac running other than OS X10.4x, earlier OS X or OS 9.

What can I do? Are there other ways besides creating an html document to run an applet? Is there a way I could include my other classes if that's the problem? I'd really like for it to be able to run in an internet browser- otherwise, my program probably won't reach as many people.

I checked it and Adaptive Job Server is enabled and running. But Publication Job Server and Destination Job Server are not enabled. I read SAP Business Objects Enterprose Publisher's Guide and it says that they are mandatory. How do I get them enabled?

You need to logon to the CMC (Central Management Console) with admin priviliges and go to the servers area. Her you can start/stop, enable and disable services. You should be able to find the services you are looking for. Make sure the are enabled and started.

How can I get a CD Rom to open on my Mac?

I have a CD Rom on which is sign language lessons, but everytime I put it in my Mac it will open so that I can see the various files on the disc, but when I click install it opens a new window and it says "requires Microsoft Windows to install this product". Are there any settings I can change which would allow me to view the said disc, or am I just gonna have to resort to my old laptop. Ant ideas will be welcome, Many Thanks in advance, Sue xx

The software on the disc is written to run in, and only in, MS Windows. It can't run in the Mac OS. You can either install in on a Windows PC, or install Windows on your Mac and then install the software to run it in Windows.

I dont think that you need a additional driver. Usually the original system driver should works properly.
Did you try to watch DVD movies which are designed for other region?
If yes so you only need to change the DVD region settings.
But note: you can change the settings only 5 times. Then the settings are fixed

Hi, I'm looking to max out my G4 since it's my main desktop and it's served me well (and still is!). I've decided to get a SATA II PCI-X card and a graphics upgrade, and for the graphics upgrade, I've found that the NVidia GeForce 7800 GS is probably the best option I have. I found one on eBay for $149.99 (within my budget), and I'd like to know how hard it would be to get it to run on my G4. I read about taping pins 3 & 11, doesn't sound too hard, but I'm not sure what to do about BIOS flashing.
Long story short, I want this card, but I don't want it to be FUBAR as a result.
Looking forward to feedback and a supercharged G4!
