How do i get a time bar??

Hi All,
I need to create a time bar....some kinda bar that progresses as time passes by. It should be kinda like the bar you see on windows media player at the bottom! What object do I use to achieve that??
To explain in detail..i have a log file wherein different events are stored sorted in time. I should read from the log and changes should take place on the screen based on the events in the log! For this I also need to have a time bar at the bottom which which kinda scrolls from one end to the other as I render the events in the log file from beginning to end!
Can someone suggest what object i need to use to get the time bar??

There's a good tutorial on progress bars in dialog windows in the Java Tutorial section - you can find it at java.sun.com. I bet you could modify their code a bit and have most of the work done for you!

The change between Firefox 3.6.* and Firefox 4 is how location bar search works. In Firefox 3.6 it uses Google "Browse by name" search. With the browse by name search, it performs a Google search and if there is a clear match it will take you to the site, otherwise it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it just performs a Google search if you type something which is not recognised as a URL.
To get the Firefox 3.6 behaviour on Firefox 4 you need to change a hidden preference.

Created site in iweb 08 and posted to netfirms... the pages are all loaded up but there is no nav bar, it comes up on each page as a small black dot. How do I get the nav bar to load up and show?

It was a disaster loading up my site as it changed the case of the letters and at first no pages were seen, so I had to go through and change the letters that were supposed to be cap, back to cap in every file. I don't know if this has something to do with it or not. The tech support doesn't have an answer. Please let me know if you have any ideas and solutions. Thanks bunches!

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps?

How do I get my menu bar at the top of the page with no gaps? Whenever I move it there is a huge gap at the top of the page which I cant seem to get rid of, i posted about this before but none of the suggestions seemed to work for me. i'm not very good with css so im not really sure where to find the problem. There are generally gaps everywhere which looks at absolute mess, no clue how they got there and why, there is a huge gap underneath my menu bar too which wasnt there before. how do i get rid of this too? its probably some padding a or margin but no clue where.

My IPhone email app is connected to my Outlook email system in which I have many archieved folders, when I want to place an email in my archieved folders on my IPhone I have to scroll a long list of archieved folders to find the right one, how can I get a search bar added to find it easier? My colleague' s Samsung has that function already and can't believe that Apple can be behind Samsung on this.

How do I get Quick Time to work on my computer again?

Apparently I am old and a dummy and it seems I accidentally uninstalled Quick Time from my computer instead of uninstalling something else that I was intending to uninstall. How can I get Quick Time back? I've tried the download from the apple.com site, but it never shows up in a file other than some binary file and I don't have the option to "run" after download, just save to this binary file. PLEASE can someone help me? THANKS in advance for any and all help.

Welcome to the Support Communities! First of all, you are not old or a dummy. I'm sure you can give me hundreds of examples of things you can do because of your knowledge and experience, so give yourself a break . I just want to clarify .... are you using a Windows computer or a Mac? I'm going to assume Windows and include an article for you that will explain how to delete the iTunes application and all of it's components (because Quicktime is tied to this program). This will not affect your iTunes library, only the application itself. Once that is done, you should be able to work with Quicktime again.

If you migrated all the info from time machine to your new MBP. The TM will usually ask to connect to the old backups.. sorry I am not sure is this what you want to do.. Personally I think you start a fresh backup.
BTW Time Capsule does not do anything.. it is a dumb hard disk in a box.. it is TM that does everything.
