How do I get a new iPod Touch to have the same music setup as my old one?

I have all the songs on my ipod touch in my itunes library, but there are also a lot of other songs I don't want, so I can't just sync the new ipod. I could drag them all individually but that would take hours.
I was thinking I could get an ipod-to-itunes music program, and then just do my whole ipod, then transfer all of those songs to my new ipod, then delete the songs I had imported to itunes. But that's expensive.

Applecare has nothing to do with a lost or stolen device.
You would have to buy a new ipod.

You can take your iPod to an Apple Store and ask, but they are not obligated to replace your iPod when you caused damage via an accident. Most likely you'll need to pay for the replacement.

Will iPod touch ever have the same specs as an iPhone?

I prefer Android for a phone but I have an iPod touch 4th gen as a bedside music player/alarm clock/game player docked in a radio/speaker dock, but I realized after buying it that it didn't have the same processor or screen as the iPhone 4, so looked kind of crappy and didn't run a lot of games or apps well that I wanted to use that did run well on an iPhone 4.
Now that I'm thinking of upgrading to a modern iPod touch (5th gen? iOS 7, not sure what the processor is) but I'm afraid I'll be in the same situation since app developers are programming for the iPhone 6 now. Also I want to have 128GB so I can put all of my music uncompressed on it, but I feel that's a pipe dream since the current one only goes up to 64GB. I really would pay more to have a touch that's basically an iPhone without the phone/data part.
Is it worth upgrading? I would have to get rid of my dock and buy a new one with a lightning plug. I'm really afraid Apple will discontinue the iPod touch like they did the Classic and if I want to play iPhone games and have a nice radio dock I'll just have to buy an iPhone (since Android docks don't support controlling the device with the dock buttons like iOS does).

Hey Dhinged, If you want solid facts, can not answer your question, only Apple knows. If you don't mind speculations try Goggle. For part two, don't buy phone or data plan, no SIMS card activation, no phone functions. But with the iPhone having a history of being roughly twice the cost of an iPod-- that's one expensive iPod. Part of what keeps the cost of an iPhone down is the phone contract, the full cost of the phone is part of the contract, if you opt out of a contract then you will have buy the whole phone at full cost. I would look at purchasing an iPad or wait and see if there is anything solid about the iPod 6 in October. Hope this helps, Cheers.

How do I get my new iPod Touch (4th gen) to authorize for old purchases?

Recently, I upgraded to the iPod Touch 4th generation model. Unfortunately, even though I have authorized my PC for the new device repeatedly, old purchases cannot be synced. I continue to get the error message that I am not authorized on the computer. My Apple ID and password have not changed and now I am out hundreds of dollars in songs and movies I simply cannot load to the new iPod. Any suggestions in resolving this issue?

How can I get my new ipod touch to work?

I have been trying to get the ipod touch (4th gen.) to work. I tried loading itunes v. 10.5 on my windows 7 but I kept getting an error message. After searching for answers, I found someone that told me to use v. 9.0 of itunes 64. I finally got itunes to work and registered my ipod. Later, I tried to upgrade to v. 10.5 but neither itunes nor quicktime would work right, so I ended up reinstalling the v. 9.0. The problem is that the computer shows the ipod under devices, but it is not coming up in the itunes menu under devices. When I ran the diagnostics (under help) it is telling me that there is no ipod. Is this a defective device? When I turn it on the only thing I get is the apple symbol. I'm totally confused.

You did install the latest iTunes (10.5) right? If the problem was that iTunes does not see the iPod try:

I got an itouch for christmas yesterday, however whenever I connected it to my laptop (compaq windows) it wouldn't show up on my itunes sidebar like it should. So then I decided to download the latest version of itunes, i did that, then i downloaded icloud, (i still don't know how to create an account for that either) Anyways, ever since I opened it and connected it has had the same picture, I think it's in recovery mode but I'm not sure. Does anyone know how to help me?

Before you can use any of the iPod touch features, you must use iTunes to set up iPod touch. Plug it into a USB 2.0 port on your iMac (not a keyboard port) and iTunes should start and lead you through the process.

Will it be possible to get a newer version of an Ipod touch due to the damage and errors of my old one when i recieved it?

I ordered an Ipod touch 2G and also I chose to engrave it.
But when i recieved my ipod, it arrived with heavy scratching and marking all along the back, and the engraving was the wrong way up in amongst the lettering near the '8GB' box. I chose to put up with this at first, but after a few hours charging, i found that it also didnt turn on.
After this I decided to send my Ipod back, hoping to get a new one, with no scraching and the engraving corrected. But again i recieved it, to find nothing had been done with it. I also sent the ipod back to apple in its box, and recieved it loose in an envelope. Also to find a letter saying how "nothing was wrong".
So i was wondering after all these mistakes you would generously send me a newer version or a higher GB due to these mistakes.

Of course they will not send you a newer model.
If they replace it, then it will be with the same model.

Trying to get a new iPod touch to where the old one was at

So a year ago I purchased an iPod and along with it I bought the 2 yr extended Warranty. Well a couple of weeks ago the touch screen stopped working. I tried everything to get it to work again Recharge reset I even tried restoring and nothing fixed it. So I sent it in and in return I got a new iPod (refurbished). I figured hey no problem... just sync it up with iTunes and everything that had been on my old iPod will be on my new one. Not the case. I am just wondering if there is a way to get all that stuff back cause some of it I really want. I would imagine that it may have to do with looking at the device list but I cant seem to find a place that shows me all the devices that have been synced with the computer.

Why won't my brand-new iPod Touch connect via BlueTooth in my Volvo? My old one did!

Very interesting, but frustrating, too. The iPod shows (in Settings): Bluetooth On; devices--cell phone (not paired); MacBook (not paired). Nothing about the car. In the car, it wants me to punch in a four-digit code. HOW? Where?
This is crazy because my old iPod does this.

The iPod will not pair with a computer. The iPod will only pair with yur car is your car supports one of the BT profiles that is supported by the iPod

Can I go to apple store and get a newer ipod if I have the original nano?

I understand I may have to pay $100 or something. But is it possible? When my ipod was purchased I figure I'd never use up 2gigs of memory but I'm already full and as of right now i still have atleast another 200-300 songs to put on. Is it possible to go to a apple store or best buy etc and do a trade if I didn't buy the warranty originally?

there is no trade up program.. my suggestion would be to sell your old one on ebay or a friend etc and take that money and buy a new one.. there are also sites out there that will buy back your ipod for $.

As far as I know, all iOS devises have a glass covered screen, with the exception of the iPhone 4 which has the back covered as well. The only diverice that I believe is that the glass on the iPhone may be thicker, but don't hold me to that.
