How do I get AC3 audio on my DVD

Thank you for reading and offering your help.
I want to make some DVDs using iDVD09. I have no problem creating and editing videos and burning DVDs using iDVD.
Here is my problem. I want to create DVDs that will be duplicated by a company that says no Mpeg audio. They want AC3 audio.
Could someone please help me out here. What do I do, so that I can create a video, use iDVD09 and have AC3 audio? Or if that can't be done, please tell me my options.

I don't have first hand knowledge of iDVD on this, but here's a post that suggests iDVD won't be able to solve your dilemma (unless the production house accepts PCM audio -- check this):

DVD Studio Pro offers a greater range of audio encoding options, including AC3. You may wish to check Toast and other software, but if you like nice menus, you may be looking at Apple's Pro$$ software.

I have successfully recorded audio off of concert DVD's using Sound Studio 3 by connecting my DVD player to my MBP using left/right outputs to a 35mm input. I purchased an optical cable, connected it to my DVD player and used a 35mm adapter to connnect it to my MBP input. All I get is a weird popping interferance type sound instead of clear audio. Any tips on what is going on? I have correct settings in system preferences (recognizes an optical connection) but all I hear is noise?

It gives you a few options for audio, I generally save as AAC though you can rip as AIFF and then encode into just about anything with quicktime.

After syncing with itunes on the pc, my newly purchased audio books vanished from the ipad, and I can't copy it back! I've tried copying the audio book back into the library, but that didn't help.

Audiobooks are not currently available for repeat download from iTunes in the Cloud. Your audiobook should have transferred to your iTunes library when you synced your device.
You will need to contact support through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

So you have business contacts that were lost... do you not have these on a Database in some shape or form? Sounds like you need to invest in a RAID1 backup setup for your computer so you dont have this issue in the future.
As for repairing your problem, sounds like you are going to need to start from scratch at this point or if the data is still on your phone look into a program that can take the information from the phone onto iTunes.

How do I get my audio to work again when I play video links on my iPad 2? Think the problem might have started when I did the update to IOS 7.1. I click on a video link when I'm in an app like Facebook. The video plays, but no audio. I used to be able to open the link in Safari and the be able to hear the audio. But now that doesn't work either. Apple support helped with a similar problem in10/3013. They made me back up my iPad to ITunes through my laptop and think they wiped my iPad and re-loaded the software. Is there any other fix?

I just saw an answer that "Demo" posted 9/30/2012. Said to re-boot the iPad system by holding Down to the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the apple logo screen popped up. It worked. I I've got audio again on my video links!

Have imported video into audition but how do I get the audio to snap after editing?

Just to explain, I have imported a timeline from Premiere into Audition CC. I have one full piece of video and one piece of audio but need to clean up the audio. What I'm trying to do is edit the audio and have it snap to the piece of audio to the left as you would do normally. I will then concern myself with cutaways etc to mask the video when back in premiere. My question is how do I get the audio and video to snap in sync with my audio edits( Can't seem to get it to snap at all at the moment)

The video in Audition is just a guide and can't be edited. So if you cut out chunks of the audio it will no longer be in sync with the video if you try and join the audio together.
When you say that you are cleaning up the audio what do you need to do to it in order to clean it? If it is just a case of muted unwanted parts of the audio that can be done in Multitrack by using the Volume envelopes to mute the audio at appropriate places without cutting anything out so it won't lose sync.

You can do it, though the result isn't ideal. Import your episode, then select it in the Music list and hit command-i to bring up the info panel:

How do I get the Audio Books to stick without error on any of my car

Good evening all.
I have been drafting a FAN message in my head for several days now, mainly because I have seen so many people baggin all over the ZEN in a number of posts... It's getting late, and I am resolved to not bore everyone with my rhetorical delights, so - for this night I enter to say: - THANK YOU so very much for the Helpful Hints thread, that was very kind. And 2- The PQI SD cards, both the 2GB as well as the 4GB are a hit with the ZEN as well as all the others mentioned thus far.
Seems a big crowd is very disappointed with the cans and cant's of the internal memory being able to sync up directly with the SD cards; maybe my total "newby'ness", but I am thrilled with my product... I purchased the 2GB ZEN, and then scored the Bluetooth headphones that were discounted over a hundred bux over the Father's Day weekend.
I'm a disabled, over the hill gentleman, and wanted a media player to keep me company on the powerwheelchair rides into town and what not... Yes... Being able to drag or send **bleep** from internal memory to the SD card, vice versa would be a treat, but things are workable as is.
My ONLY problem thus far has been in trying to re-sync a couple of Audio Boox, FROM my ZEN internal flash memory, to my PC (that part looks as if it works out OK, and I can get them imported back into the AudioManager library) and then try to get them to hook in error free to one of the SD cards (it's here where the difficulty occurs)... I'd much prefer to have just music on the internal flash, and then carry all my extras on my cards; but I was all excited and stuff... Tried to take baby bites and little steps, but just couldn't resist digg!
There is simply no way that I can figure out how to get the Audio Books to stick without error on any of my cards. And therefore I am reluctant to delete them off the ZEN itself.
Ahhhwell... Li've and learn!
Overall.. I am tickled green with the Creative ZEN, the Earphones and the investment into the extra 0 gigs of card memory.
Well... That was a bit longer than I wished, but for ME, it was a pretty **bleep** short write!

Even if you could get protected content on the SD cards, AFAIK the Zen won't support bookmarks for files on the SD cards. That would make listening to lectures or audio books on the SD card would be very inconvenient?(who wants to have to remember where their place is, then fast forward to it each time they restart listening to it's). I am curious. Do you have any problems getting the audiobook files to play in the correct order, or do the tags sort them properly? It seems like many series of lectures or other series of audiofiles sort properly on the pc or in mp3 players that use the folder/filename system, but might not sort properly based on the ID3 tags?
