How do I get a hidden column to show in a library?

I am having an odd behavior on one of my site columns, and am hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this for me. I have just built a content type hub. Also created some site columns....I have one particular column (which is a choice type), that
is hidden at the parent content type level. I see this hidden column each time i view the settings of any content type that inherits from the parent content type. However, when I add these child content types to a library, I no longer see the hidden column.
I don't understand why this is the case.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is this the way it is designed to work in SharePoint?
Update: When I view the inheriting content type from the hub, I see the hidden column. But if I view the same content type from within my site, I do not see the hidden column. Is this a publishing issue? Or is this by design in SharePoint?

That definitely does not sound like design. Have you tried editing the content type on the library level NOT the hub level? You should be able to set the hidden status to display within the Content Type section on the library.
If that doesn't work, it'll be worth looking at something like SharePoint Manager to open up the column and inspect its properties.

I've recently had to transfer my itunes over to drive D in my laptop, since drive C was just about at its limit. Anyway, I transferred my itunes over to drive D, but all that shows up in my library is the material I purchased frrom itunes - none of my uploaded cd's are showing up at all. The uploaded material shows up in my itunes file folder, and but it won't show up in my library until I play the song through the file folder. I'd rather not sit there playing all of this material just to get it to show in my library (since there is a LOT), so is there any quickie way I can get this stuff to show up in my itunes library again?

Have you tired to adding the music to the iTunes library by choosing:

"Hidden" and "Deleted" are two different things. If you hid it, unhide it. If you deleted it on your phone, resych it from iTunes or download it again, for free.

For a simple example, say I have a table and want certain roles to see all columns (including address), and other roles can see only certain columns (no address). In a Java method, I want to test if a table's column visible attribute is true and if so, set it to false before rendering it.

this use case would be a perfect example for using seeded MDS customization. Instead of checking what users are allowed to see or not upon rendering time, you have a customization class and thus the framework doing this for you.

(JTable) How can i get the first columns cell in a selected row?

Hello. I am trying to figure out how i can get the first columns cell within a selected row no matter what cell is selected in that row. I have a class that extends AbstractTableModel which represents the table. Now i have another class that extends DefaultSelectionModel. Each model is added to the JTable via setModel(TableModel dataModel), setSelectionModel(ListSelectionModel newModel). Now i don't understand what i have to return from getMaxSelectionIndex(). Any ides? Thanks.

How can i get Cummulative Sales column in Bex

I have a report that shows the months in one column sales for that month in another column and than the users want to see the cummulative sale in the third column which i can figure out how to develop.
They Cummulative column should show the total for each month from the beginning of the year like year to date.
so in the example below Cummulative for Jan should be 0. but for Feb it should be sum of Jan and Feb Sales ie. 100300 = 400. Similarly for MArch it should be 100300+150 = 550.
How can i achieve this?

-In Property of that Formula, On Calculation Tab, Check that Cumulative CheckBox and

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

How do I get a different URL to show up after an email form has been submitted?

I have created a Form in DW CS5 and have some PHP server side code to mail it out.
However, once the Submit button is pressed it refreshes back to the Form - How do I get a different page to show up after the Form is submitted?
I tried using a behavior - onSubmit - go to URL - that gets me to the page I want to go to but I guess it overrides the PHP Form Action because the email will not send.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In my form - I have tried inserting a hidden field with the Value set to the redirected page I want to go to

In my form Action PHP Include - I have inserted a header function with the redirected page I want to go to
     mail($to, $subject, $body, $headers);
     header('http://www.website.com/page');
I have also checked for empty/extra spaces at the start and end of my php tags
None of the above has got me to the redirected page I want to go to after the submit button is selected - the Form page continues to refresh.
Any other suggestions on where I am missing the point would be greatly appreciated - thanks.

How can I get my RSS feeds to show up on my iOS devices from iCloud? The RSS feeds now show up just fine on my iMac.
On my iMac the appear in a category at the same level as In Box, Sent, etc. However the term RSS is in lighter grey like Mailboxes, On My Mac, Reminders. I use Snow Leopard 10.7.5. Any help will be appreciated as I'd like to read the feeds on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5 when I'm away from home.

You did not mention that it must be through iCloud. But then, it can't really do so if you want to maintain separate Apple IDs.
So you just set up an additional calendar on your devices.
iPads, iPhone, Macs can show multiple calendars simultaneously. I have my work calendar and several personal calendars all showing simultaneously on my iPad, Mac Mini and Macbook Pro. In the case of my client, they didn't need multiple calendars. They just were going to use the one shared calendar. But I did setup the shared Google calendar and separate personal caldendars on their iPhones. (e.g.: Husband's iPhone = husband's personal Mac Cal + shared Google Calendar. Wife's iPhone = wife's personal Outlook for Windows Cal + shared Google Calendar.)

I am using my Mac 10.9.3 with Adobe Reader XI in my Safari 7.0.4 Browser. I do not have any trouble viewing PDF statements with my bank or other places OTHER than at Ford Credit. Each time I log into Ford Credit to view the statements and attempt to download them, all I get on the screen is their blank form with headings and titles---no content. When this happened once before over a year ago with my old Mac computer, I found my answer online by making Adobe Reader my default reader instead of Preview. At that time it worked. This time, its not working. I contacted Ford Credit and they said their online Account Manager performs better using Internet Explorer. The only answer they had for me was that advice or to contact Adobe. So here I am looking for answers. Any help provided is already appreciated.

I do not know what to do or what to say or what to type to get someone familiar with the Adobe Reader to respond to my plea for help.
