Also disappointed that it is so hard to find a way to communicate with Adobe that I have to resort to asking this question in this forum.

You need to use the CHAT link in support to reach Adobe staff. Be sure you know the product name you are trying to cancel, Adobe have lots of products, several converters etc. I think it is ExportPDF you have, most likely.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

Bought a rip-off App that stalks your activity, want my money back but they blocked me!

My problem is that I bought this app called iTeleport VNC. Basically what it does is show your Mac screen on your iPhone. I thought this should be fun and so I decided to buy it for € 3,99 (it seems to be for sale for € 17,99 now, probably I was lucky and it was discounted — thank god!).
So I downloaded the app to my iPhone, I downloaded the other one to my Mac and tried to make it run.
The first very mysterious thing is that is starts asking your Gmail address and password. It says it needs them because all of this runs over Google Talk servers. I find this quite strange because why would they need my email address and its password for this? All they need is the server IP, password and port numbers or something like that. I gave in a fake Gmail address that I had made some time ago and continued.
This is all during installation by the way.
Then a window pops up that asks you if you want to enable screen sharing. I don't think I want to share my screen, do I? If you click no, it will not work because a message will pop up and tell you that the app couldn't find screen sharing and that it will try again in 10 seconds (and it goes on like that…).
It also said that if I click yes, I will be able to disable it later again. So I thought "alright, let's click yes and then let's disable it". Unfortunately there is no option to disable it in the settings.
I don't understand why it needs all that stuff like email passwords, etc. I have another app which allowed me to control iTunes over my iPhone and I think it works a similar way. Not exactly the same of course, but kind of. And it doesn't ask any passwords or such a thing.
To me this seems like they're just trying to collect private data. I don't want them to see my screen and I don't want them to know my Gmail password. But you have to do this in order to make the app run.
After a while I finally was able to make it run. There seemed to be 2 modes: one, where you will see the logic screen of your Mac on your iPhone. The other one requires you to enter the password to your computer in the App, so it always redirects you to your desktop automatically. Basically it skips the login window. But I preferred to type the password in the login window. Unfortunately this wasn't possible because you weren't able to type anything in that field.
And that's where I decided to stop using this app and deleted it.
It didn't say any of that in the App description, which I think it should. Some people don't want to "register" to their service my giving away their personal information, this should definitely be mentioned.
So obviously I wanted my money back… because I find it wrong, it's not what was written in the description.
I went to the iTunes store (inside of iTunes), then clicked the little arrow in the top right corner beside my email address, clicked on "Account" and then you will find a link to your purchase history.
There's a button to report a problem, and that's what I did. I selected the app, reported the problem and wrote basically what I wrote abobe. There was also a drop-down menu which asked you in which category this goes. Unfortunately I selected something like "This app doesn't work the way it should" and that's how iTunes blocked me from reporting it again. Because after I submit my request, a message came and told me that Apple isn't responsible on how 3rd party apps work. No they aren't, but they're responsible for what they put in their store and they need to make sure it works and that it's not against people's privacy.
So now I can't report it again because when I try this it tells me I have already reported a problem for this app (or that the problem is too old, which isn't the case. Plus, how can the problem be too old? I think it's meant to be something like I bought the app too long ago. Fail!).
The big questions now is, does anyone know how I can get my € 3,99 back?
Do you believe I should contact the people who made this app? But what should I say?

To build on the second option provided by The Edmeister make sure that you have your Sync Key, if this is not the case Firefox Sync will not help you (data is encrypted with that Key).
Finally, if the last sync happened long time ago, it may be the case that your data is not on the servers anymore. Firefox Syn wasn't designed as a back up service.

Sony XAV601BT MirroLink is a big fail,i want my money back

I bought a Sony XAV 601BT car stereo hoping to use my phones navigation app with MirroLink. I have tried a Blackberry Curve ( which it said it supported). It did not work, and I switched to an android Gingerbread( HTC Explorer). Didnt work too. Now I have a Nexus 4 which of course doesnt work, with a message that says USB device unsupported. This is terrible is there anyphone it supports? What work aorunds do I have , firmware updates or anything on the stereo that can help ?

WOW ! If only what I see on the box, was inside the stereo. You see, I have this beautiful box that my XAV-601BT came in. I look at it now and then with such hope and think. WOW ! Just imagine. I have that stereo installed in MY car, yet, it doesn't do half the ****** on the box. NO Telenav? Not in Canada. But, no big deal - I guess it doesn't work in the USA either. Sure looks pretty on the box. Then there's the iPhone support. Humm.. videos don't work. What? I NEED TO BUY a $30 CABLE to make it work?! Didn't see that one coming. Dual USB? Yes. Don't try to have the TomTom and iPhone on a USB hub. Nope. Have to have the Iphone hanging out the front, with the video cable thing so it can ONLY play iTunes videos. Not youtube or any other Safari videos. ONLY itunes. You can get a USB thubdrive to play videos. That's nice. Oh, and then there's the issue that all kinds of people are having - sound. No sound. You have to switch to another source, wait for some sound, THEN go back to the other source and it works. No big deal. Well, not to SONY I guess. Because people have asked SONY to fix this. But from the Posts I've read, too bad. Well, shucks, I only paid like $1200 including installation (includes the Serius radio and a backup camera). Oh, my friend, no those aren't included. You're funny ! THOSE features are only on the outside of that pretty box.

I don't think it was a Google Calendar program. It came some time (years) ago with Mozilla Firefox. Its name may have included "Reminders". Originally, the icon of a ribbon showed up on the top of the browser, like next to "Help". You clicked on it there you got the Calendar. A few months ago, the ribbon icon disappeared and you had to click on "Tools" and that program showed up in about the 4th position. I think the data was stored on the Web, and therefore I was hoping to recover it.
Sorry, I don't know what Thunderbird is or Lightning.

There is only one Facetime Application available as a download from the App store. Fortunately, it is the one you need for your 10.6.8. MacBook. It is actually known as Facetime for Mac. If you go to the app store and search for Facetime, you should see it as an available download. The cost was 99 cents when I downloaded it last year.

Notifier" add-on, and sure enough "poof-it never appeared again"...
