How do I get a div to stay the right size and stay in the right position!
Hi,
I have created a blank template, created a css file and linked and now placing div's for my content. I have limited amount of knowledge with css but get by ok.
I have one consistant problem - when creating the layout I first use a container which I need ot hold all my content. The page has a separate colour and the container stays white, I want it to hold all the content together but it keeps disappearing when I upload to web!
other div's within the page also through out and go half way up the page. It all looks fine within the dreamweaver page!
What I am I NOT doing?
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok,thanks - the background should be white, with a 0.2 keyline around the edge of the site and the three boxes floating should be under the main content, hope this makes sense!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

I have a WiFi iPad 2 w/iOS 8.1. I want to use PayPal Here that requires location services in my nursery. It works fine outdoors but inside our metal buildings with metal roofs the location services do not work (and PayPal Here does not work) even though I am still connected to our WiFi network. You also can open and close the sidebar using
View > Sidebar > Bookmarks
If you are displaying the orange Firefox button rather than the classic menu bar, tap the Alt key to display the menus temporarily and then you can use the View menu. -

Unfortunately that seems to be a known bug. And something we have to wait for APple to fix. THere are other threads on the same topic and some people have work arounds so you might want to poke around in the 'more like this' on the right.

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps? Whenever I move it there is a huge gap at the top of the page which I cant seem to get rid of, i posted about this before but none of the suggestions seemed to work for me. i'm not very good with css so im not really sure where to find the problem. There are generally gaps everywhere which looks at absolute mess, no clue how they got there and why, there is a huge gap underneath my menu bar too which wasnt there before. how do i get rid of this too? its probably some padding a or margin but no clue where.

How can you get an applet to obey the CSS z-index attribute?
I have a DHMTL page with a panel that I want to slide back and forth. But another part of the requirement is to have the panel look like it is sliding under another panel.
The problem is that an applet is on the panel that slides. When the sliding panel move under the stationary panel the applet does not go under the stationary panel, but the reset of the sliding panel does render looking like it is sliding under.

I have the same problem, and don't know how to solve it, So, i had tried to put my applet in a div tag wih z-index=0, but it still hide my other Dhtml divs with bigger Z-index (z-index =1000)
Have you any idea to solve this.

I don't know how you have a Tape Recorder icon on your Home Screen. I cannot add one myself. But, I am running Holo Launcher in replacement of the default LG "Optimus" User Interface. It's much better in my opinion.
Try long pressing the icon and select Edit and maybe you can change some attribute of the icon.
Another thing you could do, is long-press an empty area of your desktop, to add an icon. Select Shortcut, then Select Contact, and scroll through your contact list and choose the contact that you added for *86.
You realize if you have voice mail you haven't heard, there is a tape recorder icon in the notification bar, which you touch and pull down, then press it to dial voicemail.
If that functionality doesn't work, you MIGHT want to consider doing a factory data reset on your device, but that is going to nuke all your personalizations and cause you work to set up again. -
My iPad does not find the printer. I have tried the HP app and it works, but in any other app the printer is not seen. How do I get this printer visible to the iPad. All my other network computers find and print with out a problem.

I am trying to use powerpoint but when I open a document I want to work on it does not open on my desktop. It appears as open on mission control but it disappears offscreen. How can I get it to open where i need it and can work on it?
