How do I get a music purchase from one library to a device synched to a different computer?

I set up an account at work and have an account at home. I guess I set up to sync at home so when I purchased an album while at work I am unable to get it over to my Iphone without erasing all of the music already on phone.

That's exactly the way it works.
Just curious, why do you have two separate accounts?
If there was only one account but signed into two different computers it would be a simple issue.
On the home computer, select Store > Check for available downloads.

Unless you subscribe to iTunes Match , Apple does not keep a backup of your iTunes library. Even then it is not the library as it exists on your computer, but some version of the media, and only media files, not playlists. Even then not all media are definitely available since anything removed from the iTunes Store since you purchased it is not available for re-download.

In your case it sounds like you will have to obtain non iTunes purchases from their original source or a backup you may have made at some time in the past.

You should be able to copy iTunes purchases over to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. What may be overlooked in Pages v5 is the notion of combining Text Boxes via the Menu > View > Show Arrange Tools. When you select two Text Boxes, an extra panel unfolds at the bottom of the Arrange Tools window. Uncheck one Text Box and this panel abruptly disappears.
One can achieve text flow effects between Text Boxes differently based on how one positions the Text Box overlap, and choice of effect above. Though not the accustomed flow found in Pages ’09 v4.3, flow does occur. Consider the possibilities of combining a Shape and a Text box to cut an irregular Text box.
If I create two Text Boxes and position them side by side with outline touching and choose Unite, this creates one larger Text Box and text flows across and down. On the otherhand, if I overlap the upper left corner of a lower Text Box over one above and to the left, then choose Union, pasted text fills the first Text Box and then flows across and down into the other box. Here is a Union example:
Intersect will leave a small Text Box where the two overlap, so not much value there. Subtract will cut a chunk out of one Text Box that is the size of the overlapping piece of the second Text Box:
And Intersect will leave an island in the center where the two Text Box overlap, with flow jumping over this bridge.
Clearly, this is not what we were accustomed to in the past, but with imagination, style, and layout tuning, it does offer alternative Text Box creativity and layout. Of course, there is the option of simply returning to the previous Pages version for true Text Box linking that most will want to use.

The procedure you describe is putting content from two different IDs into a single library, which can readily be done.
However, each item of purchased content will still be tied to the ID from which it was originally purchased, and they will be treated separately for purposes of Cloud, Match, Purchase History, etc.

Yes. Just copy the purchase to the user account/computer and drag it into the iTunes window or use the Add to Library command. If iTunes isn't authorized to the iTunes Store account the purchase was made through, you'll just have to authorize that system.

How do I download previous music purchases from the Cloud to my Macbook Pro?

I recently purchased my first Apple computer, but have been a longtime iPod user, and as of this past February an iPhone user. So upon getting my new Macbook Pro, I of course began to sync what songs I had purchased from iTunes on my old Windows computers, and iPod and iPhone, that were supposed to be stored in the Cloud. Well, as I've been importing all the physical CD's i own, I began to notice that some of my iTunes purchases hadnt downloaded from the Cloud. So now I've gone through my iPod to see what songs are missing and which aren't. I know now that I am missing two full albums, as well as what I think is another 25+ single songs I've downloaded, and unfortuantely I cannot figure out how to retrieve them for the life of me. I'm very frustrated that all my purchases didnt show up from the Cloud in the first place! Any help?
