How do i get all my purchases onto a differant computor after my ipod has been wiped because my little sister tried my passcode wrong and it said connect to itunes but the laptop my ipod was connected to has broke how do i get my songs and apps back?
please help it came upto £50 worth
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Basically I was being cocky and I changed my password and now I can't get back in. I've tried to do it 11 times and now it's just telling me it's disabled and I have to connect ot iTunes. However, the computer that I ususally use has broken and it won't be fixed for a week or two and I need my phone so I downloaded iTunes on another computer and plugged it in but it tell's me to respond on my iPhone but I cannot because I have to unlock my phone to do that. If you do not have access to the computer you normally sync with, it may be necessary to use one of these methods to erase your phone and remove the passcode:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

Connect the iPod to irs syncing computer and restore via iTunes/ Place the iPod in Recovery mode if necessary to allow the restore.

While updating the iPhone 5 software from 6.1.3 to 6.1.4, the power failed. iTunes had just finished the backup and was beginning the software update. Now the phone screen says to connect to iTunes but the phone is not recognised when plugged in. Using Windows 7 and phone not recognised by computer, let alone by iTunes.
Any suggestions? Happy to take it off to the the Apple genius people but would prefer to get it running myself.

If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades. -

It doesn't say anything. It runs through the sync process like normal and tells me all of the songs that it's synking. But then when it says I can disconnect it, nothing actually synked.

You've connected the iPad via cable to your computer, and your computer's iTunes is up-to-date ? If it's icon isn't showing then try one of these troubleshooting pages :

I have ran itunes diagnostic tests SEVERAL times and says no ipod,iphone,or ipad found.is it my cord?(because this cord im using still charges the ipod)Or is it the ipod charger port? or my usb ports on the laptop (cause ive tried every usb port,same results).please help!!

One ipod connects to itunes but the other doesn't...?
I have 30GB ipod that works just fine with my labtop connecting to itunes and all. My problem is lately, when I try to connect my brothers nano to my computer, it shows the do not disconnect screen but that's it. I tried restarting his and the iPodService.exe thing but no luck. Why whould one work and not the other?
Have you had any luck with your second ipod? I actually have the same problem - I got one for myself and one as a gift. One of them connected to my network with no problem. The other one doesn't see any networks. I've restored it a couple times but I'm not willing to pay for the new software without knowing if that will fix the problem. I'm about ready to return it.

After my last itunes update there is no longer a button in the tool bar for me to view what is on my ipod. I can see screens that allow me to sync but I can't see any of the content, which means I can't add or delete anything without doing a full sync. I have always had my ipod set to manually manage my music because I don't want my entire library on my ipod (I also don't think it would fit). I don't want to have to restore my ipod as I have spent a lot of time setting up playlists that I use for work that aren't in my main library. What happened to the "on this ipod" button that was in the tool bar a week and a half ago? Is there a new route to get to view my ipod content? I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out and now I'm just getting angry. I buy apple products because they are supposed to be straight forward and easy to use... is this changing?
Go to the View menu and turn on the Status Bar. If you don't see the menus, go to the small icon with the arrow at the extreme upper left and select "Show Menu Bar":

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
