HOW DO I GET A PIC TO MY THUMBNAIL SPACE WITHOUT LOSEING IT?
I HAVE PICS IN MY WINDOWS LIVE PHOTO GALLERY & HAVE DOWNSIZED 1 OF 2 DIFFERENT ONES THAT I WOULD LIKE TO USE AS MY THUMBNAIL PIC. BUT I CAN'T GET IT FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER. NOT EVEN W/COPY & PASTE OR EVEN MOVING THE PIC TO FIREFOX WHERE MY FACE BOOK IS. NOTHING IS WORKING I KNOW I USED A PIC THAT WAS IN THE PHOTO GALLERY BEFORE WHICH WAS MY PANTHERS FLAG, SO I KNOW IT SHOULD WORK BUT IT DOESN'T. I HAVE WORKED ON THIS FOR 4 HRS. W/NO LUCK. PLEASE HELP ME TRACI THANX I ALSO LOST THE PICS AT THE TOP OF MY PROFILE & CAN'T GET THEM BACK,
Figured it out,
If you get the "playlist will be removed from iCloud" notice then follow this steps.
Go ahead and add the song to the playlist you want.
go to iTunes store.
log into your Apple account and go to Account
in the section titled iTunes in the Cloud you will see a link titled add this computer and it will reload the music including the playlists to iCloud.
Once it reloaded again I tried copying the song to another playlist and it worked. Listing the song on all my devices.

Your phone is in recovery mode. All data on it are already lost. You must connect your phone to your computer and restore through iTunes.

How can I get my phone out of restoration mode without losing my pictures?
I was trying to back-up my phone on my new laptop, but it somehow disconnected itself, so it went into recovery mode. I was wondering if there was any way of either getting it out of recovery mode, or restoring it, without losing all the pictures I have on it? I did not have my icloud on for my picture roll, so that's out of the question.
There is a safe boot on a Mac but I have never heard of anything like that on an iPad.
If you are referring to restore mode where the iPad displays a USB connector and iTunes then the data on the iPad is already gone and you might as well connect it up to your computer and restore so that it works. -

- Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
Copy music
- To retain app data and other information, connect the iPod to yur computer and make a backup by right clciking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the Backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music. -
How can I get my ipad out of recovery mode without losing all of my data
I plugged my ipad into my laptop to charge, it went into recovery mode, I cannot lose my data. How can I save my data and get out of recovery mode?
Unplug it from your laptop and try a reset:
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)
If it goes back into Recovery Mode then unfortunately your data is already lost.
Restore from your iCloud or iTunes backup.

How can I get my text into a wedge shape (without losing quality)?
I'm using PS CS3... So the effect I'm going for is like what you would get if you had an image, and you do Edit > Transform > Distorted it, moving the lower right corner towards the center. The problem is that Distort is not an option for text layers . I tried making my text layer into an image layer and distorting it, but this method make my letters look pixelated. The closest I've got is to do Layer > Type > Warp Text with zero Bend and a negative Horizontal Distortion... But doing that makes both the top AND bottom of my text taper inward. I only want the BOTTOM part of the text to slope. Please help!
One could convert the Text to a Smart Object and then apply the Distortion or Warp.
If the result appears pixelated one could open the SO and increase the resolution, which should alleviate the problem somewhat.
Edit: In CS3 the perspectival transformation for SOs is not directly available, but can be simulated with Warp.
A further option would be creating a Layer with a Vector Mask from the Text (Layers – Type – Convert to Shape; best done on a duplicate of the original text layer) and transform that; this would maintain sharp edges at the price of losing text-editability. -

You need to copy the iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer; do this while iTunes is not running, then launch iTunes and you will see it. You can then safely sync. If this is not an option there is a MUCH more complicated way to do it: Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

i am having macbook air recently my iphotos did not open and was showing report apple and reopen but i came to know that by pressing alt and iphotos i open an new photo library and stored the pics but now how can i get the pics which i had in the earlier photo please help me to recover my photos
Well I'll guess you're using iPhoto 11:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Phone run over by car - how do I get my pics back?
Hello all,
I don't know where else to ask for help. Last week my husband left my phone on top of the car by mistake and it fell off while driving on the highway. Unfortunately, we were never able to locate it again (although, we dangerously tried after making a whole big U-turn)
Anyway, how do I get my pics/videos back??? I have a one year old and my phone is pretty much all I use to take pics.. I did a backup onto Picasa like 2 months ago but since then I went on a trip and never uploaded the photos---- Is there any way that since my GMAIL account was syned at one time, pics could've been saved???

I'm so sorry to learn of the mishap in driving away with the phone on top of the car! I'm glad to hear that you and your family are OK, considering your attempt at a U-turn to find the phone.
I'm sorry to let you know that the pictures and videos from your phone are in the memory card that is (or was)in the phone. If they were not backed up prior to the phone being left on the top of the car, then they are, like the phone, gone as well. The pictures/videos would have to have been backed up to your PC before the phone was lost in order for you to still have access to them.
I wish I had a different answer for you, because I understand how important the pictures and videos can be.

It will mostly depend on your device. You can use an App and move them, you can use the Built in File App (if your phone has it) or you can open the camera, go to Settings and Storage and select SD card. This will move your pictures to your SD card instead of Internal Storage and will put all future pics there as well.

Where in iCloud are they? If they are in your backup, restore the backup to your device. If they are in photo stream, sign into your iCloud account on your iOS device or computer and enable photo stream.

It's a good thing you have your Camera Roll backed up from the last sync you did with either iTunes or iCloud!
Your Camera Roll photos can be retrieved from the last sync once you get your replacement iPhone. The rest of your photos are backed up elsewhere on your computer from your last sync. -
